Best thrift to sell dollskill shoes?

Im looking to sell some pairs of dollskill shoes as I need the cash, along with maybe some docmarten boots & purses. What’s my best bet? Plato’s closet? Uptown? I know it depends on employees & location but what would be my best bet to get a decent price?

Would love some thrift community input from a survey for a thrift focused web extension for a college class. Thank you.

Here’s the link to the survey:

Resellers are scum vultures

So annoyed about how aggressive they are at the racks. Anytime a new rack gets rolled out, its gets swarmed. They just lurk around picking up anything they can make profit on, it’s disgusting tbh.

How can I get an original Sminem shirt

It's an unusual request, but does anyone know how I could get an original Sminem shirt? I know the shirt in itself is a bootleg, but i fw the original design heavy and the only results I'm getting online are crappy aliexpress prints on regular bleek t-shirts. The original is cut uniquely- it splits in the middle and features 2 holes to thread something through. The print of the original is also way nicer and bigger and has some kind of design on the shoulders and possibly back.

I'll be thankful for anything that helps me track down this shirt

Thrifted Grandma's 1949 Yearbook

I was back home for a week and went to an antique mall about 30 min from my hometown. While wandering around, I picked up a book that had no title on the spine. Flip it over and it's the yearbook from 1949 for my local high school. My grandma graduated that year and her photo was in it under Seniors. She passed away several years ago. Needless to say, I brought it home for $15.

Thrift Items That Haunt You - What's one of yours?

Have you been haunted by a thirfted find? And...nope, not like the haunting vintage piece you bought that has some demons or something attached to it. lol I'm talking about haunting in that you didn't buy it.

This past weekend I had my first meetup for my new like minded thrifty people Meetup.com/SecondLookAround group. And it was to attend Calgary's Largest Garage Sale. So one of those events you can't go back and get the item you left behind. :(

I saw this adorable flask? perfume bottle? (it was a screw top lid, and not a pump)...Who cares it was adorable and retro and I have not seen anything like it before. And only $8! But... I was trying to be frugal with my money, and I just got there. Thought, if I am still thinking about it later in my tour of this gigantic garage sale. But no, i didnt think about it. But, again... was now proud of myself for not buying much and spending the only $20 left in my account. I did spend $3 no a book. But ugh... I had taken a picture for my own memory. But still feeling the haunting of leaving this piece behind. Why?!

I live in a tiny home these days (literally a camper - vanlifer) that I cannot thrift furniture, or wall art or even most decor, because I have no where to put it, and I am always paying attention to how much weight I add to my house, as weight of my "vehicle" matters. So I created an instagram account for me to at least take pictures of items I see and have thoughts about, instagram.com/secondlookaround So I will savour this haunting piece on my instagram. But ugh... it was little, didn't take up much space, would have looked amazing in my vintage home. Couldn't cleaned it out well and used it even, like an oil or something. But alas, I did not purchase it.

Didn't help the lady selling it at first was like "its straight from the 70s"... she was speaking music to my ears with such language.

What is a piece that haunts you that you didn't pick up?
