UK garage (also known as UKG or simply garage) is a genre of electronic dance music originating from the United Kingdom in the mid-1990s. UK garage is a descendant of house music which originated in Chicago and New York US by African Americans. UK garage usually features a distinctive syncopated 4-4 percussive rhythm with 'shuffling' hi-hats and beat-skipping kick drums. Garage tracks also commonly feature 'chopped up' and time-shifted or pitch-shifted vocal samples complementing the underlying rhythmic structure. UK garage was largely subsumed into other styles of music and production in the mid-2000s, notably within hip-hop and urban music. It also spawned multiple off-shoots including Grime, Dubstep and Bassline.

Producers - anyone interested in collabing?
I’m working on Ableton Live 11 Suite, and typically make speed garage/UKG and house (minimal & deep, and some piano house too).
For what it’s worth, got a handful of releases on labels, so not a beginner (4y producing). Would like to make something that we could either send to labels or self release!
I have a method for working together and sending files that’s usually pretty efficient, and I’m also busy af working on my PhD so I wouldnt expect us to try to rush things at all!
Feel free to reply to this & PM me if interested! I can also share some of my tunes if you’re interested so we can see if we’re a good match stylistically.

It just recently dropped I think it was ukg style. It’s an old man in a tracksuit dancing and smoking a spliff. Kinda same vibe as Bicep Glue with the words on the screen.
