Hello! It's my first year working in the startup world. I've seen some mixed (and much older) posts on Reddit about the TechCrunch conferences. The TechCrunch newsletter is advertising the Early Stage conference. I'm wondering what thoughts the community has on the TechCrunch Early Stage conference and the Disrupt conference.

If you've attended either conference, please share your experience. I have seen some people strongly advising that conferences of any kind are a waste of time and money, as well.

My co-founder and I are looking for reputable, worthwhile events to attend in the startup space (bonus points if there's a high volume of technical people to connect with and learn from). Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

An article titled “Deal Dive: A Stripe secondary deal worth paying attention to” was posted yesterday on TechCrunch and I’m not a Premium subscriber. Does anyone have the full article they could add to the thread? Alternatively, could you summarize it? I’m hoping to get the full picture and get a brief discussion going about the likelihood Stripe Direct lists this year. Thanks in advance!
