The Sunshine Coast is an urban area in South East Queensland, north of the state capital of Brisbane on the Pacific Ocean coastline. Although it does not have a central business district, by population it ranks as the 9th largest metropolis in Australia and the third largest in Queensland.

Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

E-scooter vandalism

I understand not everyone likes the whole rental e-scooter thing, but what possesses smooth brain d-bags to push them all over and throw them into bushes every night??! Every single morning I walk the dog by the beach and there is scooter carnage everywhere.

I know it’s a ridiculous suggestion that the police should do their job, but I just don’t understand why people are compelled to trash their own backyard day in day out??

pros/cons of living in Bribie as a 20F

i don’t know if this belongs here so i’m sorry if it doesn’t! I’m trying to decide whether or not i should move to Bribie Island and live with my partner. I’m from brisbane (20mins from the city) but since i’m a 20 year old female, i’m worried that i will really struggle finding people around my age that i can relate to. everytime i visit i only ever see older people and i know the vibe is entirely different compared to where i live in brisbane. Does anyone have any advice, pros or cons living in Bribie? Anything helps ◡̈ Or if you’re in your early 20’s living in Bribie and looking to meet new people please reach out!! thank you in advance everyone!

Wedding location ideas

Looking for locations where we can have a tipi/marquee style reception. Wondering where we can hire land that’s not too pricy. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Looking to buy- Coolermaster 5 pin to Sata power cables

Does anyone have any spare 5 pin to SATA power cables from a cooler master modular power supply.

I stupidly threw out my giant box of old cables at my wife's insistence when we moved.

I can't seem to purchase them online in Australia either. Can pick up and pay cash.

Coolum music festival will take over Blackflag Brewing in July

Some positive news for the music industry thanks to micro festivals such as The Big Weekend popping up.

Pricey, Dave Gleeson (Screaming Jets) and The Bennies will headline, plus a host of local acts

What do you want to see for live music on the Sunshine Coast?

Sight seeing activities

G’day there, thought I’d try the one source and locals. Up Sunshine Coast way for a week and scoot around to explore (based near Sippy downs)

I’m quite lax and wing it but only have Baxter/Kondallila and Baroom dam on my list, so was hoping some locals could suggest some ideas.

I do have a vehicle so easy enough to get around and only have at some point heading down Brisbane way to visit a friend.

Any suggestions for

  • nature sight seeing spots (happy to do day hikes or short hikes) or drive to must see places. For anywhere between Sunshine Coast down past Brissy
  • any fun outdoor activities to potentially consider
  • aaaaand the silly “best must try and eat” places (full confession I’m on the gym bandwagon so seafood wouldn’t go astray)

Thanks a plenty!

Casual beach fishing recommendation

I don't fish, but I have a mate coming over from the country for a few days next week and he wants to go fishing and is bringing his rods and tackle with him. I endeavoured to find out, ahead of time, where a good spot might be, on the beach-ish.

Now I know, no-one wants to give up their special locations where the one that got away doesn't get away as often, but I'm just looking for somewhere were we can stand in the surf for a couple of hours, shoot the shit, and have a moderate chance of catching something, just for the experience. He just won't be happy unless we do.

I see people fishing on Peregian Beach all the time. Rarely do I see any suggestion that there might be actual fish being caught.

So what can you tell me? Preferably northern SC - I live Peregian way - so probably going to Caloundra might be a stretch, although I will if that's the best place.

Also, when's best - morning/night? High/low tide? I haven't actually fished since I was a kid.

alternative schools in sunshine coast

im a student at a school currently that i dont think caters to my needs. me and my mum have been fighting the school on this for ages and im so tired of school. i have adhd and autism and schoolwork is not engaging for me at all and its genuine sensory torture. ive been trying to convince her to go online but she thinks a combination of online and normal school is best, like i go to school some days and work from home other days. but the school system said no lol. are there any online/ alternative schools that are good? for alternative schools, perferably one thats actually safe. im not a bad kid, and i feel like the kids there would make fun of me or bash me idk😭

any help would be so amazing

Recommend a thorough pre purchase inspector

What kind of building inspector do I need?

When we bought our last place we regretted getting the building and pest inspection that we did because they weren't as thorough as we wanted. For example they didn't pick up on the fact the garage would flood every time it rains. Also we need to check if the roof has insulation and if we can put solar in.

The place we are looking at has recently been flipped and I can tell they did a crappy job from the choice of appliances and fixtures, but I can fix that. I don't know much about the big stuff like drainage and roofing.

Is that a different kind of inspection? Like would I be better off getting a structural engineer?

Bli Bli Vs Pacific Paradise

If you could buy a house in bli bli (bigger property) or Pacific paradise (smaller) what would you choose.

What do you see increasing percentage value higher., what are do you see having a boom.

And a questions is Pacific paradise in a flood zone?

Mattress disposal?

Is the tip + fees ($20 a piece) the only option? We've got a pile of small foam gym mattresses as well as some long rolls of the blue foam gymnastics mats. Shed flooded, they went mouldy 😑
