Bread sticks when toasting

Bernville air fryer. When i make toast with plain white bread, it sticks to the wire rack. What do y’all do to prevent that?

Fastest toaster oven/air fryer

Hello everyone, my family just got an Emeril Lagasse French door air fryer 360. It looks very nice and the French doors are a nice touch however it takes 4:00 to make 1 slice of toast. What is regarded as the fastest toaster oven/ air fryer combo.

Appliance downsizing dilemma

My new stove has a double oven, and one of the ovens has an air fryer setting. Should I keep or downsize my toaster oven? (Also recently given to me)

Need a toaster oven that can take a 14" pizza---and is available in the UK

I'm looking for a toaster/tabletop oven that is big enough to cook a 14 inch pizza. I looked at the Oster Extra Large, which I read could take an 16" pizza, but couldn't find one in the UK.

Any recommendations for the best toaster enough to cook a large pizza that I can actually buy in the UK?

Plastic smell inside Breville Mini toaster oven

Hi! I have a 3 year old Breville toaster oven.

Whenever I bake something, there’s a really bad smell coming out of it: almost like plastic burning smell. I already empty and clean the trays and the inside.

This smells started a couple of years ago, when I tried to clean the inside of the toaster oven with some baking soda and oven cleaner.

Now the smell makes me scared of using it.

Should I be worried? Do I need to toss it because maybe the nonstick coating on the inside is damaged?

Why does our toaster oven not heat up?

So our toaster oven (DeLonghi 6 Slice Convection Toaster Oven with Rotisserie) only occasionally works now. Sometimes if we close the door hard or move it around a bit it will work but usually it doesn’t anymore. It turns on but doesn’t get hot - does anyone know what’s wrong?

We have opened it up, and only thing we can see is this element seems a bit worn.

Toaster Oven Baking Tray Recommendations

Ideally, I would like the tray to be 9" x 11", and if possible, 2" deep. I know the deeper pans will be fewer and farther between so I can be flexible on that but it would be ideal.

My major concern is that when I read reviews of toaster oven baking trays around that size on Amazon, for example, they either have reviews claiming they "warp around 400 degrees" or the item lists a maximum baking temperature of 445 degrees. I have a few things I make that bake at 450, and I occasionally like to use the broil function on my Cuisinart toaster oven, which I believe is a standard 500 degrees. So I now am in a predicament and can't seem to find a good tray that size able to withstand 500 degree oven heat.

Can anyone offer any suggestions in those parameters?

All I want is a good quality, small sized toaster oven to toast bread, bagels, English muffins and reheat day old pizza.

This is obviously too much to ask for since the reviews for all toaster ovens basically suck. I’ve had an amazing Cuisinart toaster oven for 17 years and it’s starting to have some problems so now I’m on the search for a replacement. It seems that all the new models from all manufacturers (esp. brands where quality products come to mind) in all price ranges have issues regarding fires, glass explosions, doors not opening and closing properly, shoddy materials especially the thin aluminum that surrounds the body of the product, LED issues, the lettering that surrounds the control knobs wearing off, and more! It almost appears that all toaster ovens today come out of the same factories. So what is one to do? Any suggestions?

Never cooked a pizza in a toaster oven before (advice?)

Despite my toaster oven advertising "fits a 12 inch pizza", it will not fit a whole round pizza pan. If it was a thinner crust like a Red Baron, I'd be ok with putting it directly on the rack. But I've seen some scary looking pics of pizzas oozing down through the racks. So with a thicker, more doughy pizza like DiGiorno or Freschetta, I'd rather not take the risk. I'm thinking about taking the pizza cutter and cutting one of the rising crust pizzas in half while it's raw, and putting that half in the little baking pan. If that's even feasible. Wondering how/if I should adjust the cooking times. And should the middle rack be ok or should I move it to the bottom (it has 3 racks). This is a 6-slice, I guess medium size model toaster oven.

Need help with Breville toaster oven overtoasting cornbread

First time user: Breville toaster oven w convection feature. Made corn muffins but the underside was crispier than usual. Not in a good way. Any advice about how to avoid over cooking the underside? I used the same muffin tins that I used in my old oven, but the results were different.TIA

Setting graphics on toaster oven deteriorating

I’ve had a great Cuisinart toaster oven for 15+ years. The lettering and number graphics for the settings have become sensitive to touch and are deteriorating. I can’t even wipe it gently with a damp cloth or it will smear it away. In searching for a replacement online, I’ve read a number of comments by people who have experienced this with their new toaster ovens. Even new Breville ovens are experiencing this. Does anyone else have this problem? I hate to fork out $179 for a new toaster oven to experience this again.

Disable ticking?

My beloved Black and Decker toaster oven of many decades has finally gone to the big countertop in the sky (with a bang-- big electrical arc and all). I bought a replacement but it ticks-- it seems like every single new model does. I hate this. Is there any way to disable it? Barring that, can anyone reccomend a model that DOESN'T tick (or ding) It's like having a bomb on the my counter, NOT conductive to early morning breakfast zen. I just can't imagine who dreamed this up and thought it was a must-have feature. Any help appreciated.

Toaster Oven Advice

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to get my very first toaster oven but through my search I have come to find that some of the ones I have thought were very promising are either not easy to clean or the glass explodes. So now I’m beginning my search again and was wondering if anyone in this community had any suggestions for good toaster ovens that are easy to clean and won’t have the glass exploding. I’m also mainly looking for one in which I will be able to cook lasagna or cupcakes or fries. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you :)

Zojirushi ET-CLZ30 Toaster Oven

I finally had it with my Breville BOV900BSS. Replaced it with this beauty.

Highlights:

- better toast

- 8 heating elements

- quiet

- microcomputer temperature control

- extra temperature sensor at the bottom of unit for safety and to prevent overheating

- PTFE, PFAS, and PFOAS free

Things I miss:

- Volume control. The Zoji is not annoyingly loud, but it would be nice to be able to change the volume or turn it off altogether, like the Breville.

- The easier user interface of the Breville due to the number of dedicated controls. The Zoji requires going through a series of button presses when you need to change settings.

Do noise-less toasters exist? (No bell or beep)

I'm looking for a toaster oven that doesn't ding or beep when the food is ready, or has a setting in which it can be switched off. I have extremely sensitive ears due to a medical condition, and I always have to leave the room when using my current Kitchen Aid toaster because the bell is too loud for me. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro exploding glass concern.

Hey! I just recently got a Breville smart oven air fryer pro and I’m debating returning it. It’s working fine so far and I bought it because of the great reviews , but I just discovered that there has been some issue with this model concerning the glass exploding. Has anyone experienced this? I have high anxiety as it is and I don’t want to have to worry about if today is the day my counter oven explodes 😭

My Breville Toaster Oven's fan has gotten very noisy. How to fix it?

Hi all,

Not sure if it's the right sub for an answer, but thought I'd give it a shot!

I have a wonderful Breville Toaster Oven that has a convection oven feature, which kicks in a fan on the side. The fan started to get noisy and now makes a bit of a grinding sound, which doesn't seem healthy for the product.

I saw an elaborate dismantling of the toaster on YT to fix this, but am hoping for a much less labor intensive solution, if possible.

Thanks!

Best Toaster Oven in 2022?

What is a toaster oven? A toaster oven is a small oven designed to fit in a small kitchen. But what is the best toaster oven? In general, the toaster ovens we use every day have the same shape, however, although the shape of each oven is somewhat similar, the ingredients are different. It can also be classified as the best toaster oven and poor toaster oven depending on the company and the material it makes. [read_more]
