So I’m transferring to UWB in the winter-25, and currently at my college I needed a pass but I didn’t want to pay for a pass so I just park there everyday and I pray coming back to it in hopes that I don’t find a ticket. So far, (thankfully and hopefully i don’t jinx it) I haven’t been ticketed for it, so I was wondering if i’d have luck doing the same at uwb…? i just don’t want to pay for parking, i’d rather use that money on textbooks or something, but of course if I need to i’ll end up getting the pass.
hi I’m paying out of state tuition in NY rn and I got rejected from UW Seattle. my family can afford to help me and I don’t really want to transfer, but it’s really expensive and puts a lot of pressure on me. I was wondering what the social life is like here? I know it’s a small college. I am a CS major and a girl(💀) if that helps.

Does anybody know if my BCORE grade counts toward my GPA?
Looking for a example midterm/final to study for CSS 301 specifically
I am a bit confused on this and don't want to take difficult css classes that go to waste. I have applied for the csse program with a 3.0 in 142 4.0 in 143 3.3 in calc1 and 3.9 in calc 2 (retook after taking an S) and I have a good amount of RDs that were justified in my personal statement. My whole GPA is 3.75 so considering all of that I personally feel like I have a 50/50 chance of getting in since winter quarter is the least competitive. I already signed up for these classes and they don't require you to actually be in the program to take them, so if I don't get accepted to csse but reapply and get accepted for spring or any other quarter after would they still count for the degree if I complete them? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
And I know I should be asking my academic advisor this, but the thought of them not counting just popped in my head and reddit can be fast sometimes lol. I am still emailing them though.
I was wondering if I can sign up for classes before A&O? I am a transfer student and I have my online orientation on December 6, but I am seeing that the classes that I need to take are filling up real quick for the health studies major. I went through my 2 years of college with signing up for classes myself and just going after my program's checklist without listening to my advisor, because I know that many people have had issues with falling behind sometimes because they end up taking classes they didn't need, but it was the advisor that set them up. I want to just follow the health studies major checklist and sign up for at least a class or two, but I am afraid that I might get in trouble or something when I meet the advisor and they see that I have already signed up for classes. Any advice???

Did anyone graduate from UWB with no debt and no loans taken out? I am a low income student and I just received my financial aid letter and it is very very low. According to the cost of attendance budget that is planned out for me... I am looking at nearly 18k per quarter. I am planning to commute to UWB.. about 30 minutes away and I am living with my parents. It looks like I will be taking multiple classes per quarter, so I wanted to see if graduating debt-free is possible since my FA is literally nothing.
Will i get in 🤕i have 3.4
has anyone taken calc 1 at uwb? what was ur guy's experience and what teacher would be best to take it with?
Will failing one 5 credit class + it's 2 credit lab fuck my financial aid?I have the possibility of passing the lab but the lecture I feel I have no hope for now. I went through some health issues that took me out of all my classes for three weeks and in this particular class I've already missed an exam and I have one tomorrow. My prof will only allow me to make up one exam. I'm going to change it from standard grading to no credit grading so it doesn't impact my GPA but I was wondering if it'd fuck me financially. This is my first quarter at UWB as a transfer. I know some people who have failed classes 3-4 times and are retaking it and they seem fine. But idk my anxiety is killing me it putting me in THAT loop.
I will be transferring for spring start and wanted to know my chances grade/GPA wise.
I have a 3.8 GPA and a prerequisite GPA of 3.66. I have 4.0s in English 101, 102, and Calc 151. I have a 3.0 in CSC 142, 3.7 in CSC 143, and 3.1 in Calc 152.
Am I in a tough spot?
Hello UW Bothellites, with the school and public libraries closed tomorrow, what would a good quiet study place be that I could hole up to work on a paper?
Thanks in advance!
I will pay you for your spot
i’m a student at uw seattle and i was interested in taking physics at bothell because all the seattle sections are at weird times. i saw it’s hybrid with just the quiz sections being in person but has anyone here taken it? are they mandatory? someone told me they weren’t and that there weren’t really exams so it should be fine? registering soon so any advice is appreciated
I've heard CSS 475 is a very useful course and many people have recommended taking it, but the professor for this course in winter is John Chenault. His rate my professor ratings are not the best, with some people saying it's impossible to do well. My course load for the next quarter is a little busy and I want to be able to manage it. Has anyone taken this course with this professor? Any suggestions?
Hey i'm an senior at UW Bothell, with an accounting option what's an easy 300/400 level class to fulfill that requirement. accounting and finance is easy for me too .
Is it gonna be hard if i have not taken the other bioinformatic classes? Is the class conducted with Python?
I am currently a high school senior(in-state), my cum gpa is 3.46 for 11th 10th and 9th combined. However for 9th, 10th, and as far as currently in 12th I have a perfect 4 gpa, the only reason my gpa dipped was as in 11th grade semester 1 I was in India and our courses their were reallly tough so my gpa for sem 1 of 11th grade is a 2.20 but for sem 2( which i attended here in usa) is a 3.88 which brings my total 11th grade gpa to a 3.04. I needed advice if i can somehow show/explain this dip in the application. My ACT score is a 29 and I am yet to give the SAT in novemeber. My ecs are very mediocre. Going by my cum gpa of 3.46 and and an ACT score of 29, how good are my chances for acceptance. (and the major im interested in cse). I am also sorry for lengthy writing, I was really stressed so I would greatly appreciated any feedback.
i'm currently a premajor student at uwb, in my 2nd year. can someone please recommend and give me some insight about what teachers to take for the required business classes to be able to apply for your major? i checked all of the teachers and classes on rate my professor, but they ALL have bad reviews 😭. please also share your experiences as well, thank you SO much!
Hello,
I'm a data science minor and I'm curious as to which electives are the most practical/useful? I'm totally new to data and don't really know a whole lot about the tools and what the data industry is looking for. I'm debtaing between data visualization/ML/intro to AI.
Heres the list of electives!
Lmk which two are most useful or share ur experiences. Thank you!
how was the class? and how hard is the final and exam?
so how am i supposed to look for internships when I have no experience? I want to apply for internships but don’t know where to look since this would be my first one.
I’m in applied computing but am stuck on what to minor or focus in. If I pick something from the seattle minors I assume I have to take the classes at the seattle campus right?
Thinking of doing informatics or data science minor? Maybe even business administration? What’re my other AC majors doing?
Hey everyone, I lost a charger last Thursday at UW2-221. I left it in the classroom after an afternoon class. The charger had an Apple computer head and a gray USB-C chord. If anyone has information on it I would greatly appreciate it.
(Friends tell me that it’s gone for good. But I am crossing my fingers.)
