Looking for feedback on my newsletter idea

Working on creating a newsletter that will email followers a feed of the latest articles in watersports worlds. This could be interviews from sites like baseline or event highlights such as the upcoming masters qualifiers. I know not everyone likes following bunch of different Facebook pages which seems to be where most get thier news recently. Any interest is such a thing? Do you prefer strictly wakeboarding? Open to other watersports related info such as boating or innovations?

Can I buy a binding that I grow into?

Im getting a wakeboard and my shoe size is 9.5. I dont want to grow out of it by the time i come back from my summer trip, so i want to have a bigger size so that i can use it more. Im using the ronix diplomat bindings. Can I get a size 11 instead of 10? if i get a 10 and it doesnt fit anymore can I just give it back to the company for a little less money? Im 15, and I grow pretty quickly. At the beginning of the year i was a 9, and 3 months later i was a 9.5 and im still that now. Is it the same as wakeboots?

Favorite park bindings?

I just bought my first serious wakeboard, a ronix rxt board for the park. I’ve been wakeboarding for a while now and have always just found boards and bindings at used sports shops and yards sale but as i start doing ramps i’ve decided to invest in a pro board and a good pair of bindings. I would like a very responsive, comfortable binding. I’ve been looking into the Ronix One binding or possibly Space Mobs but i wanted opinions from you guys.

Made a guide chatting through the different kinds of wakeboard bindings. Hopefully it helps people shopping for their first pair or a new set.

Salmon vs Nomad

Hi, does anyone know if the Salmon is flexier than the Nomad? I really enjoyed riding the Nomad in the past but i'd like something more playful and flexier.

Will Cable Park features break a trick ski?

Hey yall! I'm 90% of a skier, but I was considering bringing my trick ski to the Orlando Wake Center. I've taken it there before to work on surface tricks, but didn't hit any features in the case that it would break.

Anyone have experience with trick skis on ramps and platforms? I don't want to break it, but it would be fun to hit them

Wakeboard tower

I have a 2005 bay liner 185 and I am thinking about installing a wake tower but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money or if there’s a way to get it to make a bigger wake and also what kind of tower

Electric winch experience

Look for anyone who has used electric winches and can give honest feedback..pros and cons.

I've been looking at motowinch, rewinch, and sculpture. I recently found out that sculpture doesn't ship to USA so that is unfortunately out.

Motowinch seems like the best high quality build, but the newest preorder bundle is priced at $6k + shipping. It appears they are including a longer line, upgraded antenna and mounting straps with v2 bundle.

Rewinch is much cheaper around 3.5k for everything and it looks like you can now add on the RC driver remote option, saving a couple thousand dollars. I appreciate any honest feedback you can give! It's a big investment either way.

My family has a boat on a lake few hours away. I've always enjoyed winching locally as well as places boats/ jetskis can't get to. I'm sick of lugging around the old heavy gas winch I built years ago and I'm ready for an electric option.

Thanks!

Trying to get myself a wakeboard

Hello fellow humanoids. I want to get a good looking wakeboard, and im 5’3 and weigh 120lbs. Im growing, and im not sure if il grow out of a wakeboard quickly. I want an advanced board for spins and grinds and jumps and flips but with a good design. im not sure if these 2 are advanced but i really like them. Ronix: the diplomat, Hyperlite: codyak. but bindings are also a problem. I want a good advanced binding, but something easy to put on. So like the hyperlite pro system bindings 2023, and a gooey boot that would suit the binding and the diplomat, and/ or the codyak. But maybe a different binding is good. My shoe size is 9.5 and would it be fine if i got like an 11 gooey boot or binding so i wont grow out of it?

Between MC NXT24 and Tigé 22RZX… thoughts?

2022 NXT24 and a 2020 Tigé. Looking to mainly wakesurf and pull tubers. Tige looks super nice. Engine hours and price are comparable with Tige being 12k more.

