Hello, Tumblr keeps suspending my blogs without any reason and notification. It's the sixth time this thing happening to me and I can't figure out what I possibly did wrong. It happens unexpecdetly when I'm trying to edit blog's looks or when I just left it away for some time. One time I lost my blog adter logging up my account on new device. One time two of my blogs were nuked simultaneously after I tried to edit my main blog. Even more, all of those blogs were completely empty. I've posted literally NOTHING on them aside from two or less text posts. It always leaves three of my blogs untouched. Furthermore, I can't even create a new one using url of the deactivated one. I don't know how to avoid it and how to return my taken blogs back. I need to create a space for my personal art but Tumblr just simply won't let me :(

Are there any solutions?

I want to get rid of as many x Reader style posts as possible. There is no standard tagging for this. So one character can have 6-7 variations of an x Reader tag. I've been slowly adding them all to my filtered tags but is there a quicker option?

i remember seeing a post on tumblr about an english professor who went to a covention and felt out of place bc all the ppl there were very nerdy abt the specific subject of the convention and so he brought something up that was taboo in the community by accident while trying to jump into the conversation, and it sparked a huge debate. wondering if this rings any bells and if anyone could link me to the post if so. thanks!

It says that I follow 6 blogs but it only shows me 5. Is that a glitch? Or did one blog get deactivated/blocked me?

Gday all , Im stuck and need help

Cleaned up my website by deleting alot of stuff and I want to upload the updated sitemap.xml file for google indexing. I did this before via Cpanel but that hosting service is no longer.. Is there a way I can edit or change the xml file in tumblr settings?? is there a CPanel type option with tumblr blogs? I can see the old sitemap file in google search console but have no idea how to update it. Do I even need to do this ?

Probably a stupid question but. I can't find a solid yes or no anywhere and I just need to know (If you don't know but have a really big number of side blogs let me know so that I can see how far is safe!)

For context, a bit ago I posted some say gex on my second account, so Tumblr was understandably not happy with me. I deleted those posts, but none of my posts were showing up in the tags. Luckily, I had enough followers in a specific fandom that it practically didn’t matter. In fact, I didn’t even notice the difference until I got into a new one. That’s when I started panicking.

So, I made a third account from scratch. New email and everything. I reblogged my stuff for the new fandom from my second blog, and started posting, but it kept happening. Nothing I post is showing up in the tags, not even the fandom tag, even with the new account. I have no idea what it could be at this point. I already tried looking it up, but the results I got were about character tags, not tags in general, so that was useless. Any idea what the issue could be?

I tried to update my email address on my Tumblr account, but I forgot that the new email I wanted to use is already associated with a different Tumblr account. Now, I can't access the account I was trying to update the email for.

I've opened up a ticket, but I'm worried that they won't reply anytime soon. I just want to get into my shiny new tumblr account. :(

Is there anyway around this at all? I feel like there isn't lol, it's just stuck in some limbo.

I’ve tried deleting the app, reinstalling it, logging out, opening it up in a browser, but nothing’s helping. It’s been doing this for a while and I don’t remember when the last time a post has loaded for me. I don’t think it’s my wifi connection either, because it used to work on my phone before. This is so frustrating and I just want it to be fixed. I'd appreciate any and all help!

I've gotten this error message every time I tried to submit to another blog for a few months now. I've tried updating the app and signing out and back in, but none of it has fixed this. What do I do?

I can’t click on them. If I do I’m redirected either to my original post or to their blog. I tried searching my username but that didn’t work. For all I know these posts don’t exist and they’re just a mirage to haunt me.

Say you filter a tag, then someone reblogged a post with the tag you blocked, but the reblogger didn’t add the tag in their reblog, would you still see the reblog if only the original poster had the tag?

So I muted a few people by accident I have no idea how to undo it or even where the muted users are. How can I unmute people on both mobile and desktop?

Edit: I meant to say that I accidentally muted one of my mutuals in the notification from her and I don't know how to undo it.

what it says on the tin, a creator i love is posting things about a project inside a community i am in, however when i try to find the other posts under the tag they use for the project, i get sent out to the normal tumblr tag and find NONE of the posts they have made inside the community.

is there any way to make this easier or am i fucked and will have to just have to click the next button until i see their posts?.

Is there a way to change the next post button (currently J) to something else? the j position isn't very comfy..

I can't remember if that's exactly what it said but it would direct you to the last post you saw... did tumblr remove it?

So I've been messaged by a deactivated account and it will not let me delete the message, block the account or even turn off the notification. I've tried contacting support but they haven't given me any help at all. Can somebody please help me with this? I'm about ready to cry.

I have no idea what’s happened. I jumped up 1000 followers out of the blue and when I go to investigate it’s all spam or empty blogs. My statistics isn’t even registering them. I checked with someone I knew was real who followed me before this and confirmed it’s only been 2 weeks. Do I report them all? Block them all????? Wtf do I do????

Made an account about a month ago give or take, and about a week after I made it I left a comment on a post like normal, nothing was weird about it and it just worked. Every time I've tried after that though? It always just gives me a generic error message. The only thing I did between those times was change my pfp.

Is there any way to directly talk to a tumblr support member? i swear ive sent so many tickets, and ive gotten nothing back. and i keep seeing people with the same issue, of disappearing side blogs, which is a huge fucking bug.

Hey all - I was big into Tumblr back in 2008-2013ish but basically haven't used it since then. I've seen others successfully be able to recover old accounts on here, but it seems like quite the back-and-forth battle. I'm prepared to start that battle but not sure if I even can if my old site link is redirecting to an error page, so wanted to check here first.

I haven't tried yet but I'm pretty sure I can get access to the old email I used for that account. But again, want to see if I even have hope despite the error page.

Sometimes I'll want to search a moderately specific/niche tag in Tumblr, but even after [A] clicking the tag from someone else's post I happened to find in search, or [B] manually typing in the URL "/tagged/thing," myself, it redirects back to "/search/thing." (And just before it does, I can see it briefly load the tag, and I've glimpsed a post or two that Definitely Do Exist and are just being hidden from me.) I've even gone incognito to see if I could do it that way. I also have redirects disabled on Firefox, so I'm not sure how it's able to bypass that. I honestly do not mind if there is only one other post on the entire website with that specific tag--I would prefer to see it over being redirected away from something (presumably) just because it doesn't get enough traffic. Basically, I dislike it when technology wants to act smart and do things for me 😅 Thank you for your time.

I have some followers thats sent me a couple submissions and they wont pop up or show up. Inbox shows 6 messages but when i click on it it reads No messages found.

Most social media limit the reach of posts with external links to avoid spam, but what about internal ones that just link to a page on tumblr? Does tumblr have an algorithm I can read up on? If so, where?

Hello, so i just created a new sideblog and was editing the layout, when i refreshed and noticed it was totally gone? this happened a few days ago now. i emailed support twice and got no help, is this a common issue? i literally hadnt posted on it at all... I tried just remaking it, but the URL is still taken meaning the blog must still exist somehow? not even like it got reported and taken down its like it got poofed. I also have another sideblog thats totally fine, if that helps.

I'm making a really long post that would benefit greatly from a table of contents at the start that can be used to navigate to different sections of the same post, and I want to know if it'd be possible. I can't find anything when searching it up online, but I apologize if I just missed the answer somewhere! I know I could make each section into a different post and have one extra post that's a table of contents, but that'd be a lot more annoying to navigate and I want everything together for convenience if possible. Is this something that can be done? If so, how? Thank you!
