Friday is your last opportunity to vote early in the election. Polls open at 7 am and close at 7 pm. As long as you are in line by 7 pm you will be able to vote. The county has brought out more voting machines to the early voting sites so lines are moving faster. The fastest place to vote in The Woodlands is the S. County Community center off lake robbins drive next to the pavilion as they have the most machines. Mitchell library is your other option, but they have fewer machines.

Looking for a (preferably 24 hour) gym that allows you to bring your kiddos. I used to go to a CrossFit gym where moms brought their babies in strollers or their older kids and watched them while they worked out, I’ve also been to a military base gym where there’s an enclosed area for you to put your kids so you can keep an eye on them while working out.

I know some gyms offer childcare but the hours don’t work with my work schedule so I need something different. Is there anything at all like this? I’ve asked my main gym if I could bring baby in a stroller and they said no for liability reasons which is totally understandable. Just hoping there’s somewhere where this is an option.

Has anyone protested their property tax amount and won?

I just received a letter from Montgomery County MUD, it even says “woodlands water” at the top right. It says 2024 tax statement and the amount owed before Feb 1 2025 is ~$500 which is lower than the property tax I was expecting. Is this actually a real thing that I have to pay this completely hidden extra tax on water utilities (l I already pay my water bill in full monthly), IN ADDITION TO property taxes? It says to pay online at texaspayments.com. It says 2024 tax statement. Why would a MUD or woodlands water be sending me a tax bill? I’ve never heard of something like this in my life. Is this real or a scam? Are electric and gas going to send me a tax bill next?

Have you installed one to dry out your yard? What do you think? How much did you pay? Who did you use?

Voted today (Monday) at 7:30AM at South County Community Center. There was no line and parking was a breeze. They have 50+ voting machines and only 10-15 at most were in use when I was there. There was a couple friendly republican ladies handing out voter guides in the parking lot and either way you vote they are useful.

Previous years we've been going to Whiskey River and loved it, but it is a little bit far away (for my European standards at least :D) and we're wondering if there are any closer options. We probably will be going on a Thursday night.
