I have a blackstar HT club 50 and I need to replace my tubes, I have never done this before and I was wondering if I should use the stock tubes from blackstar or if there are better tubes I should get. Does anyone have any input?
Sorry if this is not the right subreddit for this. I will delete the post if it is not. My wife has an old TV from the late 60's or early 70's that uses vacuum tubes. See pics here: https://imgur.com/a/VPHHIYd . Almost all of the tubes light up when it is plugged in but the picture tube does not show anything. Does anyone know of any kind of old technology clubs or groups near Kansas City that would have any use for something like this? Should I just try to sell the tubes on ebay? How would I test to see which are good? I hate to just junk it if there is someone that could make use of it or the parts.
Just got a pair mullard m8100’s in the mail, put them in my little dot mk II and one of the tubes has horrible static, if I switch the tubes the static follows to the other side. Does this mean that the tube is dead or is it fixable?
