Just a small part of an animatic I'm working on. Though it'll probably take a while to finish the entire thing
Wolfwood makes it to the collection!
Just a small fandub i did of Ep 12 Spoilers incase those who haven't seen it uet
I was looking on Pinterest for a Wolfwood panel I could use for a custom clothing piece I have planned for someone to do for me on a commission someday in the near future, and I could really use some help finding the English version of this panel but for some reason, Google has been of very little help even with Lens and I don't feel like going through the manga, especially when I'm not familiar with the mangas at all, and with it being a bit confusing for me at this moment, I'm just not really to find it yet.
If anyone could be a dear to give me the details for where this panel can be found in which of the mangas or even be as so kind as to give me the English panel themselves, that would be phenomenal. I'm sorry if I'm being dense, I am very smooth brained and I'm just a filthy casual (albeit very passionate) fan of the '98 series and hope to do what I can to show that as an otaku, input of any sort is appreciated for this, although it's of any consolation I will be getting the mangas physically sometime very soon and read that. Please and thank you.
Recently had this done and I’d thought I’d share!!!
I picked this beauty up on eBay recently! This lighter is unbelievably elusive, it hasn't entered the market in over 10 years as far as I could find. There was only two instances of sale on Worthpoint from the last ~17 years of archive eBay sales, and those two were from around when it was first released in 2007. The seller had started the auction at $30, I quickly made them a offer for $80 not long after the listing went up and they accepted. The auction probably would have climbed into the low hundreds, so I think I got quite lucky! The lighter is brand new, still has the sticker seal on the back. There is copyright text on the back as well, though I didn't think to picture it.
This is one of only two officially licensed Trigun lighters produced and sold within the US. It was sold by Dark Horse Comics online store for an original retail of $29.99 in 2007. The merch was short-lived and seemingly low production, as all the items they sold on their store are very elusive (still missing the damn Wolfwood long-sleeve). As it turns out the eBay seller who sold this to me actually works at Dark Horses retail department. Makes me wonder, if the only person who listed one for sale after all the time was an actual employee of the company the lighter must be even rarer than I anticipated! Wonder just how many copies are in circulation.
With this I now own 6 out of the 7 Trigun lighters! I own all 5 of the Japanese release lighters, the only one I'm missing is an incredibly obscure flip lighter sold by Hot Topics in the early 2000's. If you own a copy of that Hot Topic flip lighter produced by Great Eastern Entertainment, or know someone who does, give me a DM. I will pay up for it to finish my collection!
Archived photo of the last lighter I'm missing:
the amount of people who like guilty gear AND trigun honestly surprised me really good
i feel like "geneon" (the guys who did hellsing ultimate) would be perfect for the brutality of maximum and yasuhiro sharp stylish artstyle and his "let the art do the talking" way of panelling and handling fight scenes.
I know this is how it is in the manga, but maybe something exists out there.
I'm about to start an embroidery piece of this panel, and I always try to have whole images so that nothing looks awkward/chopped off in the hoops.
I've searched high and low, and nothing but fanart has popped up (and I don't replicate fanart)
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE 🤠
Or would you even want to see a live-action adaptation?
First time posting on here! I recently found these pins but I don’t know where to buy them online.
i know it's because of the overuse of his supernatural powers but why exactly did a large portion of his hair turn black when wolfwood died?
i know! boring question, but i'm a little unsure on what to do.
i've recently just finished trigun (1998) and although people give it a lot of slack, i think it's genuinely one of my favourite animes. i think the way it's set-up and the questions it raises throughout the texts are one of the most interestingly written relative to other animes.
anyways, i was wondering if i should continue on trigun by either reading the manga (which i realise ends differently than trigun '98) or by watching trigun stampede. it feels nerdy, but i really want to 'maximise' my experience because i think the trigun universe is working up to be one of my favourites. ive read a little on this subreddit (im really careful not to get spoilers, so if this question has been asked please direct me towards it) and ive heard that trigun stampede is really fast-paced and so spoils a little of the building up the manga does? if that makes sense.
anyways I was wondering which trajectory to enter into. i don't really want to be spoiled that much for the manga, but if it makes little to no difference i'm very in to watching trigun stampede. i was wondering how canon-compliant trigun stampede is? and would it be ruinous to read the manga before watching it?
Hi y'all, please be kind especially if I say something goofy as I'm new to this franchise!
I watched the Trigun Stampede (2023) and loved it. Loved the animation, action sequences, sound design, voice acting. I did find some parts of confusing, but nothing deal-breakerish.
I was surprised that Vash >!was a plant,!< but the revelation fit seamlessly. From the opening scene, I understood the trope of the humanoid alien with powers or super human speed, agility and durability but as soon as it was revealed that >!his species was plant and he was connected to the energy of another dimension!<, I was like "Ah, that makes sense!" He has this ethereal, otherworldly vibe and eccentric habits that made him seem perpetually out of place.
I was a bit confused about what Vash's power is. I know it's probably different in the manga or 1998 anime. >!My understanding is that he is much more connected to the plant dimension than his brother is. His brother has a much more destructive power, but he is more confined in a way. On the other hand, Vash can intuitively control his flow of energy between the two dimensions. That's why his brother needed him to open the portal. Being more connected to the other dimension and being able to tap into its power from afar gives Vash the ability to heal and soothe plants, in a way that Knives can't. In a manner of speaking, Vash is the embodiment of being connected with Mother Nature.!<
Although Knives is a terrifying, homicidal villain, I like the way they humanised him and helped us to understand the reasons for his actions so he didn't just come off as one-dimensional and crazy.
Some sequences and the close calls were a thing of beauty. I liked the scene where Vash was able to take down the bullet shower bomb with one bullet and a handful of rocks by using the power of ricochets.
Anyway, those are just some of my thoughts.
Edit: This fandom is so nice!
A Punisher progress shot! They fit together near perfect😩 I'm so happy. I had to cut new parts like ten times because I kept screwing them up, but FINALLY, I got it. I just gotta figure out an inner support system and make the sides
Someone give this plant some water
In what order do i read the manga is it normal TRIGUN and then TRIGUN maximum or is there a different order? Also how many copies of each version are there? cheers :)
I've searched literally everywhere and considering it plays constantly in the original series during important emotional parts, I can't believe it isn't easier to find.
It's the very waily tune that first shows up in Ep 8 when Vash is explaining his morals of not taking a life to the kid aboard the train...it later plays again in the penultimate episode when Meryl stands up for Vash against the townspeople and also defends the value of human life.
The song has a jumpy bongo beat with a waily guitar tune to it. Anyone know what I'm talkin' about? Feel like Depressed Vash rn that I can't find it for the life of me.
