Welcome to my little page for VU. Here we talk about all things VU and some not VU. Lets talk courses, advice, events and whatever you fancy that is even remotely related to your time at VU :))

I am planning on joining VU for a bachelor of data science. Anyone currently studying or studied at VU for this subject? Any feedback?
Hi. Does anyone know when the Vuhq people stop showing up for this year? thanks for any help
Hello. I'm currently in year 12 hoping to become a future speech pathologist. I'm aware that this course is fairly new, but I haven't found much information about it besides the screenrecorded online information session on youtube. I couldn't go to the uni open day either because it clashed with ACU's (which is my top uni).
I just wanted to know what the course is like in terms of placements and practice or just anything really. I'd also like to know how many days you attend a week for this course and the accreditation of this course. I read that it is still under the qualifying stage which I don't really get. Does this mean that by the time the first batch graduates, they are fully accredited under Speech Pathology Australia? I feel like I don't know enough to know what to ask, so any information would be helpful!
I know this uni has a bad reputation for its terrible management and administration, but besides that, is vic uni good? To be honest, I'm feeling in low spirits about getting into ACU. I'm afraid I won't meet the prerequisite study score or ATAR, so vic uni is sort of like my plan B.
Opinions, advice, or information from current students studying this course will be much appreciated :)
My classmates and I got a high 50% to 75% turnitin score because program looks at the previous submitted works of other students of the unit and it's because the assessment we are given is just rehashed with changed names and a few number moved around but the they seek the same critiquing and answers. Can they please change it up a notch or two please?
Hi everyone,
Would I be able to find any tourism management students here (in any form) who would be willing to answer a few questions about the course?
Mans thanks in advance. 😊
Hey guys,
I completed my degree in Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and was accepted into a Masters in Speech Pathology. I'm just wondering if anyone has gone that same pathway? I don't have any requisites in Speech Pathology, so I'm a bit worried I'll be lost in this degree compared to everyone else.
Circumstances has happened and yeah.. and I also need help in making it seem like I’ve quit uni as well..
Asking because am so desperate.. Can anyone help me?
Hey!
Does anyone have any experience doing a bachelor of social work here?
I’m not getting an ATAR so this would be the only uni I could do a bachelor rather than through TAFE to a bachelor so I was wondering if it was worth trying my luck here rather than going through a community services diploma?
Thanks!
Hi, just curious if you could give me your opinions about doing a civil engineering master with Vic Uni?, it is provisionally accredited by Eng Australia, which makes me to feel a little bit unsecure about doing it, how is the uni quality? or which other options would you suggest me to check? Thanks
Hi guys, so I will be joining this July to pursue my masters degree in Melbourne, hence looking for a place in the suburbs as staying in the city is alot more expensive at the moment. I am looking for someone who is happily willing to help me out to look for an accommodation and also go for an inspection as I am not in the country and moving for the first time. I know that I am asking way too much and it’s totally blunt for this platform. But honestly guys I am left with no option as I have no friends or relatives so I am looking for someone who can genuinely do this favour for me and ultimately I help them back once I am the city. Please, please reach out to me if you genuinely want to help me out and drop a Dm so that we can discuss it further. TIA 🙏🏼
please stay away if you want to throw up your peep talk and criticism in the comments
I’ve found it easier at studying at Monash and I finished up a Law/Math double at ANU and achieved good marks.
Transferring to my masters of teaching I wanted to maintain HD’s for future employers. One of my past units wasn’t credited and redoing it at VU it’s not harder but poorly ran.
Being technically an international student I still grew up here, so no language barrier. I doubt it’s staff assuming students will compromise for a visa? My mostly domestic class is struggling. The tutors/tech hurdles are more work than anything I’ve experienced.
They seem to only want to discuss things in weekly calls. The tutors often mix up who I am or what class it is. I’m hearing similar from students in other courses. Is this the average Aussies experience at VU?
Could someone share their experiences? I’m pondering between VU, La Trobe and Deakin. Thanks heaps in advance!
Hey all, I have a couple of offers in the Masters of Counselling at Swinburne and VU and trying to make a considered decision. Is there anyone currently doing the course who could give me some feedback on how you are finding it? Many thanks in advance 😊
Good day everyone! I am an aspiring international student who wishes to take up a diploma of Civil Engineering then after that I'll proceed with my bachelor's degree in the same course. I would like to ask what is the acceptance rate of international students? Also what are the chances to get accepted for a scholarship? Thank you very much!
Hi everyone!
I’m part of an organisation that does free consulting for non-for-profits and we're currently working with an NGO whose aim is to help international students succeed within Australia. We’re conducting market research through surveys to better understand key challenges that international students face whilst studying here.
If you’re an international student studying in Australia I would highly appreciate it if you could please fill out the below surveys.

Hello,
I am considering applying for the Master of Software Development program but don’t know how great it is. Can someone please give me some insight?
Thank you!
Please private PM for any contacts for tabs or kush. posting here was a last resort
Hi, I've got offered the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, and I can't accept the offer because the system is down. The person I spoke to reset the system and changed my password, yet it was still down. She said other people have been having issues with it and have somehow fixed it. If anyone has had this issue and solved it please tell me how! I'd really appreciate it :)
I'm a current yr 11 vce student and not having the best attendance so I'm gonna try apply for a cert IV and if i can get a spot before the year ends i will drop yr 11. C4 I.T at vicuni? hows the workload for that anyway and then move onto the bach of I.T and potentially switch unis then
You've got an in-person tutorial at Footscray or the City, and then an online class? Or feel like just going someplace else to study in niceness? Here's a little list of places for you to think about!
First of all, BRING HEADPHONES if you can. Not only does it help you keep out the noise others are making, it also keeps others from getting disturbed by any videos you might be watching.
