Decided it was time to mod my box by adding these LED lights. Pretty happy with how it turned out.
Sadly GearWrench tool box came apart after a few uses. I am sure it could be put back together but I rather look for better quality. Any recommendations? It also has a wrench set. Thanks!
Gday all, Ive recently swapped my Ute tray and installed 2 steel 1400mmx800mm toolboxes on the back. I want to set them up neatly and have dividers, shelves etc and I’m planning on using 12mm marine ply sheets. My main question is on how I should fix the initial ply sheets along the internal walls of toolboxes to minimise chances of leaks, rust and so on. Any ideas or examples of your own?
Thanks legends !
it’s completely missing the whole mechanism!
My Harbor Freight 5 Drawer Cart. Still a work in progress.
Looking for ideas to enhance my tool box to give me more space for storage, what would you guys to do get more use out of it
My drawers are full 😂
Purchased some mounted magnets from amazon. The doors are double walled so just drill tapped and used flathead machine screws.
My own (shitty) version of the power drawer in my Husky 72in box. Cheap mountable power strip off Amazon, some wire loom so the cable can’t get pinched, cut, etc, and a couple of holes and boom.
Not the prettiest and I don’t have a proper sized grommet for the pass through in the drawer, hence the electrical tape, sooner or later I’ll get one.
Why even do this? 2 reasons.
Reason #1 I want my toolbox to be a self sustaining unit, no having chargers in different parts of the shop (the way my shop works im constantly moving my box around job to job, so I don’t really have a set “station”). I have a long extension cord and I really only need it plugged in at the end of the day to charge my batteries and flashlights. (RIP streamlight switchblade getting warrantied at the moment).
Reason #2 being so I can lock EVERYTHING away when I’m gone. (Not that I don’t trust my coworkers we all let each other borrow tools) but gives me piece of mind when I’m gone for the weekend.
Not the prettiest like I said but I figured I’d share it here.
I recently bought an old 41x40x18 inch tool box that can use a paint job and a couple of modifications.
Few questions:
Any other suggestions and tips are welcomed.
I ordered this toolbox and I would love to make the trim on it purple but I’m just curious what products you guys would use to do it as I haven’t found any trim kits online for this specific cart.
I have some gooseneck flatbeds that work in the oilfield. It would be handy to have a dedicated set of tools that ride with each trailer. The box under the tongue is usually filled with ratchet straps / have limited space.
I was thinking I’ve seen Weatheguard Pack Rats “under mounted”, as in “hanging” under vehicles.
But looking around online, I’m not seeing anything from Weatherguard on this.
Can the “guts” of these things be temporarily removed, to allow bolting from inside the top of the box, up into the bottom of the bed of the trailer?
Anyone one know where I can buys some drawers and slides? Make/model doesn't matter just need parts
I just bought this box and am trying to get out the drawers. I tried to slide in a hacksaw blade to release the catches, but I think that is too thick. The little gray piece is a bit of rubber. I have looked at a lot of you tube video's and haven't had any success - help!!
Put an end cab on my S2 USG roll cart. It’s pretty nice, helps with organization
I’m looking for a 42” box that has drawers deep enough to use as my dresser in my bedroom. OST of the 9 drawer options have multiple 3-4” drawers that don’t really facilitate this. Does anyone know of a box that would work? I’ve looked through HF HD and Lowes options and the 34” option from harbor freight is as close as I can find to what I want. Any advice would be appreciated.
Got a Cornwell XL Power Cart a few months back and have been trying to brainstorm ideas on doing so. I originally thought I might try to get a mini pc and mount to the inside of the power drawer and somehow attach a monitor to the bottom of the lid but there isn’t any clearance to mount on a wall where it won’t move and won’t get hit by the drawer when being pulled out and pushed in. Any suggestions on what else could be done?
Along with the magnets I also took out the hinge pins that lock all the drawers when the lid is closed.
