i’m watching this show for the very first time due to looking for shows that had very high ratings. i just finished ep 6 of season 1 and the first 2 eps were a bit slow and not very entertaining but as it went on it’s gotten very better. the thanksgiving dinner was a really entertaining piece. the thing i don’t really understand is tom and shiv ordeal. who is joyce? why do they need a lawyer for their wedding? are their parents lawyers? and do the roy siblings have different moms? it was mentioned briefly before that connor has a different mom. also tom is from saint paul and i was raised here TOO LOL. also GERRI AND ROMAN PISSED ME OFF, why did they not vote for the no confidence!! THEY SOLD KENDALL OUT. i have got million questions. can it even get better than this. i’ve never seen a show this entertaining since i’ve watched game of thrones last november.
Is ged better than a high school diploma.
I've recently been playing alot of df and I want to play in a succession game so bad lol.
Roman and Logan are not only incestuous, they share a piss fetish.
^^ A statement to turn off the tv watchers.
Ayo. I feel like a bunch of these games have moved to discord, and we aren't seeing a lot of PBP action. I want to hear tales of your ongoing fortresses.
the acting is some of the stiffest and most unnatural Ive ever seen. There is ZERO charisma in any of them(except for the Tom character), and the chemistry between most of them is non-existent.
Im reluctant to watch any more episodes due to this, and the only reason I might watch some more is to see where they are headed with Tom. He started out as a massive douche/bully, but I have literally no idea what they have planned for him.
Their use of the word "dad" will at some point do my head in, as it sprinkled in nearly every conversation and it feels so unnatural every time they say it.
I also cant believe how flat and lifeless Kendall comes across., not the character but the actual acting. I saw the actor in The Big Short where he had two lines and maybe 5 minutes of screen time and he had way more charisma and was way more interesting. Maybe he went for a muted take on the character but it just feels so lackadasial and low energy.
Ive only seen praise for the show, but it wasnt THAT great tbh
We're a DF succession discord server that's been going for about a year, currently have 4 fully active players and a couple spectators/irregulars. Since adventure mode is about to go public, we figured this was a good time to start recruiting for our newest project:
An adventure mode succession! Anyone who signs up before we start (around april 18) gets to add a character to the starting party, who will be your "named dwarf" of this succession. Take turns controlling the party, writing reports (presumably from the perspective of your character), each turn is 1 week to play 1 year in game.
If you want in comment here or DM me I'll give you the discord invite.
Succession made a joke about Lukas Matsson having sex while wearing wireless headphones. This comes from a tabloid rumor about Leonardo DiCaprio. Does the story in Prague 1;8 about Kendall and Roman and the dog cage have any similar basis in reality?
Watching that episode ———2nd and 3rd time I’ve watched the episode.
Dialogue, story and staging are all epic. So many issues coming to a head. Shiv’s unspoken agenda. Roman’s and Shiv’s voicing the absolute truth to Ken.
Ken was all about Himself.
Roman telling Shiv to vote yes.
End of an era.
Shiv and Tom taking hands in the SUV shows they plan to be Co-CEOs.
Just wanted to see what everyone's up to, if anyone has any stories to share.
I'm tentatively signed up for a turn in a "reclaim the world" succession game on the Bay12 forums, but my master's thesis is eating up all my predictable free time so I'm just lurking in various threads and wishing I could participate.
Have you played a succession game lately? Do you want to start one? Please tell me about it!
Urist McStudent is unfocused after going too long without striking the earth!
That whole family is so F***ed up...This is just me talking as a broke man that will never ever have that kind of money or power but if that's how it is, i don't fucking want it. everyone can have the money and power if they want it. I want to be like that uncle that lives in canada. Mind you, i'm only on s2 e7 so i don't know how well this post is going to age.
She and her husband actor Patrick Wilson talk eating on film locations, how they met, and pizza on the Pizza Pod Party.

Really poorly written. Not even stupid poor people would do the repeated phone good-byes in the ear of a dead dad.. Tom’s a moron.
The characters of Greg,Tom and Roman are so ridiculous , little of this can be more realistic than watching The Office.
This is Parody.
In S4 Kendall wears a shearling jacket which I NEED to find (or an equivalent). Who can help me?
I've seen other posts asking the same question, but I haven't found a good link / actual product page.
Note: I live in The Netherlands!
Simple, probably stupid question - what, exactly, is Shiv referring to here?
When the Roys gather to anoint Mencken the Republican candidate for the election, Shiv is horrified. As they file out of Logan's hotel room, she cries out "This is how it happens??"
What was your read of this line? Is she talking about how US Presidents are selected by the ruling elite, or is she more pointedly referring to what she sees as the fall of the American Republic?
I'm curious as to what people's interpretation of this scene and this line were
Getting into Succession and ran into the New Yorker article. What episode does does Logan pee on Kendall’s rug? What episode does Logan get hit with the pee balloon?
Mine is Greg! Love him !
Look, let's be honest here, this sub's barely used anyway. There was some stuff going on five years ago, but recently? We were getting just a handful of posts a year before the show came out. This sub just hasn't been terribly successful at setting up succession forts, I guess either the gimmick itself has fallen off in popularity or else people would just rather set it up on Bay12.
Frankly, I don't see how this is worth the mods' time to filter the out of place posts. And since they seem to just stay up, it seems like the moderators don't consider it worth their time either. I think at this point the most reasonable thing to do would be to just change the sidebar and the pinned posts and hand it over to the mod team for /r/SuccessionTV or whatever is the main sub for the show.
Hi Fuckleheads,
I am rewatching s3e8 “Chiantishire” looking for inspiration for outfits for an upcoming wedding ceremony I have in Italy (not that I could afford them).
Anyway, the episode starts with a song I am sure is not in the soundtrack. It begins right after the opening credits are over, as Sandy & Stewie are pulling up to Waystar HQ to talk with the Roys about GoJo acquisition.
Does anyone know the name of it?
Thank you and god bless.
