Getting my Bachelors While Teaching ESL?

Hey guys :) I'm currently enrolled in online school on track to get my bachelors. I'm considering getting my TEFL certification overseas through a 4 week immersion program and landing a teaching job - while still in school finishing my bachelors. Has anyone here ever done this before? Does this sound like it'd be way too much--- especially since it'd be my first ESL job?

Looking for advice or leads to work as a recruiter at a legitimate company.

Hi Everyone,

I worked in Human Resources for a long time before becoming an English Teacher abroad. I've been teaching now for three years. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to combine my talents and be the guy who conducts interviews and such. I want to apply to established companies like Teaching Nomad for example. I'm hoping people in this sub can give me the names of other companies I can reach out to, or if there are any websites that post these types of positions. I only know of a couple companies.
My plan for now is simply to view the careers section of the website and go from there. Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Looking For A Teacher to Hire

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well :) I've been teaching English full-time for nearly four years, and I've recently had the opportunity to co-found a new ESL company. More information follows below, and you can check out our Instagram at gingers.online.

Gingers is an online English company specializing in group classes for Russian students. We are looking for a teacher to add to our growing team.

Requirements:

TEFL/TESOL or a degree related to teaching or English.

Native English speaker.

Ability to work with children or adult students, both preferred.

Availability in mornings and early afternoon EST.

Merithub, Whatsapp, and Telegram accounts.

What to Expect:

Gingers strives to provide excellent content for our students. We currently teach multiple group classes for kids age 6 to 14, and will be expanding to adult classes soon. We follow the Superminds and Prepare textbook series for children with custom lesson plans. Lesson planning support will be provided, but teachers will be expected to prepare their own content that is appropriate for the group's level. Group sizes are 3 to 6 students and are one hour long. The starting pay is $25 Canadian per hour with the ability to increase in the future. Payment is through PayPal or Wise and will be sent from Canada.

We are currently a small team of two: Melody who is an ESL teacher in Canada and Julia who is an ESL teacher in Russia. As such, we work closely to ensure both our teachers and students have a good experience. If you are interested or have further questions, please contact me through private message. There will be a short interview and a trial class if we think you would be a good fit for this role.

Great TEFL opportunity avaiable in Pompeii, Italy, for those who are interested! I had to turn it down as I'm scared of the volcano.

Title says it all. There's a company called London Plus Languages who is offering accomodation in an AirBnB and a €300 stipend monthly to help teaching English in an open, non-curricular manner. I find everything about the company very attractive, and the people I spoke to their were so kind! They are looking for starters ASAP, as in, they wanted me to start within days!

I'm talking about them here because the opportunity is so great, but I couldn't take it due to volcano fears, and I like the company so want to help them out as they are in NEED of workers right now!

If you're interested please email your CV and drop them a line at info@londonplus.it

Just to clarify - I do not work for this company and will not benefit if anyone goes to work there, I'm just sharing the opportunity so others can see it!

Analysis of China's Education Sector Crackdown Hitting After-School Tutoring Companies

Online teachers in Vietnam, Thailand, and other countries are devastated by China's crackdown on private tutoring. As a result of these regulations, thousands of digital nomad educators are losing their job.

A few months after the regulations, the well-known online tutoring companies, have announced they would stop promoting and selling online classes offered by foreign teachers as their main clientele of Chinese students are leaving, under the impact of a series of measures released by the Chinese education sector. The measures banned foreign-based teachers from conducting any training courses in China.

How China’s private tutoring regulations are affecting online teachers, read more

Does every esl teacher got a tefl or tesol certificate? Should I get one? I signed up a 120Hr TEFL course on Teacher Record for free.

I want to become an ESL teacher after graduation. I heard that an ESL teacher should get a teaching certificate. I couldn't afford to get one. And I found a free TEFL certificate on Teacher Record. It states it's free. Is it too good to be true? what certificate do you use?
