I am a pre M2f. I want to do a boudoir shoot. The idea to me is unfathomable. Has any ladies done them pre hrt and post hrt? Thoughts about doing it. Any advice really? I feel like it would be a cool thing to aee the changes. Hope everyone has a great eclipse day!
Im broke and dont have many clothes and summer has always been torture as it is but recently i rapidly gained weight and basically non of my clothes fit unless they look unflattering and make me look bigger and homeless (trying to be polite because i dont want anyone taking me the wrong way)
But i sweat alot and dont want to be the hot mess who looks frazzled and ready to collapse any minute, ive always looked like that but since gaining weight its made things worse. Im going out for the first time in almost three years to see a movie at a showroom and want to look decently presentable but not overdressed. I dont have the time or money to get new clothes so i was hoping to get some ideas and maybe just fish whatever i can find out of my wardrobe.
My brother is overweight and knows how to dress well for his weight and body but ive not been this big before and no idea what to do, especially for my ftm body
I just hit a milestone of 3 years since I first discovered my fem side, and while the journey started as curiosity, it went on to be an escape, and now its at a point where I identify as a woman.
I started off very slow obviously and the clothes I wore didn't really make sense together. They were almost childish in terms of what I was choosing and overall very stereotypically "girly" from what my AMAB programmed brain understood.
Now however my fem closet is FAR more extensive than my male closet. I've not shopped for new male clothing in over a year. In public I'm still masculine as I live in the Middle East, but the fem wardrobe is absolutely stacked!
I found some old clothes I bought when starting out, and I cringed at my choices. I think as I grew in my gender identity journey, my sense of fashion aligned more with my age (Thankfully) and the way that I perceive myself. I'm not saying that if someone is rocking ths overly pink aesthetic that they are wrong. It's just I started dressing more inclined with my personality. I'm a simple person who prefers a more chic and sophisticated look, but will solely comfy clothes at home. And I think I started to shop thay way eventually.
I went from being someone who desperately fought to be someone else and therefore dressed the polar opposite to my pre-egg crack personality, to realising that despite all the dysphoria and the wishes of being born a woman, all the experiences I've had cannot be replaced. No one has or will ever live my life, and to deny that is silly.
It's not escapism driven curiosity anymore, its who I am at my core. I'm a grown ass woman! I think that realisation matured me as a person and funnily enough my wardrobe matured with it.
I've seen a pattern with majority of trans women who didn't know from a young age that their negative thoughts and pain came from dysphoria. For most of them, expirementing with crossdressing was the first big realisation moment, an I'm no different.
That first look at myself in the mirror dressed en femme is something I'll never forget; the euphoria of actually seeing myself for the first time. That moment when I reviewed the pictures I took and the shock I felt. Firstly because I voluntarily took pictures of myself (used to be a VERY rare thing), but also something as simple as seeing myself really and truly smile, comfortably and naturally in a picture (something I'd never done before).
Fashion was the first step for me, and it has continued to be such a huge part of my journey. So I wanted to take time to appreciate how much value it has brought to my life.
I don't know when or how I'll be able to my way to a country where I can transition socially, medically and legally, but atleast my wardrobe is ready for it! š
Hello folks! I'm doing some shopping and have had trouble finding transfemme-fitted thigh highs which aren't blue, pink, and white. Those are super cute, but what I'm looking for is a set of white thigh highs with a red stripe (or a few) near the top. I'll gladly take any input, from recommended sites to specific items or anything people think will be useful. Thanks! :)
Hey ladies.... I'm taking my 27 yo daughter for her FIRST PAIR of women's shoes! She's going to be a 43, I think.... what are your favorite brands for cute sandals?
For personal reasons I dont feel like I can come out to anyone atm which means Im stuck with mostly guys clothes for a while.
Im looking for suggestions on stuff that can be worn under guys clothes without being noticed but still feels good to wear .
iām looking to buy my first pair of āmenās jeansā finally but i cannot for the life of me figure out what my size is. iām pretty small, but i know there are cis guys out there who are small too so it canāt be impossible, right?
iām interested in leviās so i looked up their size chart for menās and started measuring myself with tape. what i found with the measuring tape was that i should be around a 30 inch waist. i measured so many times and made it as straight as possible and with all the different angles it came out to that every single time.
but whatās confusing isā¦ i definitely still fit into a size 26 in womenās jeans. according to the size chart that should be too small, but i have a size 26 in my closet right now and it fits. so iām wondering if i either did the measuring wrong, or do womenās jeans actually fit that much differently that the waist size number could be so different?
