Welcome to Hollywood Arts!
Victorious is a Nickelodeon sitcom revolving around aspiring singer Tori Vega, portrayed by Victoria Justice, who is accepted into Hollywood Arts, a performing arts high school. While the invitation comes as a surprise, Hollywood Arts might just give Tori her chance to make it shine.

Just like Victoria, Leon influenced the show so much that without him, it wouldn’t really be “Victorious”. He has writing credits on several songs and he wrote “Song 2 You” before Victorious at 14.
They reference him in both the songs in that episode. in All I want, they sing the line “I may not dance like MJ R.I.P” and then they perform I want you back. Is that’s a coincidence or was that intentional?

Day one: Tori Vega I'll choose the most chosen one for her
It says I can vote for the banner in a pinned post but nothing is pinned.
what is yall favorite subplot? mine is definitely cat and robbie singing bad news to people in tori and jades playdate
i feel like i need to preface this by saying i like all the characters bc i don’t take this show too serious but they still do things sometimes that piss me off LMAO. im watching stage fighting at the beginning of the episode where jade asks tori why she cares if beck was being hurt by russ and tori says something along the lines of “i figure he already suffers enough pain dating you” and jade got mad as expected and then tori asks andre “why does she hate me” GIRL YOU JUST INSULTED HER 😭 and im just laughing bc what 😭😭
Basically the title I was confused lol cuz she is acc pretty
Victorious was cancelled because of Nick wanting to try something new. Nick decided to make shows that were more kid-friendly. Victorious was more for preteens/teens and Nick decided to not make any more musical shows as after Victorious ended, they made superhero shows. Musical shows got more expensive, which is why they cancelled How To Rock, Big Time Rush, and Victorious all within 5-8 months apart of each other. It was also cancelled because of what happened behind the scenes of filming. Nickelodeon cancelled Victorious in the middle of season 3, and split Season 3 into two parts, making the major episodes put in Season 3, and making the childish/not important episodes in season 4. Nick didn't want to add any new storylines to the show, so they decided to do that. That is why Victorious was cancelled most definitely. Sorry if that was a lot.

Liz Gillies (Jade) did a People’s interview detailing what happened to the music side of her career. Someone from this sub was asking this question like last week and it’s like Liz heard!
TLDR: Liz and other cast mates got signed to Columbia Records after Victorious and the songs they were giving her weren’t her style. Liz likes musical theater, folk, and classical but the label gave her a lot of Pink, Avril, and Kelly Clarkson type songs so that record deal eventually fizzled out.
Then Liz was just creating with her husband who’s also a producer, Michael Corcoran, and she thought they would be a duo like Carly Simon and James Taylor. That wasn’t in the cards, but they do write together and have collaborated on Dynasty.
Fast forward to the lockdown when Liz’s friend, Seth Macfarlane, reached out to her and they did a jazz album together and last year released the Christmas album “We Wish You the Merriest”.
Liz touring with Seth got her excited about music again and she recently worked with indie singer, Ferry Townes. Liz went in with the intention of writing with her, but when Liz was recording demos she realized she would just turn the volume up on Julia’s (the singer of Ferry Townes) voice anyway and the solo sessions just became a duet.
Liz and Julia just dropped the song “What You’ve Done” and it’s so beautiful and nostalgic. In the article Liz said she doesn’t consider her music with Seth as her debut so this song really is “Liz Gillies the Artist”. Liz currently has a solo series at the Cafe Carlyle which has been a dream of hers as a kid.

Kinda an ironic ending to such a victorious show

Having "The Blonde Squad" episode made me wonder why Victorious never had a main female character that was blonde? They had four main girls but they couldn't make one of them blonde?
Obviously the show was made for Victoria off Zoey 101. Back then no one knew Ariana but in 2024 it would be ridiculous to talk about replacing her and even back then having a red haired girl made her unique. Daniella also appeared in Zoey 101 and I imagine they wanted her in the show as well so Elizabeth was the most replaceable of the four ladies. Now making Jade a blonde is just screaming Sam Puckett and that's been done before. Daniella was a bully in Zoey 101 so she could have been Jade and a blonde could've been Trina. Or blondes are usually stereotypically "ditzy", they could've had the blonde be Cat and have Ari play Trina (who's kind of ditzy anyway).
Other shows have the lead female character be dark haired (iCarly comes to mind) but they still usually have at least one main girl/woman who is blonde to counteract other than shows with mostly minority casts (and that isn't the case of Victorious).
I wished they had an episode where the group in their costumes sneak into the Scissoring House. At least had the characters in costume though with Dirty Dan well... Let's just say the costumes would have been risky.

So in the Prom episode where Tori decides the school should have a prom (or prome as she called it) because Hollywood arts never had one but in the first episode Robbie (or rex) said that Cat wanted a date to the last prom but didn't get one.
If they never had a prom then what prom was Robbie (or rex) talking about? Or was that a mistake or something they forgot about?
Her husband was the dad of Henry Danger.
i was rewatching some episodes when i thought to myself, what do tori’s parents even do for work? i know that tori’s dad is a cop, but i’m not sure what her mom does (also do cops even make enough money to be able to afford/sustain that lifestyle?)
& i’m sure that hollywood arts would be super expensive to afford… but they seem well off with that big ahh apartment house which seems like it’s on a hill…
