Had a tub of GT, these two grew much faster than the rest of the pins. Wet weight is about 16g so planned to take these tonight. However a friend of a friend wanted to warn me that the first flush, if they grow faster than the rest, they’re toxic to consume and really bad? This is the first I’ve ever heard of this but wanted to double check as this is my first time growing.

If they are safe to eat, how many grams of wet mushrooms would you suggest for a first trip. Many thanks :)

I currently have three jars of brown rice that are about 60-70% colonized, but unfortunately the spawn is also very hydrated, making the final stretch very slow.

I have plans to make more spawn jars & experiment using different methods of colonization, but I’d rather not order a whole new syringe to do it. I currently have a few jars of LC solution growing right now, but I’d rather not touch them until the wisps turn into clouds.

Options?

I inoculated my uncle bens bags 9 days ago with liquid spore solution, so far i see no mycelium growth… i cant find an answer for how long it typically takes from inoculation until the bags are ready, can anyone give me some info 👍

First time grower trying to do this the best way possible. I didn’t wanna use ready rice cause I heard it’s harder to tell if it’s ready or not. Would I still need an SAB if I bought this or can I just tuck it away in a regular tote after injection?

What can I do? Can I harvest and put them in the fridge? Or shall I leave them ‘till Tuesday? This is my second flush, so it wouldn’t be the end of the world if the cake was out of commission. Also, the pins in top right are they likely to get any bigger?

Is this contamination? I only have it on this bag as of right now. The rest are very healthy and white in the window.

I have no holes in this tub and the lids aren't exact snap tight. This closet is always closed with the light off.
