For pre-1980 or so TV shows -- but not the usual Lucy or Gunsmoke reruns. This subreddit is for the ephemeral TV programs of the pre-VCR era -- the stuff no one ever expected to see again: newscasts, local kiddie shows and horror movie hosts, live TV dramas, game shows, soap operas, teen dance parties... Oh, and kinescopes. Lots and LOTS of kinescopes.

Surprisingly, this show lasted 4 seasons (97 episodes total!) beginning in 1977 and ending in 1981. It was syndicated, not a network show, so the days and times it played varied wildly depending on this whims of your local programming. That is, if one of your local channels even bothered to pick it up at all.
The non-thinking man's version of the successful NBC show Real People. Played more for laughs than Real People. But I may be misremembering. Maybe Real People was every bit as lowbrow as this...? The phony laugh track is the icing on the cake!