the smallest size i actually found in menās on the website is a 28 so i am considering just buying it and returning it if it doesnāt fit. but it also might be a waste of time since nowhere in my measuring did i come out to 28. iām just so frustrated that it has to be this confusing :(
I have not sense of fashion. I barely ever wear dresses because I'm constantly afraid of showing or my legs looking bad because of eczema or just looking odd in my body. I don't know what to get and I'm running out of time and nobody in my life wants to help me. It's like they just want me to fail on my own. Somebody please give me some advice I'm super overwhelmed
Hey, very small but classic piece of advice for women putting outfits together...loose on top with tight bottoms; tight on top with loose bottoms.... For example, skinny jeans with loose-fit tee or blouse, fitted tank/blouse with wider-leg pants or flowy pieces. :)
Also, if you ever wonder why something just doesn't go together when it seems like it should....check the fabric. Try to keep fabric types, (weave, content, finish (shiny or flat)) the same for both.... jeans are an exception; they really are a 'goes with everything' (though they're not PERFECT with everything, like some assume, lol)
Hey fellas
I keep getting ads for a clothing company with clothes made for trans guys. What makes clothes "trans guy friendly"? Is there more space for the hips? Shorter sleeves? What could you do to a pattern / item of clothing to make them look more masc/ fit better on a body with big hips and chest? I also know a lot of clothing patterns aren't made for plus sized bodies what alterations make it more fitting / flattering for plus sized bodies too.
I'm not very good at sewing but I'm trying to get into it.
Hear me out: I'm so sick of my broad shoulders busting out of women's tshirts, and me being 6'2" most of them are too short for me anyway. If I order "tall" sizes the shoulders still don't fit right. Can "men's" "muscle T-shirts" double for women's shirts in the right outfit?
I've already seen some body changes on HRT. I just want something that fits my size and is still slim-fitting and flattering. It's tempting to just bite the bullet and buy a "men's" size in something I can repurpose for my use. And if someone has an alternative solution I'm open to it as well.
Hello, figured I'd share my podcast in here for those who may be interested to take a listen. We've covered 3 episodes so far with more planned.
Does anyone have good recommendations for a brand or independent store where I can get knee high platform boots similar to Demonia that go up to a size 12 menās?
I got a bright orange fleece cropped streetwear jacket and i was wondering if yall had some recommendations on the kinda fits that could go with it, its rough cuz my lower stomach is definitely an area of dysphoria so cropped stuff is hard for me.
I've gotten so much more comfortable with my body but one of my biggest insecurities is my butt and hips. I've got pretty big boobs but my butt hasn't really grown much so I'm built like a P. I usually trend towards goth/alt clothes and it hasn't really been a big issue in the winter because I usually wore bloomers under a skirt or dress to give the impression of a more feminine shape.
That said, I've gotten really dysphoric trying on shorts a couple of times because I feel like they look really unflattering on me. I feel like it's giving hoochie daddy. Any suggestions for shorts that look better with a flat butt/no hips or any other suggestions for what to wear in summer? I'd rather not just wear skirts the entire time.
Hi there. I've been on feminizing hormones almost a year and getting nice results, but still have the wretched beer belly (but with more fat curves on my lower flank) and I have no idea how to dress fashionably for my body type. I know there are places like Torrid, but my fat belly does not fill out in a typical female pattern. Any suggestions, please?
i need like an āultimate wig tutorialā. i have a piece that i wear, itās pretty nice, but i feel like i donāt know what im doing with it. it never looks quite ārightā. itās too puffy on the top of the head, it seems and idk i feel like itās a good enough piece to work if i just knew what i was doing more.
can anyone recommend how i can become a wig expert?
Hey ladies, Iām looking for good brands that sell feminine shorts for the summer.
For reference, I work as a summer camp counselor and am commonly working outdoors for between 6-10 hours a day in the peak of summer in temps ranging from 80-110 degrees, and for medical reasons I canāt tuck.
I need something that offers coverage while also being breathable. I like Patagoniaās baggy shorts but those run $70 a pair which is just crazy. Any ideas?

Hey...mom of a fresh MtF daughter, 27, here...I've built a gigantic closet, spent thousands, and it took years. I get huge pleasure and self-contentment from knowing I'm wearing really good pieces, and now I get to share this love of clothing with my daughter...who, unfortunately, doesn't have a lot of $$.
If you're in this feed, trust me, you'll feel better about your Fem look if you collect stuff that's above criticism and makes you feel great. My best advice for building this wardrobe: Go to your upscale mall and find a few really good brands you love, try them on to find your size and style, then look for them on Ebay. USE SELLERS THAT ACCEPT RETURNS. This is key.
