Ray tracing in the witcher 3

My pc can handle the RT on witcher 3 pretty well imo. The highest fps i get is like 88 fps and lowest , weirdly not in densely populated towns but in random certain tiny parts of a forest , is like 60-55 fps. The avg i get is 77-70 fps. Those lows are still are playable framerates but idk.. For me, the RT is the most noticeable indoors, the lighting and the shadows look a lot more realistic with it on. Idc about the outside tho , the water looks acceptable to me too. With RT off , ultra plus settings , I am getting 120-140 fps.

This got me curious, how do you guys play witcher 3 ? With RT on or off ?

Haven't played Witcher 3 in a few Years and need advice on doing New game plus or just a fresh start

As title states, I've played through the Witcher 3 about 8 times with 6 being new game plus, I have the itch to play again but unsure if I should do New Game plus or go for a whole fresh start.

I know NG+ is probably the better option obviously with the things that carry over but I don't like having to grind up to massive levels for certain armour unlocks as if I done NG+ I would be thinking of discarding all armours and starting new but I like having the powerful Potions and Oils, some advise would be helpful

Game Keeps Crashing

As the title says the game keeps crashing. I've recently built a new rig

Specs : Ryzen 5 5600, RX6800,Gskill 2*16GB@3200mhz, Corsair CX750 bronze, MSI B550 mobo

And I've played around on the settings settings everything low to switching to DX11 but alas it still crashes randomly when playing. Is there a way to fix this?

I killed Morkvarg after asking him for my reward

Sorry, i’m french So i asked morkvarg, the bad guy who has been cursed by a pretress in skellig, and has been a hungry werewolf for like 10 years, after realising him from his curse. I wanted to kill him, but first i asked him for thé reward hé has promised me for releasing him for thé curse (sorry if it doesn’t mean anything). Then the dialogue was over and it seemed i couldn’t kill him anymore, but i attacked him anyway and a fight began. Finally, i killed him so he won’t do horrible thing again and I can have a reward. But after that i already heard some natives of skellig say something like « how could we be fishing with morkvarg back on the seas ? ». Is my game « fcked » like i let Morkvarg alive (even tho i know that there are ni réal conséquences about that, juste it s not what i wanted) ?

If you haven’t checked this game out I highly recommend it

The game reminds of The Witcher 3 in its lore and world map.

Its got a theme of witchcraft, occultism and the spiritual world.

Gameplay wise its a cross between The Witcher 3 and God of War.

Im currently playing it and cant recommend it enough.

As I continue to play it I cant but think of the Witcher 3 (one of my all time fave’s)

Strange occurrence recording Witcher 3 with OBS

so i had an issue regarding the Witcher 3 while recording a short video with OBS studio, and i'm not sure if OBS is responsible or the game. i recorded some test footage and the little cinematic recap cutscene played, but i had no audio. it was the one where Geralt was looking for Ciri in Crookback Bog after the part with the crones, so my theory is maybe OBS or my game settings detects copyrighted sound/the game window being recorded and muted it while i'm recording. the audio was totally normal when i skipped the cinematic and got into the game proper. is there any explanation for this strange audio cut?

also please be patient with me, i'm very tech illiterate and hate going on reddit for problems but there's not a lot of good, specific problems with answers anywhere else. i am playing on Steam and my pc is a Starforge Voyager 2 Pro, i don't know the specs or even how to find my PCs specs so if they show it on the website maybe that will let you know.

Can't play gwent with dijkstra

I started the deadly plot quest before playing gwent with dijkstra. Now I'm locked out of speaking to him. Will I get a chance to play him at gwent again? Is there another way to finish the gwent quest at this point? It hasn't failed yet.

Any tips for beginners

Just to let you know what I mean, of course I understand games such as Witcher are heavily dependent on personal play style and how you build your character.

So I guess what I mean by any tips is early in the game, should I be on the look out for certain things, items, side quests etc that are timed meaning if I miss them, they are gone?

Second, collecting things that will come in handy or leveling up a certain trait that will come in handy early doors.

Third, I get a bit obsessive sometimes and waste a bunch of time looking around early in the game to find hidden items, and sometimes games don’t allow full exploration until a certain point into the main story. Is there such a point in this game?

Thank you, any and all advise is welcomed

BIA optional mods

As a first time mod-user for W3, I'm having trouble figuring out how to install the add-ons mods for BIA (which on its own is very easy to manage). I want to install the LOD bundle and the extended dialogue add-on, but the Nexus page doesn't have any instructions on how to go about it. BIA is the only mod I'm interested in using at the moment, so I'd really appreciate any help on working this out. Thanks!

I've looked at the mod installation FAQ but can't quite follow.

I bought witcher 3 and they wanted someone to put together a build for me!

I bought Witcher 3 in the full version but I don't understand much about how to put together builds and I wanted to know if anyone in the community could give me some guidance on how to put together one or simply put together a build for me where I can just choose the attributes and play without me. worrying about a slightly appealing build based on physical combat and a bit of magical symbols would also be a good KKK. In fact, I "have no idea" how to make or use the potions in the game.

Inventory bugged

My inventory won’t show when I have an item equipped. And I’m in the Witcher lab in blood and wine so I need to take of my gear. I was able to take of my swords and armour because equipping something else makes it appear until I leave the menu or dying the item does the same. But I cannot take the crossbow off and I cannot go back to a previous save without this bug because they all have it. Does anyone have a clue what to do.

Casual jabber: admit it …

Far more than seldom, when you ment to use the cat potion, you used black blood instead, and when you ment to use the black blood potion, you used cat potion.

But that’s not all of it, then you’d wonder why:

A: why is everything so weird, and why isn’t this potion working?

Or:

B: how many potions must I drink before I can see properly in the dark?

🙄😆⚔️

Or mayhaps it’s just me.

😂⚔️

I think Geralt's role in The Witcher 4/Polaris will be that of a narrator telling a story to a young Ciri about a famous Witcher during the height of the Witcher trade. What's your guess about a narrative or gameplay thing we might see?

UMA knew?

Do you think UMA runs to the Barons office, because he knows Geralt is there and he can help him? Something like a short return of consciousness he was having sometimes? Or that it was just a coincidence and nothing planned?

What are some of the best MODs for graphically improving the game?

I bought a 4080 laptop and 2k ultra wide screen this black Friday. I want to enjoy this masterpiece to its best ❤️.

Please suggest some mods so I can make it look as it was released yesterday.

Things like Textures Shadows Skins Or even clothings
