In Dec. 2016, a group of gifmakers from /r/HighQualityGifs decided to hold a collaborative competition made up of teams of gifmakers. Each team consisted of 3 members who had to work together to create one gif per round for up to 3 rounds. The top half of each round advanced until a head to head matchup in the 3rd and final round to determine the champion.
For TeamGifBattles 1, /u/slowface, /u/mikeythedinosaur and I, all drafted to the same team. Almost from the beginning we decided we wanted to do something no one had ever done before by attempting to make a 3 part coherent story using each round to tell one part. This would require us to advance in each round to the final and, as luck would have it, once we arrived at the final we won the first TeamGifBattles. It was probably some of the hardest work I'd ever done at the time.
We each contributed our time, energy and effort to the endeavor. I always meant to release the entire 3 part arc as one post but honestly, after the stress of participating in, and running the tournament, it completely slipped my mind. So here it is.
#USTeamname's TeamGifBattles Saga.

Part II: Where there's a Will, there's a... whoa that was weird
