/r/TrollXFitness
This is not a serious fitness sub. This is a place to complain when fitness sucks and to figure out how to make it suck less, even when runner's high is an obvious fiction.
Some people get really into exercise. Others just want to get through it. We're a part of that second group.
Got a gripe about your new exercise regimen? A funny story about the time sticking to your diet made you want to cry? A question or suggestion about how to stick with eating right and exercising while embracing that you totally hate both? This is the subreddit for you!
Posts looking for a pal to hate exercising with are welcome, but please, no identifying info! Anything more specific than City and State should be taken to PMs.

I’m doing leg day if that matters. Google states that sport bras will give me support but theres not much boobage to support in the first place :/
So I've been marketed at and I'm a sucker.
Instagram keeps showing me various fitness/ weightloss/ yoga programs which purport to be tailored to one's needs & goals. After giving their webpage all this info it offers a special price for a week/ month or 3 month subscription.
Unfortunately it's all a bit rich for my blood this side of payday so I've never pulled the trigger.
I'm aware that what's offered is unlikely to be high quality nor actually well tailored, but I like the idea of "completing" a very specific program, especially having the incentive of having paid for it, and trying something new (wall pilates, somatic yoga, whatever).
Has anyone any experience of anything like this they can recommend or otherwise?
Hi! I am 4'11" and have really short legs. I attempted to measure my inseam based on a chart I found on a manufacture's website, and I keep getting 24" - which is also the size of wheel on my street bike.
I'm working on overall fitness, and I think a stationary/spin bike would be a good investment for me going into the winter. I'm SUPER out of shape and have some medical conditions to consider, but my doctors have always recommended low impact exercises like biking and swimming. Swimming is out right now thanks to covid.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a stationary bike that is adjustable enough that it would work for me as a very short person? the shortest i've seen is 26" - and it doesn't seem like there is a store near by that has reasonably priced bikes. (I can only afford to spend $400.)
I've also been considering getting a stationary trainer for my outside bike. My dad had one growing up because he's an avid mountain biker, but i'm worried that it wont be terribly comfortable, and that will lead to me not using it. But at least with that, I know that I will be able to comfortably reach the pedals.
TIA
I don’t know whether this is the right place to say this but I’ll say it anyway. I was using a pinch block and dropped a 30 lb weight on my toes with only light shoes on. There is a little bit of pain on the edges of my toes but I can put weight on them fine and it isn’t that painful (like a 2 on the pain scale, 3 with weight on it), as well as a tiny bit of swelling. Did I break my foot?
##Hey! I created a sub called /r/gainsis where women can post pictures of their gains in a group that is more strictly muscle-focused; it's growing and seems to be filling it's little niche really nicely! A lot of people there have suggested "advertising" on other fitness subs again (I did it once in a couple of places about a month ago), so here we go!
###/r/gainsis is a private subreddit I did this so that everyone can feel a little more comfortable posting pictures of their gains with less threat of creeps or trolls. So far, it's working well and the inappropriate comments have been few and far between.
###What does a private sub mean? This means that you will have to message the mods to get an invitation. It's an extra step but it has been working really well!
###Instructions:
Just send a message to me or to the mods with the following information:
We look forward to having you! <3
ETA: I've made the sub private as there were some concerns (my own as well as subscribers) about posting pictures to a public forum. We're currently doing a 40 day fitness challenge and would be happy to have more people play along!
It's called /r/gainsis and I got the idea when I stumbled across /r/brogress. Seemed like a cool place but it's all dudes, thought it would be awesome to create a similar space for women!
Anyone who is female or identifies as such is welcome to come hang out. The goal is for it to be inclusive, positive, and shame-free.
Still in baby sub phase and I'm new at modding so I'm open to suggestions!
P.S. got permission to post this here from the /r/trollxfitness mods :)
Does this exist ? I don’t need a trainer, just someone to come get me and bring me there.
I'm 39, in Denmark, female, married with a kid and in full time employment. I want to stick to working out, push myself more in the gym. And I want to tackle my comfort eating and possibly lose maybe 10 kg. Slowly is fine. BUT I cannot seem to get consistent, even though I'm usually quite a disciplined person. I need some help!
I would love to find some like minded trolls to have daily or weekly check ins with, sharing tips and tricks, progress and set backs, ideas and learnings. Maybe a WhatsApp group? Would anyone be interested? Does this already exist and I can join?
A new round is about to start at /r/90DaysGoal, and we would love for you to come join us!
What 90days is and what it isn’t
/r/90daysgoal is a community that is all about self-improvement and support. Whether you want to change a lot or a little, gain muscle or lose weight, learn skills or break habits, or work on things that aren't necessarily related to fitness (school, work, hobbies, friendships/family/relationships), everyone is welcome! More than anything else, this group will provide you with a place to talk to other people about health, fitness, and general self-improvement in a completely open and friendly environment. The support of others going through similar struggles is one of the things that makes 90DG so special: this is a group of people working together to better themselves.
Goals
Our goal is to help you tackle big things, one day at a time. While it’s tempting to want to change many things at once, there's always a lot on our plates. If we bite off more than we can chew, it can be easy to be overwhelmed and give up. But, when you break a big goal down into small goals that you can check off daily or weekly, it doesn’t seem so intimidating.
So, what do you want to accomplish in the next 90 days?
What’s the format?
Every day the mods post a Daily Goal thread where you can post your goals for the day, ask questions, or read through other people’s updates. There's a weekly check-in thread every Monday and several themed posts throughout the week to keep us all on track. At the end of every 30 days, we take a few days off to set new goals for the next 30 days and then dive back in.
If you'd like to join us for the next round, stop by and tell us about yourself and your goals in the official introduction thread. Round 26 will officially begin on Monday April 23! On Day 1 there will be a sign-up form to fill out so that we can keep track of group statistics.
TL;DR: If you’re interested in changing or growing with us, subscribe to /r/90daysgoal. Day 1 is April 23 and the final day will be July 31. There will be informational posts throughout the first couple weeks to get everyone started toward their goals. We'll have a progress/recovery week at the end of each month. Feel free to look at the recent daily goal threads and last round’s introduction thread if you’d like an idea of what to expect. Feel free to ask any and all questions here!
