World's last Nokia 3310 FINALLY is destroyed

Th last Nokia 3310 in the world apperently was finally destroyed when a traveler in space through it out the airlock of his spacecraft in anger that he lost reception while talking to his girlfriend, and lost reception. 5 days later, some ships were traveling in the same path, and hit the floating Nokia 3310. The Nokia 3310 endlessly drifted in space for 10 years until it reached a black hole.

TIL that historical inconsistencies and contradictions used to be a problem as we had no access to all sections of the multiverse.

TIL that in the early 2000's there was cult-like worship of animals called "cats."

I think the Egyptians worshiped them too.

DAE think reddit has gone down in quality in recent years?

For instance, all these rage novel trilogies are way overdoing things. I wish people would stick to the classic rage novellas that used to be popular. If you can't tell your joke in a few dozen pages, it's too long!

My xCyclic 361 got another crimson sphere of imminent repair, but my n64 still works fine.

I threw that object of uselessness into the white dwarf.

A little help please,

The station's Schrodinger Reactor's Mobius Conduit has experienced an unintentional data graft resulting in a temporal redundancy. I was wondering if I could conceivably fix it by performing a matrix splice on its prismatic core. Would that work, or is there something else I should do?

TIL there used to be a continent named Antarctica.

It was entirely ice and had these creatures named 'penguins' and 'polar bears'. Here's some pictures of it I found in an eco-conservative museum today:

FOR THE LAST TIME: If you're going to post in the past, put your historical facts in a spoiler tag. [x-post from 2569]

Ok, I know I speak for more than myself when I say I'm getting pretty sick of this. Sure, posting in the past is fun, but please use caution.

SOME OF US don't want to know how it ends just yet. Besides, every time you post to the past, it generates a paradox, and paradoxes are time-littering. Pick up your time-litter, jerks and slap a spoiler tag on that post.

Reddit, I've discovered a method to trapping these damnable monsters into small balls and taming them. Please read.

Citizens of our world,

It has been several generations since our ancestors left the vaults. Over their thousands of years in the shelters, our knowledge of the old world was all but lost. My archaeology teams continue to search for old-world technology, but something (perhaps thankfully) is becoming increasingly evident: The humans of old attempted (almost successfully) to eliminate all weapons in the world before it could be undone. All of our technology, save for what was available in the vaults, is based on what they were willing to leave behind. It is also becoming evident that the wildlife of the Old World was far less threatening than what we see now. Many of my colleagues and I postulate that humans were once the dominant race on Earth, actually causing the extinction of many animal species. In fact, it seems increasingly evident that intense radiation and sickness over the thousands of years caused the rapid evolution of animals in such a way that they are made for killing each other, and natural selection left only a few hundred (I've found no evidence of more than 150 or so in our region) major players remaining.

I apologize for rambling. I think it is, however, important that all who read this understand how my team got to this particular development, and that you also understand that modern science involves almost entirely reverse-engineering Old World technology. So when I tell you that what I have developed is completely new, rather than an extraction of some former device, you will comprehend the magnitude of this discovery.

By analyzing the remains of deceased monsters, I discovered that the same particle abnormalities that allow them to revive themselves a few months after being killed allow them to compress their whole self into a compact space. At least (if not more) startling is the discovery of circuit-like fragments in their brain. All living animals are, in fact, part technological. By hacking the circuit of one specimen, I was able to make it passive on revival. With practice, I was able to teach them just a few (around four) specific commands that they would obey without question.

I've combined these two ideas into a piece of technology that I believe will secure the safe future of humankind on this hostile Earth. By trapping a weakened monster in my new device, it can be made obedient to the commands of its owner. We can fight back the monsters of our world with monsters of our own!

I've yet to name my new device. Mr. Silph has suggested to name it the "Pocket Ball," and I rather like that idea. However, I refuse to let it become a luxury for the wealthy. As I hold the patent, I hereby ask that all willing to help in the betterment of mankind should bring me a hollowed-out apricorn, and my lab team will use it as a shell for this new device.

If any researchers in Johto or Hoenn are willing to help, I would gladly share absolutely everything I've discovered over these few months. We need to make this happen.

Thank you for your time, Reddit.

Sincerely,

Professor Samuel Oak
