Without a record label or significant following, it can be rough for independent artists to gain momentum in such a massive market for music. Our goal is to give new, good music a bit of a chance in such a huge domain.

Feel free to discuss, suggest, link, tell, share, about your favorite artists that you don't think many people have heard of. Local bands, MySpace bands, the kids in the garage down the street, anything.
Guidelines:
- FORMAT: Artist - Song Title [Genre] Comments
- Don't spam us with your own band. It is fine to post it but please don't do something similar to "I've been working on this for years", "Reddit, I've never shared this before" or so on.
- Unheard Of (UHO) stuff only. We do not want to be /r/listentothis2, we want to be /r/listentothisstuffthatnevermadeit
- UHO doesn't necessarily mean new. Score a bonus for UHO artists with years-long obscure careers!
- No covers of popular songs - the artist being unknown does not make the song unknown, not the intention of this sub
- Your story makes it interesting. Leave a first comment to tell others how you found this artist, and why you like them.
- If it's sort of heard of try out /r/listentothis and if it is very heard try /r/music
