Looking for band members in southern Nevada

I play guitar, am learning drums and do some singing. I write my own stuff but I wanna find some passionate people to play with. With my stuff I'm going for a surfy 60s garage rock sorta sound but I love all sorts of stuff. Let me know if you are interested or if you know of any ways to find band members!

Artists that used lipstick pickups?

This is a shot-in-the-dark but maybe someone in the community has some insight!

A common “fact” you see online is that surf guitarists from the early 60s liked to play guitars with lipstick pickups. But searching through tons of images of classic surf bands I’m hard pressed to find someone holding a guitar with actual lipstick pickups. The only famous player from the era I know for sure used them is Duane Eddie (not surf but he’s the closest I could find)

Is this an internet myth?
