I've been writing fanfiction and advertised starting a tagging list for the content that I write. Someone asked to be placed on the taglist for future posts, but whenever I go to add them, their account doesnt come up. Any help on how to solve this?

ive been editing a blog today and it looks good while im editing it BUT when I open my blog on my laptop or phone the colours look completely different

wondering if anyones having this issue and knows a soultion?

What it says on the title. Example: if account 1 makes a post, and account 2 reblogs it, how do I get to account 1's post from account 2's reblog.

it’s on my main and my side blog, I don’t know what’s going on. I type the comment, I post it, it doesn’t show up, but the comment number ticks up as if my comment is there. but when I refresh or back out, the number goes back down, and the comment still isn’t there. does anyone know how to fix this?

hi so i’m quite new to tumblr, and somebody had reblogged my work adding a kind comment to it and since i’m new to tumblr, i don’t understand the etiquette and what i’m supposed to do. i want them to know that i’ve seen and appreciate it so do i comment? but also how? when i click onto it, it just takes me to my own posts comments and reblogs section. so if i comment, wouldn’t it just comment under my own post since it takes me to my own comment + reblog section where it shows how much i have on each?

i feel rude ignoring but i’m not sure what to be doing, any help would be appreciated pls :)

If I scroll through the archive I can find the post, however, searching for a text post by the words in it doesn’t bring it up. I am searching it on my own blog - any idea what’s going on?

This has been going on for sometime now. My mobile app refuses to load pretty much anything with the exception of my blogs and likes. No dashboards, no functional search page, nothing. Just the little loading circle spinning forever.

Everything loads in just fine on desktop and even on the Firefox app on my phone, but the app just really doesn't want to happen.

Any ideas?

It’s 2024 and the app (iOS) does not allow viewing mature blogs’ archives – not even your own! – without using the in-app browser (can’t “log in”) or a web browser.

Why? At the very least why can’t I view my own, protected archive? Why isn’t this a top level button? This seems crazy to me.

my crazy stalker ex from 5 years ago found my tumblr and sent me an ask. he's also found my letterboxd and my flickr before. i've had this tumblr for years and i really don't want to start over. i've already blocked him but if I change my name will he be able to find me still?

I've tried logging out and back in again, still won't let me. it won't even let me save a draft. it just gives me this error message. any advice?

Which version of the app after v27.8.0.109 did they fix the polls in? Polls don't display correctly for me, they're stuck at loading until I go to the original copy of the post on OP's blog. I don't want to update the app to the latest version because I don't want any of the changes they added after the polls.

There’s a blog that hasn’t been used in ten years, which contains photos of me. I want to use the DMCA form to get the blog taken down or at the very least every single post on it removed. What do I need to do to have the best chance of success? This stress of this blog existing is making me physically unwell …

I don’t have any social media anymore so can’t “prove” the images were taken from my social media. Is it enough to explain that they were?

Is it the case that just filing several of these reports is enough? Or do they need hard evidence of where the images were originally from?

Since I've had a couple of true crime blogs, I usually get mass reported and terminated for "glorifying perpetrators" even though my posts are typically archival and don't really glorify anything. My last blog was taken down after one day even though I don't remember really making any true crime posts. Somebody had told me to just make a sideblog so if it gets terminated I won't lose absolutely everything. If I make a sideblog on the same account and it gets terminated, will my entire account be deleted, or just that one blog?

My account was deleted for no reason , it was like 4 years old . After that i created like a new account a month ago . And today it was banned after i tried to reblog something ( i am not reblog , i am always saving pics to computer ) . And now each time i creating tumblr acc , with email or iphone apple , after i like , follow or reblog i get insta banned . What is that ? How to fix ??

I'm currently using the most recent update for the app and I'm unable to make posts with images. I can post text posts and reblog, but when I try to post images it doesn't work. The loading bar for posting doesn't even pop up, it doesn't give me a connection error, they just don't post.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it hasn't changed anything. I just want to be able to post my art again :(

I keep having an issue with some of my posts getting wiped without warning. I've checked my flagged posts, and nothing shows up, they are just completely gone. I submitted a report to tumblr and have yet to hear back. They were my pinned posts, and ever since making my new blog, 2 out of the 3 pinned intro posts that ive made have been wiped. I had the post open in a new tab and was able to use that one to copy link, but opening that link shows a deleted post message. I mean, both have had fictional gore from horror movies in them (like from Saw, etc), so I dont get what the problem is because they are fictional? And even if there was a problem with that, wouldn't my post have been flagged not randomly just wiped without warning? I know this sounds a little silly, but im getting kinda paranoid about this, is there a way to check that, if lets say this is a way of Tumblr taking down my posts, that my account could be closer to getting banned? is there a way to check if I am close to getting banned?

So I used to use tumblr for years. Back when the great ban of 2018 happened, it basically crushed my blog. Not all or even HALF of my content I posted or reblogged was NSFW but my blog like many others was flagged as explicit. This resulted in removal of my pfp and banner as well as zero reach in others discovering me or following me.

Fast forward now almost 6 years later, I know that some policies and content have changed, such as mature content being allowed but so long as it’s not p*rnographic in nature, is there a way I can get my blog flag removed? If that requires me going back and removing any/all offending content I can and will but I just want to know if that will suffice before I do it.

I miss using it as a personal blog and I really don’t want to have to start over given I have many old friends and followers on there already and starting over feels massive

I'm late in asking this, but my drafts from some time ago has a lot of posts that are removed from the content ban. Are these just best to clear out of drafts or remove from the blog since they no longer show?

When a blog has -deactivated followed by the deactivation date, has the blog owner deactivated the account or has tumblr done it for a tos breach?

First off, I use the app. I can still see my "for you" tab and my tags tab. I can see that people have interacted with my blogs (likes and reblogs). But if I see that someone commented on one of my posts and I click to read the rest of the comment it will not load. My following dash will not load, none of my blogs (main and 4 side blogs) load. I cannot click on other blogs even via notes, mutuals or random. It doesn't even make it look like it's loading. It has been like this for about a week or so. What happened?

I’ve enabled replies on my account and all of the reply buttons look like this for me, even mutuals who I know have them on as well. Does anyone know how to fix this?

For context I deleted my Tumblr at the beginning of the month due to a lot of interpersonal drama. Today I forgot that I did and went to a link to my account I shared in a Discord server trying to find some old art I did.
But the link said "This post is gone, gone, gone, but there's more, more, more on (name's) Tumblr." (Not posting the username because it now has some really, really fucked up posts on it.) I realized it had a new tagline, so I went to it and was met with a bunch of posts pretending to be me, saying reprehensible stuff like "transgender isn't real" and "I'm Mavis and I like little boys!!!" or something like that. Furthermore, scrolling down revealed that they reblogged from even more accounts also impersonating me under other all my other usernames I have.

Unfortunately since I deleted my Tumblr and they took my URL to impersonate me, I can't report them. Is there a way I can email Tumblr directly about this?
