Looking for some relaxing places to sit and read inside or out.
A place we like to go is the mall and the Adirondack chairs outside ShakeShack. Looking for something similar.
I (35F) saw someone post yesterday about where young 20-year-olds frequent! I was hoping to find something for a little bit older with people in their 30s to 40s instead, when they’re trying to get out and meet new people as a single person! See where people frequent and enjoy going that are more in that age range!
The story I am hearing is that 911 was called after the lady was stabbed by her husband. She later died at the hospital, yet this story has been buried.
Hello, 26m, looking for social activities. I’ve got the Woodlands run club, the sand volleyball meetup on Fridays, and volunteering at the Pavilion. I’ll probably also go to something like Painting with a Twist, or any sort of drawing class if y’all know of any.
I checked Facebook and MeetUp but I couldn’t find a tennis group outside of the one the township offers that does league style.
Haven’t had the best of luck choosing a quality residential plumbing contractor lately.
Have to replace an attic hot water heater soon, leaning towards Rheem based on research and recommendations from neighbors and friends. They recommend the brand, just struggled with reputable companies that would show up when committed and deliver on the agreed and proposed solution. Some needed a dual set-up for multiple floors.
Curious what the experience has been for others faced with the same circumstances.
Thank you in advance!
Specifically for a 3 year old. We're having trouble going to my place - Galindos - and having issues on both sides. Our son is currently nervous about the trimmers and is unfortunately quite ticklish for the final touches and i have to end up grabbing him firmly at certain point so he doesn't hurt himself and so the stylist can do his job. Are there any salons with stylists that are good with kids? I usually let my kid watch something on my phone so he focuses on the screen and that mostly works. But i wonder if there are any salons or stylists that are great at working with kids cause feels like we're definitely not getting our money's worth for the results we're getting. Thinking of just saying fck it and trying super cuts or something similar
Hello! My husband and I are considering moving from Fulshear to The Woodlands. However we are hesitant to buying an older home and have looked at nearby new build communities Evergreen and Artavia. Evergreen is 13 mins from Market Street. Are those neighborhoods still considered the woodlands? And what is the general opinion on that area? Thank you
Our hybrid schedule got taken away and the commute is just too much to go back to.
I've been working with storm water for about 4 years now mostly plan reviewing and a few other things but plan review has been the bulk of it.
Where can I look for a position that would offer hybrid telework in the area? Or at least near by, maybe spring, Tomball area
Lay it on me. Anything fun or interesting to do. 23M late college student coming off a long week of class. I wanna know the bar you frequent. The event you're checking out. The daiquiri/taqueria you're taking a crap at that your wife dragged you to. Don't care. Want to get out and have some fun.
I saw an article from 2018 about problems there. Just wondering if there’s a mass exodus now because of that. The prices look interesting. Anyone know what’s happening there?
We are getting a new puppy (10 weeks) on Monday. My wife is interested in a puppy socialization class. Can anyone in this community make a rec? Thank you!
I have a bunch of family coming into town and need suggestions of where to take 35ish people out. Not trying to have a fancy event but any good restaurants, places that can accommodate that many or even private rooms if it’s not breaking the bank. It will be mixed ages including a few kids so somewhat family friendly for dinner and possibly later end up somewhere with more emphasis on nightlife. I know Mexican restaurants are a good choice but we already have that booked for Saturday. What are some of your fav places to get a meal or drink for this big a crowd??
Looking for the above in The Woodlands area. Thanks!
I'm curious because I'm going to start butchering my own steaks and roasts but I wanna know where the best quality/best price stuff is.
Thank you for answers ahead of time if you see this! If any of you have tips on processing your own meat and big primal cuts please share ! It'll be my first time doing it.
Hi does anyone know of a good place I can sell a ring in the area?
Thinking about going to Buzzfest at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion but not sure if pit or front-row seats are worth the price. Never been to this venue—how’s the view/sound from further back?
If you’ve been: Is the pit experience worth it, or is it overcrowded? Are the seated sections decent, or do you end up watching the screens? Any general tips for this venue? 38, just trying to make the right call. Would appreciate any insight.
We are new to The Woodlands and I am looking for good places to walk our dog off leash.
I have been walking him through one of the green belts/drainage areas in our neighborhood but I never see anyone else out there.
Are you allowed to walk dogs off leash in these areas? Is it safe (e.g. any dangerous animals we should know about)?
Hey everyone, I just moved to the area and don’t really know many people. I’m looking to connect with the community and make new connections. Does anyone attend weekly book club or running group? If so I’d love more details! Thanks.
Not sure if allowed…selling a series x for 300$ with 2 controllers
New to the area and came across Cunae International School and Legacy Prep School. Does anyone have any experiences with either of these schools or know of their reputation? Thanks!
Hey! 24F here. Anyone know of any places/events a girl can meet new people? Trying to make friends outside of my fiance. lol. I'm really into reading, long walks/hiking/working out. Recently finished reading book 3 of Fourth Wing series.
Hello, I would like some recommendations that give good rates for currency exchange :)
Market St. could also be a great place to have occasional Farmers/Makers Markets if it were pedestrian only. Adjacent opinion: Valet as an industry is a cancer in The Woodlands
Hello, big Coogs hoops fan here! Are there any watch parties in the area? I know places like Kirby's and Sawyer's Park will have games on but I'm looking for groups of people who get together to watch Coogs games over a cold beer. I'm not an alum, just a fan. Bonus points for slightly older crowds (40s and 50s). Thank you! Eta: Been a Coogs fan for years, not because they just beat Kansas in their own house!
Currently with Xfinity Mobile which uses Verizon towers. It’s very obvious that our data service is de-prioritized/slowed when I high congestion areas like the Zoo or Concerts. Considering switching directly to Verizon or AT&T, who do you recommend
Edit: price isn’t it issue or motivation. Currently paying $70 month for 2 lines but very crappy service.