Once you try "premium denim" you'll never go back. For example, I love Mother Jeans and Frame, Rag and Bone (all MADE IN THE US)! but they can be upwards of $250-$350 a pair. I know my size and the styles that suit me, so I can get them on Ebay for a fraction of that, sometimes as low as $30.
Free People? Adorable stuff, many NB styles, free shipping, free returns. I carefully try on several pieces at home, return them to my local store (where I usually buy a little something), Then save a search on the resale sites. Nearly everything I've every wanted has eventually appeared for a bargain, not to mention the thousands of things I couldn't have found at the mall.
Be respectful when trying stuff on and you'll always be welcome in shops. (If any shop gives you grief, alert their corporate office...if they don't care about you, SHOP ELSEWHERE. You're the customer, you have power.)
One more thing, especially to you younglings....Take Care of Your Clothes and They Will Take Care of You.
Hi, as Summer starts approaching I want to start going to the beach and swim but im not sure where to find good fem swimwear and what type to get. Im pre-everything
I'm a trans guy in my mid 20s, a lil over 1 year on T, and am in need of some brands or styles that fit well for guys with wider hips. Pre-T to present, I've always worn high-waisted pants and realized that the cut and fit of my pants, shorts, etc. read more fem than I'd like. I wear a size 18/20 in women's pants and have struggled finding men's shorts that fit well and also look good. I don't want/need anything hyper-masculine, just more androgynous than pants that highlight my waist. Any recs for brands, websites or styles that fit well for guys with wide hips? Or any tips for restyling/reworking high-waisted pants to be more masculine?
Also, if possible, I'd prefer something online with a try-before-you-buy type system or an easy return policy in case they don't work out. Thank you!
I wanted to share some advice I've used to help me dress better and also look more feminine. This is all just advice that I've accumulated
Take it slow, I've learned that feminizing one's wardrobe takes time and more importantly feeling comfortable that you will wear the clothing you are buying often, it's important when shopping to prioritize pieces of clothing that you can wear with a multitude of styles and are limited not too heavily on function.
Useless clothing are just not worth it, even if a piece of clothing looks adorable, ask yourself will this work with my body? This is very important with underwear because some feminine styles just do not work with AMAB bodies such as thong, cheekies, or g-strings. Edit: The best simple way to check if an underwear is going to work is by checking how wide the front area is, less wide typically means more issues with holding things in place.
Balance is key, any good outfit should not have multiple bright colors or strong, try instead to pick 1 main color that defines an outfit with maybe 2 or 3 other more muted colors to balance it all out.
Diversity is needed! A good outfit should have some amount of variety when it comes to aesthetics but its important that it's balanced and not overwhelming
Layers made a huge difference. An outfit with just a shirt and a skirt looks fine but the addition of maybe an underlayer long sleeve or of some thigh highs really can visually break up an outfit.
Accessorize! No good outfit is done without accessories of some kind, again accessories really add visual depth to an outfit. I recommend hats, jewelry, varied pantyhoses etc
If you have any other recommendations for basic guidelines around outfits, I would love to hear them!
iām a pre-T trans guy in my twenties and i constantly run into the issue of clothes simply looking too feminine on me no matter what i do. my preferred style is a cross of street and alt. and so itās not so much that the clothes themselves are super fem, but i feel like thereās some disconnect with how i wear them, or something, that makes me look more like a girl wearing gender neutral clothes than just, like a boy wearing boy clothes
as i mentioned i am not on T. iām pretty short and unfortunately very skinny. and i think thatās where my issue lies. i definitely donāt want any attention drawn to my feminine features. if i could fake broad shoulders that would be rad.
i donāt know if thereās any tips out there for like, cuts or styles i should be focusing on to help masculinize my body? i mean things like how to tuck or not tuck a shirt, where to place a hat on my head, what logos or brands scream āmanā etc because whatever iām doing now clearly isnāt working
Iām still on a uni girl budget lmao but I had a really bad haircut last year and Iām still trying to recover cos thereās no way I can pass with my current hair
Hi! So, I'm trans (mtf) and I was thinking about going shopping for some gender affirming clothing later today, so, I was wondering if anyone had any advice? I'm planning on getting maybe some feminine sweaters/hoodies, pants, shirts, and/or maybe some underwear (I don't think I'm ready for dresses just yet!) but I'm new to this so I'm not really sure what I'm doing. Sorry for the open endedness of this post but any advice is greatly appreciated! Colors that go together, outfits, how to pick the right size, what looks good, etc. would all be very useful! Thank you! šš
A couple of weeks ago I bought a pack of underwear from Amazon that I really adore and I wanted to know if anybody knows of similar ones. Linked here
I'm trying to make a list of DIY (do it yourself) methods to make homemade breast forms for people that are just beginning or that don't have a lot of money.
