Hello, I’m currently a first year undergraduate student studying Computer Engineering in a Turkish university. I want to also pursue an associates or possibly a second bachelors while I’m studying Computer Engineering but I plan on doing it in an online university (UoPeople). However, im not sure what would be the best option, an associate degree in computer science or in business?
Also an associate degree is easier than a bachelors right? And I can pursue a bachelors in 2 years if I have an associate degree I believe.
Hello there,
I'm expecting to get 80s or late 70s for my exams. If I submit my marks to unis that accept 80 or over marks, what ratio of submitted to accepted, can I expect?
Also, do universities that accept such marks, have the most difficult course? Does the type of uni I go to impact my future greatly? I am lost. Please help me. 🌞
Hello, so I have gotten two offer letters from Deakin University and Monash University, unfortunately, my grade wasn't the best and I have a mandatory foundation year. However, I was concerned about the tuition fees and extra expenses thus making me want to do NCUK foundation locally (Here in Dubai in an Australian university called the University of Wollongong), and then depending on my grades, I could try and gain admission from my chosen degree in Australia or US or UK (And hopefully get a scholarship, provided I'm locked in). I just want some opinions on this idea since I don't really want my parents to spend that much on my education.
I have a masters degree in electrical engineering with 5 years of experience. Recently, I started to explore the possibility of pursuing a degree in anthropology. I wanted to reach out to others who have had a similar experience changing to completely unrelated fields. What are the challenges? What level would I have to start at: bachelor's or masters? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.
Hi guys I’m gonna make this quick. What was your guys’s university experience like? I’ve just started uni and so far so good would love to hear other people’s experiences :)
Hey everyone! I've been finding that there’s so much to study in college, and it’s easy to get distracted, especially when prepping for exams. So it’s really important to study and review efficiently. I’ve tried using Anki, but making my own flashcards became a bit annoying. Eventually, I ended up creating my tool called rememberquick.com . This little tool reads lecture notes, finds key content, and automatically turns it into multiple-choice questions. After using it for a while, I’ve noticed my study efficiency improve a lot! What do you guys use to improve your study efficiency? Do you guys have any other good software or study methods you'd recommend?
I’ve reached out to a few different people of the above and heard nothing back, is this something that people do or have a just been unlucky?
Thanks.
I aspire to be a dentist ever since I can think back or at least a doctor, not because of money or status or fame but because of genuinely wanting to help others I would do it free, as long as my basics were covered I would do it free. I have grown up in one of the most deprived areas in the midlands, I suffered a lot in secondary school defending myself against racism and being socially outcast into a small community of close friends, this gave me anxiety for years without me knowing until recently (age 23 diagnosed 3 months ago) I waited for GCSE and the day before it I suffered major head trauma which cost me all my GCSEs. I did gcse at age 19 and got literally crap I think a 6 in physics 5 4 then 3 in maths English and science, I did A level bio Chen psychology and got C AA respectively, being burnt out I needed a break (age 21) with trauma recovery stress depression anxiety and family deaths. I also was surrounded in a super toxic environment of dealers, thieves and other kinds of people. I decided to go to University of Huddersfield for a Science Extended Degree leading into a Bsc Hons for pharmacy. My ex whom I really really loved now the opposite always made me feel super crap, ‘’fix up do something with your life nothing happened to you bad things happen to everyone, no one cares ‘’ as if I didn’t tell them things to myself everyday. I’m just feeling super super down it’s getting to a point where do I think is there even any point waking up everyday? If you get what I mean. I just need correct guidance but I can’t seem to find it anywhere all I’m told is it’s life get on with it your old I’ve genuinely had enough to the point where it’s either end it or jail, what do I do to pursue my dream? I’m financially £0 due to not being able to fully work due to injury I worked for minimum wage but I had to pay toward house bills and stuff. So I’m practically screwed at every angle. In regards to my course I’ve just started and I feel 60% of my stress is gone as I’m working toward something. But I just want to be my dream. I don’t want anything else. please help.
idk if this is a dumb question, i’m in my third year of biomedical sciences and i’m exploring what i want to do after. don’t know if i want to get a job or continue school. no one has yet to explain to me what a masters degree is? how do you apply? what do you need? i have the option to do an honours thesis at the end of my bachelors. can i get into graduate school without it and just do regular research in my fourth year? can i work and then do a masters. i just need someone to dumb it down for me please and thank you
I am really struggling with physically typing out essays but can talk for days. Has anyone here used voice-to-text tech to "talk" out essays (or part of) instead of typing them out? Thanks in advance
So like it's to late for me to change my GCSE option but I have 2 questions that my teachers and Google isn't giving me a 100% answer. So I picked Imedia and engineering, could I see be an architect with those GCSEs? And also is it better to go to college first then University or do you have to go to College to enter university?
My branch has few to very little girls. Our classes just started only. I have no problem talking straight to girls. But i don't want to be creepy approaching them. How do i start a conversation???.
Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I heard this recently and didn't believe it. When I did a Google search I couldn't find an answer to my question. Is this true or false?
I’m think about doing uni in Australia but I scrapped fast school bad at most thing other than I’m fast at basic math I was think about doing accounting but not sure if it’s good idea as I stuggle to focus and have bad memory any ideas
So. Here’s the issue. I went to a state tech school for 2 years. I was told that I could transfer to APSU (TN) when I graduated. Was told most of my credits would transfer over and all I had to do was do my general Ed classes for a acociates. I graduated in 2023 and took a year off. Reapplied and was told no ( BTW I applied to ETSU and was accepted with full transfer just don’t want to go to Johnson city because that’s almost 7 hours away). Side note they DENIED me (APSU) and had to go through an appeal. Issues I have:
So… WHY won’t the school who is under the same governing body as the tech school NOT accept at least most of it? Remember ETSU is governed by its own body NOT the state of TN like APSU. Austin peay is making me not want to continue and is forcing me to either go to BACK to CC or go to ETSU online (still don’t want to bc I would still have to travel there for something 🤷) and also explain how TCat isn’t accredited by the state of Tennessee? Please anyone got advice?
Hi, considering moving into a share house closer to the university I’m currently studying.
It will help if I get some part time work but wondering if it’s actually worth it? A semester will last for about 15 or so weeks, and it will take at least a couple to get a job going, so ultimately I’d only have a job for about 13 or so weeks before I’d have to move back home.
I’d probably have to quit the job being 2+ hours away from it, and it is kind of a pain to do the whole process over again next semester.
Do people that support themselves via work just live near campus all year round? Or does everyone just rely on student loans and parents to do proper student accommodation?
Thnx :)
Hi everyone, I want to know which of these universities is safer, and which has better engineering programs?
Hi everyone, I would like to get some informations about this organizer. I submitted my paper's abstract to a conference organized by this organizer (International Conference on Aircraft Engineering and Flight Systems (researchleagues.com))and they sent me the acceptance letter after two days saying that I can pay the registration fee to attend the conference and send the full paper through the organizer's email. I am a bit worried about this organizer, so if anyone have ever applied to a conference through this organizer, please let me know if this is fake/scam or not.
