All right title says it all. Which one do yall recommend?
Hey everyone, would really like to get out and shoot some competitions. Just wondering what are some good ways to make the most out of your ammo? How should you train with it? I’ve done a lot of dry firing so I think I’d be using that a lot.
Also, I’ve noticed classes are fairly expensive for just one lesson. So how would you go about getting the best instruction for your money. I know YouTube has a lot of stuff but I don’t think that’s anything like some in person adjustments. Thanks guys.
I plan to use my carry gun, a P-01, to start competing in USPSA Carry Optics, and am looking for mag extensions. Does anyone make full length extensions that sit flush with the compact models, so that I don't have to worry about issues with over-insertion?
I have a p320 rxp and would like to swap the Romeo 1 pro with a new red dot that has a bigger window and moving the Romeo 1 pro to a backup.
The 507 comp plus a plate costs about the same as a Romeo 3 max. I also have a 15% discount at sig.
Do I avoid a plate and go sig? Thoughts on the right path forward?
What type of first aid equipment should a shooter be equipped with and proficient in its use? I'm guessing tourniquet and trauma kit but any recommendations?
I'm missing complete scores for 2 squads on a single stage. Same tablet was used on that stage for the entire match. Has a squad before and then a hole in the lineup then it picks up 3 squads later. ROs never changed tablets and scored competitors during both those squads. Is there anyway to cover the data that should have been generated?
I am contemplating a holster for my CZ TS2, and am looking at the ghost hydra line of holsters. I like the look of the hydra P but i am not opposed to the normal Hydra. I can’t find if it will fit the shadow 2 version or not. Anyone have experience?
Hi Gang, I'm newish to USPSA (1.5 yrs) and mainly shoot level 1 club matches. I will have an opportunity to shoot an IPSC match level 2. What are the biggest differences I need to be aware of? I'm already aware of not running outside vault lines, but what else? Your input greatly appreciated.
I used to shoot a bit of IDPA but have been out of the game for years. I went and checked out a local match and I am all in on getting involved. I see others online ask the question “what is the best gun”? Usually the answer is use what ya got. However the ONLY handgun I own is an FN Reflex micro 9mm. I would like to pick nothing up to be used for USPSA. Am very interested in the canik Rival S but my local gun shop says their distributors have no availability at the moment. They do have the Canik TTI combat in stock. My other choices available in store are a Glock 34 or 17, a M&P or a HK VP9. They have a handful of CZs too but I don’t think any were optics ready. Should I pick one of these up or order somthing different online?
I’m considering getting either a Cz shadow 2 or one of the new Springfield prodigy comps… shot a normal prodigy the other day and fell in love. What’s everyone recommend?
Or do we have to start all the way over (minimum of 4 classifiers in new division)? There’s not been an explicitly clear answer to this for me during my search.
Feels like starting in a division that’s easier to score in, like CO vs Open, would display a misrepresentation of your skill set if you get an A rank in CO but then switch over and barely scratch a B rank in Open because of the ridiculous standards. I’m sure they thought of this when you move higher than anything above a Level 1 match, and you’d need to prove your ranking for the current division.
Anyways, any advice would help in this. Cheers 🍻
I used to shoot IDPA about a decade ago. Moved across the country and the only game near me is USPSA, so I'm hoping to join them.
Are there any good YouTube channels that do a good intro to USPSA? I remember The Power Factor Show did a good overview of rules, but that channel hasn't been updated in MANY years.
I plan to use a Glock 19.4, that was some 'special edition' that came from the factory with an AmeriGlo sights. At one point I switch the mag release to (I think) a Vickers mag release. What division would this put me in? Would adding a Magpul magwell affect that?
Would using a Safariland ALS belt holster (with a QLS plate) be acceptable?
Do I need to stick to 15rd Glock magazines, or can I use Glock 17 or 19X magazines? How many magazines will I need?
So I've been looking into it and I'm super interested in going to these sort of competitions but I just don't know where to start. I found a club near me but Idk anything about rules, equipment needed and such. Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏.

I’m curious to know if there’s any grandmaster’s out there that have made GM only shooting from concealment 😂 that’d be dope
Did my fourth USPSA match this past Tuesday, and it had two classifiers. So, from what I understand (recently just re-read the rules), it takes a bare minimum of four classifiers to get a ranking, and your ranking is based off of your best four scores from your most recent six classifiers.
What’s the process now though? Do I get something from PractiScore or USPSA that gives me an official class rank? If so, about how long does it take to get updated in the system? Thanks a bunch guys/gals.
Looking to start competing in USPSA.... something I'm confused about - most of the matches in my area (Philly) -the clubs don't seem to list what divisions they are hosting. (I looked farther away, and this seems to be the norm too).
do clubs have every division in their matches? how would I know which one to go for? (I'm only looking for either Limited or Production).
Hi! I've only shot a couple matches. Does remembering the stage plan just come from experience and practice, or are there specific things - say during dry fire - that one can do to improve this. For example, I was thinking of setting up sample stages and practicing memorizing my stage plan on those.
Any advice would be appreciated.
We are having an all classifier match here soon and they are asking for suggestions for the classifiers, what would you guys suggest?
