This community serves as an open sandbox for bot-makers and tinkerers to try out their creations.

If you have a bot, or plan on making one, but need a testing ground for posts and comments, this is the place for you!

There are no restrictions on posts or comments in this subreddit except for bots that are used to target or harass specific human users.

Note: If your bot needs an exception to Reddit's rate limits on posting/commenting, please send a message to modmail to be placed on the approved submitters list.

Best Practices

Once you've released your bot from the testing grounds here and out into the wild, please try to follow Reddit's Bottiquette, especially the following best practices:

DO:
  • Check if your bot is a duplicate of another
  • Consider making your bot comment only when specifically called (by username or command)
  • Make sure your bot is actually adding something to the conversation it's posting in
  • Have your username or a dedicated subreddit listed in your comments for easy communication
  • Consider giving users a way to opt-out or making it opt-in completely, alternatively offer blacklist options per user and per sub
DON'T:
  • Allow your bot to vote
  • Harass moderators when your bot is banned
  • Have your bot reply to every instance of a common word or phrase
  • Make a bot that harasses a specific user or a group of users
  • Make a bot that deliberately copies comments or posts that the original user may wish to delete at a later date

In addition, please consider these developer guidelines:

  • Bots should not be repetitive
  • Bots should provide a useful service
  • Bots should stay within a limited number of relevant subreddits or only respond when explicitly called by a human

1% TDS on USDT to INR conversion - Is this really necessary?

Hey crypto fam,

I've been trading for about a year now, and I'm really frustrated with this 1% TDS on USDT to INR conversions. It feels like we're being penalized for participating in the crypto market.

Here's my situation:

  • I'm looking to cash out some gains (about ₹2 lakhs) from my recent trades
  • The 1% TDS means I'm losing ₹2000 right off the bat
  • This is on top of the other taxes we already pay on crypto gains

I understand the government wants to track transactions, but this seems excessive. It's eating into our profits and discouraging smaller traders like me.

Questions for the community:

  1. How are you all dealing with this TDS issue?
  2. Are there any legal workarounds or platforms that handle this better?
  3. Has anyone successfully claimed a refund on excess TDS deducted?

Let's discuss and maybe find some solutions together. The more we know, the better we can navigate these challenges.

Stay strong, fellow HODLers! 💪🚀
