So guys i have a question. Whenever im playing Valorant i only lag during the game phase. my ping goes from 10 to 800 at random all game but as soon as im dead or its buyphase again i have constant 10-20 ping and then when barrier drops its unplayable. Anyone have a solution?
Hello!
I don't know what to play. I feel like I have good game sense and I'm always igl. I always end up going duelist, but I'm just to inconsistent. I either top 2 frag or bottom frag. My aim isn't my strongest suit(but not my worst either).
What turns me away from most agents is the fact that i'm just to lazy to learn lineups, that's why my aim is not the greatest, practicing it is too boring.
Any recommendations on what i should play?
As clove has come out recently, I wanted to know the community's opinion on voice actor for clove, and that also got me thinking; which voice actor has done the best job; perfect accent, natural tone; stuff like that!
What do yall think?
Look I'm not making this discussion simply to complain about my elo being thrown. I've accepted I can't do anything about it and basically "gg go next" whenever it happens to me at this point. It's my intention to just objectively state the reasons Riot should care more about its smurfing problem in all their games. But I think the biggest reason primarily affects Valorant.
We all know smurfs ruin both the competitive integrity of the game as well as the experience of all other players. Sure it feels "good" to get an easy game bc you have a no comming Reyna on your team taking a shit on every enemy they see or a cracked jett who is good for 3 frags every round. But let's not be delusional and pretend like that RR feels earned.
Riot should care more about deterring smurfs in my opinion because the most common rank to smurf is Silver/Gold. I'm not at all trying to say smurfing doesn't exist in every rank, it does. But Silver/Gold are the ranks with the highest population of players by a large margin. These are mostly new players and I feel that smurfing leads to new players giving up on the game bc of this issue. Of course throwers/afkers are also an issue which you could argue those players may also be attempting to drop elo to smurf harder.
I think the longer the game is out, the more of an issue this will become. The less new player retention is bad for the community. Not saying the game is gonna die bc of it. But silver/gold will be less populated as time goes on bc the only players left are long time players that are out of the elo with the highest percentage of smurfs. Then this issue will continue to cascade due to the elo percentages being top-heavy. More low elo players will be put in games with higher elo players bc of lower player count in low elo. This would be a bit more balanced than outright smurfs in the game. It would be more like silvers being put in games with plat players on and against their team. This is more tolerable than say a team of silvers vs 4 silvers and a diamond smurf. But either way i feel that this issue has the potential to hit a critical point that will snowball into more and more issues as the game continues to age.
It would also be great if Riot took a single small step at discouraging smurfs by punishing smurfing content. These radiant/immo 3s constantly doing "Road to Radiant" series so frequently is absurd. Riot should be banning these people or at LEAST temporarily timing them out for a significant time 1+ months.
Honestly, for a game that requires kernel-level access for it's anti-cheat, there's just no way they can't hardware ban players to prevent more accounts from being made.
TLDR: The smurfing problem affects low elo the most bc it has the most players. This can cause less new players to continue playing, leading to even more and more unfair matchmaking in the future as time goes on.
I would love to hear others chime in. But if you're an ascendant 3 and about to comment saying smurfing isn't as bad of an issue as the community makes it seem, please save it. If you're getting smurfs in only a couple games per week as a player in the top 5% of the player base, imagine how common the issue is at gold or silver where >50% of players reside.
idk maybe I am an exception but most of my matches have been pretty normal. Normal as in we blame each other for mistakes but nothing like WW3 of abuses, very few times grudges were held. so please share why you feel it's awful
I'm mainly playing CS2 in high ranks, and I played Valo for a couple of weeks until CS2 fixed their cheating problems. Now that I quit Valo, I want to write down my thoughts on how to get out of low elo, having a lot of first-hand experience in there (got to plat elo pretty quickly)
I will offer my list of hot takes and how to actually correct these behaviours. Feel free to disagree, but keep in mind I wanna keep this post chill, and just want to help out low elo players that wanna learn the game.
To get out of iron/bronze:
To get ouf of silver:
To get out of gold:
I know the list is not exhaustive, definitely feel free to add what's missing in the comments.
Have fun!
Last act i wasn't top fragging every game but I still was doing pretty well. But for some reason, these past 2 or 3 weeks I keep playing horribly and consistently botfragging. Not sure if I just got worse suddenly or what
What is the best lightweight mouse that I can use? I currently have Glorious Model D Pro Vice. If you can give me the pros and cons, it will help a lot.
My guess is that this might be some sort of Anticheat invisible player for Aimbots to lock on to.
Had the same thing happen to me in escalation with the knife from the last battlepass, anyone know what this is?
How many fps do you guys get in this game?
I’ve seen benchmarks of same specifications of laptop that I have, i7-12700H and maxed 3060, they get 300-350 fps but mine barely go above 250 and after 1-2 hours they barely touch 200.
So ive been to trying to reach immortal this act for the buddy but im getting bad lobbies even though i que with high elo players with high MMR i still get bad lobbies and recently the MMR gain and loss have been bad|
What can i do to improve this?

Started playing E7A2, almost 9 months later I'm here.
My hs rate is pretty abysmal at 13.5%. It took me 60+ hours to get used to the game's mechanics before I started killing people consistently.
