This subreddit is designed as an outlet for amateur time lapse photographers. Filming time lapses, like any other form of photography, is all about trial and error... but each trial can take hours, days, or longer.
Creating fully produced time lapse videos that tell a story generally requires several different time lapse clips to be interesting, and that can be a daunting task for those just getting started.
This is a place for such time lapse aficionados to embrace the short-form time lapse. Compress your filming down to a few seconds to be watched in a loop, post it here, and let the world enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Does anyone know of an app that would take periodic video shots? Like a 1 second (or 5 seconds or however long, etc…) video every so often? Does this exist? I have a regular timelapse app that takes a photo every 30 seconds but wanted to know if there’s a way to get a very short video periodically filmed to make into a timelapse.
Edit: Maybe a better way to describe it is that I’d like to record video clips on intervals automatically. I was thinking it would work similar to a timelapse app so maybe someone where would know but possibly not.
