I think this awesome table is kept out until close of business.
DM me, let's set it up. I'm usually around on Wednesday or Thursday.
The dorm wall shelving collapsed and smashed my iPad (it would've fallen on me if I was sitting at my desk). Will Penn pay for damages?
Just looking to hear experience from any people who have completed the program and what your outcome was.
I’m considering applying here as one of my reaches for Biomedical Engineering. If anyone is in the major, or goes to the school of engineering, do tell me how it is!!!
I've just recently arrived to Philly and looking to do some form of martial art, either boxing or MMA. I live around west philly, near UPenn, and was looking for any recommendations. I'm a student at UPenn and relaize that there's some uni clubs but they just weren't what I was looking for. Even though I'm a beginner, I want an atmosphere where I can dedicate myself. If you do know of a club that you think might be good though, please say so.
Hi, I'm both a student at UPenn and a content creator who's videos mainly focus around talking to and getting to know people who'd like to share their story. Could be a garbageman, a professor, a athlete. I think you get the gist, if you have anyone in mind please let them reach out.
Can anyone provide examples of what grade constitutes an A in previous years or if you know a friend with experience? Was an A a 93, 86, 92, 95? I know it differs depending on class but I just want to get a feel of what it was like in the past, thanks!
I was wondering what is the typical course progression for EE majors to take in their freshman & sophomore year. for context, im taking MATH 1410 this semester. I already have AP credit for PHYS 0150 and PHYS 0151. I will also be likely taking MATH 2400 next semester (unless I test out of it).
any thoughts on taking them over the summer? I'm pretty good at math and want to take other classes in the semester. was wondering if the classes would be online or in-person.
Does anyone know where to apply regarding on-campus jobs? I have applied to many random positions (such as libraries, dental school, research labs) but have either gotten ghosted or interviewed then suddenly rejected after being ghosted. How did you get your on-campus job? I am an international student so I wanted to apply for SSN and be more financially independent while building my time management skills but it's so hard to get an on-campus job ☹️.
Title sums it up, basically I’ve been to state college a couple of times and let’s just say as a Pitt student, and I’m not trying to demean anyone here, the academic environment did not seem nearly as serious as at our prestigious institution. Like your literally a state school with a higher acceptance rate than us. Less than half of the applicants who apply to Pitt are able to study here, thats no small feat. But if you google Penn acceptance rates, you find different numbers are over the place, specifically between the Philadelphia satellite campus and the more prestigious state college campus. If Penn was really part of the Ivy League sport’s tradition, did they simply fail to keep up with other Ivys academically over time? It seems like the only thing floating this place nowadays is Elon Musk being an alum, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s just footing the bill out of nostalgia.
Hello! I want to consider Penn as my college choice. However, there are some factors that I have to weigh to in, so can anyone give me an insight on these questions? -What is the social life like in Penn? Is it dangerous? Productive? Competitive? -Is there a lot of workload? Homework? -Are there many unique extra-curriculars, especially those that are related to journalism, education advocacy, politics? -Is it hard to secure a research? Also, what are the ongoing research projects? -This will be a little bit specific but is there any activies related to the War in Vietnam/ the Secret War? And lastly, is it true that there is an apparent hierarchy between CAS students and Wharton students?
Is it worth anything to do WUDAC 201 if I already got WAF? Don’t really want to commit the time if I won’t get much out if it
I'm currently taking a course that is registered under several departments (Comp Lit/ French/African Studies).
How can I assure it gets on my transcript as "Comp Lit"? I think I registered under "French".
Looking for the number of international students by home country (Wharton undergraduate) but the latest data I can find is a touch dated from 2018 and also a wider set for U Penn total undergrad and grad combined.
Could anyone help me fill the gaps by home country for Wharton undergraduate students?
Anyone play or know pickup soccer around here?
Surprised a “mobile store on a bus” idea won for the second year in a row. Bad look for the event imo. What do you think?
Why doesn't Penn do the flu clinic at the start of the semester instead of halfway through? Like literally everyone is sick rn like last year.
Edit: Yeah, realised my symptoms are more aligned with covid
If can, where?
I'm a freshman looking to add a 0.5 CU course this semester. I came across MGMT 2120 with Professor Assenova. Class seemed interesting, I was wondering if the class was easy or hard and if the professor graded easy or hard?
here are my three cis160 recitations so far:
class 1 - late 20 mins class 2 - on time class 3 - missed
if i lock in and go to the rest of the classes will i be fine or nah cuz im worried
I can just have the page keep refreshing in the background and alert me when the attendance questions pop up. I'm genuinely struggling in the class and feel like the professor doesn't teach well at all. I feel like I would benefit from reading through the material on my own. Will they know if I cheat the attendance (I'm still on the schools wifi)?
Quick question from a prospective student. How many hours of week does Upenn CS take including class, homework, and studying? Essentially how many hours of school work do you have and how much free time do you have?
Looking for a team. Cs student

Hello,
I am currently working on an academic genealogy tree for some electrical engineers. I am trying to identify the PhD advisor of John Grist Brainerd, who earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from UPenn in 1929.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Grist_Brainerd
I am neither able to find his PhD thesis online nor the name of his PhD advisor. Looking at his publications on IEEE Xplore, he was the sole author of his papers before 1935. These papers do not have any acknowledgement from which I could decipher the name of his advisor.
Is there another way to determine who his PhD advisor might have been? Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.