Those who own/have ridden what’s your thoughts and experience?

Looking for wake friends around the Cincinnati area! 🌊🚤

Hey everyone! I'm a semi-beginner in the sport and would love to get out and ride more! For both wakeboarding and wakesurfing. I sadly don't have a boat (do have gear) but I'd love to pitch in for gas, drinks, or even bring baked goods 😊 (I like to bake and need the excuse so I don't eat a whole batch of cupcakes myself)

I've only driven a boat once but I'm highly interested in learning/pitching in and have been trying to find classes for it, which isn't as easy as I thought it would be.. I live in Cincinnati/NKY but am willing to travel almost anywhere around the tri-state area!

I'm up to ride at Wake Nation as well 🤙🏼

Generate wake on Boats w/ outboard engine (for 2nd wake foiling and wakeboarding jumps)

I belong to a boat club.. all the deck boats they have are outboards.

Here is the wake it generates, some clips i uploaded from late last year.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VApuy3VOjhU&t=455s

there is barely any wake.. with no visible 2nd wake.. This year we are going to try to jump wake to wake and try to play with wake foiling with the second wake.

Is there anyway we can make the wake larger without altering the boat too much? these are club boats, we can't like change things too much. I've seen these wake shapers, do these even work without ballast? Also can i use these on outboards?

thx

Board Size/recommendations

Hey all!

I’m seeing some mixed things online about board sizes, so wanted to consult the pros.

I’m 5’11 160 lbs athletic build, throwing basic inverts and working on spins.

Right now I ride a 134, which I was recommended, but now hearing it’s much too small.

As well, any thoughts between continuous/3 stage rocker? Board recommendations?

Cheers

Wetsuit / Water Temp

I haven’t seen this asked recently so just wanted to throw the question out.

What temps (water / air) do you start riding without a wetsuit?

Water temps are starting to reach high 60s where I am with air temps in the 70-80s. I’ve been in a 3/2 and been comfortable. Just wondering when I should think about ditching the suit.

Curious to hear from others.

At what weight is considered too heavy to wake jump?

I weigh 200 lb. I have some difficulty jumping.. I can do a tiny bit bunny hope.. still learning how to edge more and add more pressure so I can jump higher.. but its defintely not easy..

My buddies who I go wakeboarding with weighs 230 and 280.

They both can't even do bunny hops.. Anybody here weighs a lot and can do jumps?

Also.. we are a bit older.. im mid 30s they are early 40s..

Board size recommendations for 11yr old beginner

Hi everyone My daughter is 11, about 90lbs. She can skateboard and snowboard very well so this summer I want her to try wakeboarding. From what I’ve learned, a size 120-125 would be the right size for her? Would she be grown out of a 120 by Summer ‘25? Would a 125 be too much board for her to handle this summer?

Thanks in advance

If I wear my mtb helmet and neckbrace when I wakeboard will I be immune to edges?

Balance Board

Hi all, this might be slightly OT, I apologize in advance.

So I've been cable wakeboarding in the summers for the last few years, wouldn't say I'm particularly talented, right now I can switch stance and consistently land the kicker and sometimes do a 180. During winters I ski, I'm not interested in skateboarding, so basically my time on a board is just on those cable runs.

I was looking for a balance board with the goal of enjoying myself with a unorthodox way of training and maybe also with the idea of improving a bit my overall balance on the wakeboard.

I don't want to spend much on what I feel is "a nice to have" rather than something I actually need and I ran into this:

https://amzn.eu/d/aKroy1n

which costs way less than indoboard or revbalance boards https://revbalance.com/balance-boards/ .

I am definitely no expert on the topic, I read some subreddits about balance boards and bosu balls with contrastive opinions.

I'm looking for a new trailer tongue jack

I have the standard Fulton jack that come on most boats. I think I've had about 10 of them in my 25 years of boating. I'm wondering if anyone has found a jack that they find particularly robust?