Hi. To the story: I met with my friends this weekend for a LAN party. We really wanted to grind Valorant and decided to play full stack. I had the worst matchmaking experience ever. about me: I have been playing the game for about 20-30 hours and have been ranked Silver 3. I was able to take over my crosshair placement and the aim a lot from CS GO (Was Legendary Eagle). Every game we got Bronze-Iron opponents who shot us into Nirvana with ridiculous OneTaps and had absolutely insane lineups in stock. I have the feeling that there are only shit Smurfers when you decide to play in full team and it's so annoying. What's your experience? And can I also report these Smurfers and will they also be banned?

The mouse I am using is the Razer DA Essential. My DPI is 1600 (supposedly) and my sens in game is 0.26. However, this feels and looks slugglish and slow compared to when I watch Tenz use the same settings. Is the DPI scale off or whats going on. In the video my arm is moving far to flick.
How do you get the omen comic book cover player banner? I haven't played since v1.0 and am wondering if i missed out?
The Free 2 Play shooter from Ubisoft has no SBMM in casual mode and tons of content planned like new maps regularly, characters, etc. XDefiant might have less Engagement Optimized Matchmaking compared to other shooters like Valorant.
Valorant has had the same few maps in rotation for an excruciatingly long time now. Rarely adding new maps. Valorant has basically 1 game mode. XDefiant will have many modes. What do you guys think?
I’ve been playing valorant for about 2 years now, and have been hardstuck gold since the start, first episode I finished I was gold 1, currently peak gold 3. I am a super inconsistent player with average aim and game sense, yet I play this game so much, I’m just wondering how all you immortals got through this Elo hell, or just how to improve in general, any thing would help! my tracker is Lego Robin #1330 for anyone wondering!
Every time I play this map, it's a 5v5 mid peek the entire match. Easily the least playable map with 0 thought processes behind the layout. It's not fun at all but how else are you supposed to play it? Terrible map design and feels like a waste of time playing it. At the end of the day, it's a 10-minute TDM match but it baffles me that this map exists.
4 AFK, and I still lose 19 for this game, just great.
They all left because the enemy Jett and Reyna were clearly smurfing.
Each round was over in under 30s.
3rd game in a row I lost to smurfs (other 2 we lost 11-13 and I cant really complain about those apart from the enemy team solely being carried by a 30-10 Reyna)
Getting a double smokes comp in ranked doesn't happen very often, but when it does and I'm on Astra, it unlocks a completely new playstyle that, in my opinion, is highly underrated. I don't have to worry too much about smoking for my team, and just constantly dump stars around me to lurk on attack or anchor on defense, and it's generally very effective. I'm not suggesting that everyone goes out and tried it, but something about having all four stars on your own site on defense is just incredible.
To be short, I'm a CS player giving a shot to Valorant, mainly because of the cheating issue in the former. Playing unranked, I top fragged all my 3 games, comunicated as much as I could and was a really positive player towards others. But man, people just raged out of nowhere, even in one round where I got 4 kills and died to the last enemy while 1v5. CS is not all sunshine and rainbows with its community neither, but I would 100% get a teammate saying something like "nice try" or "great effort" after this kind of play.
Anyway, I'd just like to know if things get better or if I was unlucky with those lobbies. Thanks in advance!
Hello, just curious as to the chances of valorant being willing to swap my skins from my main account that is not longer working to my alt account that does work. Is that something they would do??
While in ranked, we had a situation where enemy omen tried to ult to get spike and go to other site. our Iso countered him by using his own ult, which brought him to arena.
I was spectating (since death) and saw it all happen. Can someone test this if this actually works?
Hello,
I am quite good with agents having flash (except Reyna, idk why). So, I prefer playing with them and I do great with them. Not just my KDR but my win ratio is also high with those agents.
However, I don't have good stats with agents like Cypher and Brimstone. And even my win ratio is also low. For reference, I average 1.2-1.4 KDR with agents having flash with over 60% win ratio. And less than 1 KDR with Cypher with 42% win ratio. With Brimstone, I do even worse and have 0.4 KDR and 46% win ratio.
There are matches where nobody wants to take smoke and I feel it is extremely important to have one in every match (unless we have good Viper player). In Split, I find Cypher and Sage quite important. So, I play them.
Just like that, I have some important agents in certain maps.
However, whenever no one is taking any of them, I take them. I try to do my best but I don't feel comfortable with them, considering how I like to play.
It feels even worse when I see others playing the agent I prefer in the worst possible way.
So, I wonder if I should stop filling and just play the agents I play best.
Cant post two images in this subreddit for some reason so ill try to explain the scoreboards as best as possible.
(All swiftplay btw)
In Image 1 i pick clove to fill smokes and i go 2 - 10...... whilst my buddy im queueing with goes 22-5 we are on Polar Opposite sides of the scoreboard him at the top and me in dead last
Meanwhile ONE match after he leaves litterally the match after he leaves i go 7 - 2 on yoru and win 5 - 1 and claim match and team mvp like, How does this happen and why do i do so good when i solo queue?:(
What’s the disease called that makes all of you allergic to ULTING? Easily top 3 one of the best ults in the game.
