3. Recycling, paper, metal, and plastic

Here is the plan we are on currently: Tired Rate plan

• Tier 1 $0.40
• Tier 2 $0.50
• Baseline allowance 9.7KW/day

And here's the EV-2 Plan:

• Peak $0.48 (4:00 pm to 9:00 pm)
• Partial Peak $0.47 (3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm to 12:00 am)
• Off-peak $0.30 (12:00 am to 3:00 pm)

Even if we change our lifestyle to accommodate the off-peak rates, we still have to pay $0.30/KWh. Why do we put up with this? There are states where rates are still as low as $0.10-$0.12 / KWh. No wonder the rest of the country makes fun of us, whether fairly or unfairly.

What was the police incident on central expressway just east of San Thomas expressway around 8 pm on Saturday feb 1. Eastbound central was completely blocked by police cars.

I will be commuting from Sunnyvale to SF for work ad plan to take Caltrain. I know parking at the station isn't free (costs $5.50/daily), so I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for free parking alternative nearby.

I've read some older posts (2-5 years ago) mentioning street parking in the neighborhoods, possibly parking next to Whole Foods, and even under Philz. I don't mind a bit of a walk from the Caltrain station.

Does anyone have any suggestions on spots to check out or avoid?

I always see a small dog being left to himself in the balcony of one of these apartments on keifer. I take this route almost 2-3 times in a day and always see this dog sitting by himself with a sad face.
