Whats up?
I've forgotten to add "in Vancouver" to my title. Sorry
The battery in the screen has done a bulge, and I am not on warranty any more (first gen surface book), I am not thrilled with the idea that I'll get goodness knows what in as a replacement for a laptop that I spent so much money on.
Everything still works and the battery is still charging. I just want to know if anyone is doing repairs on these units. I've taken it to a few places that have said that they can't because they aren't able to get replacement parts.
Please reply if you know of anyone (shop, not private individual) who can do this type of work.
Game themed pub night fundraiser for Extra Life! October 13 at the Lamplighter.
Bring a board game, play some pinball and trivia, and there will be raffles and prizes. Not far from the convention center if you're looking for something to do after Fan Expo!
I’m hoping to get some of these this summer. Where is a good place to buy and launch?

And
Sarah Connor vs Michonne - Who would be better leader during an apocalypse? (Headliner) We are at our NEW location: XY on Davie! Doors at six, show begins at 7.

UBC eSports Association is holding a two weekend event, featuring League of Legends and DOTA 2 tournaments hosted at Wangyu Cyber Café (8555 Sea Island Way, Richmond). Each member of a team that is eliminated will receive an additional raffle ticket as we will be raffling off peripherals and various prizing. There's a GIANT prize pool so if you're hesitating now is the time to get in this.

Hello there! I'm new to the city and I'm looking to start a new RPG group. I'm a DM looking for fun players. I have a variety of different systems we can play and any campaign will be previously discussed with everyone so we agree on what type of game we would like to play.
The only problem is that my place isn't suited for meeting (I don't even have a living room), so we would need to find someplace else.
If anyone is interested reply or PM me or whatever.

I haaaate asking friends/family to pet sit (again), and hiring a pet sitting service is always expensive, even sometimes a bit sketchy. I'm a UX/website designer with an idea for creating a simple, local pet sitting exchange finder that could totally solve this problem for myself, making it easy to swap regular, reliable, FREE pet care with other carefully verified, loving, nearby pet owners - would you use this, too?? Just reaching out for your thoughtful feedback, fellow Vancouver Nerd Redditers. Take 3 mins to weigh in anonymously by clicking the link http://goo.gl/forms/gjhJKXjrn1xaADDq1 (just a dozen multiple choice questions) and if there’s enough of us to go for it and you'd like to be a part of helping me test it, I promise I'll come up with an awesome way to say thanks for helping me out in the beginning stages. Thanks for reading! <3

Hi VancouverNerds,
I work in the area of IT and my current contract is about to expire. I love the areas of tech, science and nerd culture and want to pursue something in one of those areas. I currently work for a recruiter and getting placed at whatever company has an opening but I want to settle down in a company that I support with people that I have stuff in common with. I had a short contract with EA games in Burnaby a while back and I loved being surrounded by so many like minded people. I was thinking I should try working for another game studio or something that sells nerdy merch and stuff. Does anyone have a few suggestions for places I should look into applying for?
Thanks!
