USA 🇺🇸 or Germany 🇩🇪

Im fresh out of high school and looking to do my studies overseas.

What is better in your guys’ opinion. Im going the community route in USA and hopefully one day get US Citizenship

Or since I have certification I’ll study in Germany where under the new laws in 3 years with special integration I can have what is possibly one of the most powerful passports in the world?

UCL vs Bayes vs Warwick for Business Analytics

I have received offers from UCL, Bayes and Warwick for the MSc Business Analytics course. I know all three are great universities, but I have some doubts about each one.

Firstly, UCL School of Management (the department that offers this course) is nowhere to be found on any league tables for management schools (FT, QS, etc). Would that affect job placements after graduation? Also, I could not find any graduate employment report for this course on the UCL website which was a bit suspicious. They only passingly mentioned that 96% of the graduates were employed 15 months after graduation. However, since this course has major elements of STEM (Data Science), and UCL is very well known for its STEM brilliance, I am tending towards this uni. Plus, I want to go into the tech sector.

Secondly, Bayes Business School is very well-ranked (Top 50 in the FT Tables) and has an excellent employer reputation. But, City, University of London (parent uni of Bayes) is not ranked highly. Also, the employment report from Bayes does not mention what percentage of their graduates were employed and after what time after graduation. The report only mentions the top locations and sectors of their graduates. They have clubbed together all Management master's graduates (from different courses like MSc Business Analytics, MSc Digital Supply Chain Management, MSc Entrepreneurship, etc). The tech sector is not even mentioned in their employment report, which is a bit discouraging.

Finally, Warwick is also very well-ranked as a business school alongside Bayes (and even Imperial in the FT Rankings). Their employment report was the best and most detailed - 90% of the graduates received offers up to 6 months after completion. The only problem I have is that Warwick is not in London (not a big problem for many, ik). I want to live in London for the duration of my course and I feel like I will miss opportunities if I live in Warwick.
As for the course modules, I feel like UCL and Warwick have the best modules, while Bayes lags behind.
I want to know which uni should choose for the best outcome of my career. My goal is to start a business in the tech sector after graduating.

It’s trite, but: at the time of 2024, where do you think is the best place for students to move?

I've been asking this question for a long time, but lately many loved ones have also been asking about it. I live in the CIS countries [Commonwealth of Independent States], many people are trying to leave here, including me. Most move to the USA/France if I'm not mistaken. But do you have experience/knowledge in this matter?

Need Advice!!

Hi , I'm a 17F from pakistan . I got admission in Business Administration in NUST islamabad , which is one of the best institutions in the country . Now here i have two options , i can either complete my full bachelors degree from pakistan and then go for masters to Germany or do one year from here (13 years of education) and complete my bachelors from germany. Here are the pros and other factors to consider:

Pros of staying in pakistan for bachelors: -It's the best university this country has to offer. -Since i havent ever lived by myself , I'll gain social skills while living among people of my own country. -I plan to do a minor in AI or some other field , which i dont know will be possible in Germany. -I have many internship opportunities here for 3rd and 4rth year. -I also plan to do some undergrad exchange programs to gain exposure since this uni has many affiliations with unis abroad. -I wont have to work here in pakistan and can spend more time focusing on studies and other activities (there are many societies in the uni ). -Won't have to submit the block account amount and the expenditure will be relatively low . -food and housing are all provided by the university dormitory. -Less struggle overall and more in my comfort zone.

Pros of doing my bachelors in Germany: -Exposure and skill polishing and personality grooming. -Work experience -independence and better education -More future opportunities -possibly get a permanent residency , if i stay for masters too

  • more freedom since its a better country overall.

-will have to figure out my own housing and food.

Now the biggest con i see is first , i will have to work alongside my degree in germany which can get tough and second, even though i can adjust relatively easy (i have many international friends) , i still am anxious about the people in germany and if its the right desicion. The language aint a issue cause i can reach german proficiency of atleast B1 (ill try B2) , in a year. Convincing my parents will be a bit of a hard part as well, but i want honest opinion about what is better.

In need of recommendations for a European Trip

Hey everyone!

I am fortunate enough to be studying abroad in Europe over this upcoming Summer and Fall, Amsterdam in the Summer, and Barcelona in the Fall.

In between these two programs, I have a break July 26-August 16th, where I have absolutely nothing planned as of yet.

From August 17-26th, me and my mother plan to visit Italy, Portugal, and return to Amsterdam.

From August 27th-September 3rd, I will be in the UK and Ireland.

Besides these locations and dates, I have nothing particular planned, and was hoping to find some help in this post. I would appreciate any and all recommendations, and the more obscure the better!

Cheers!

Study Abroad!

I’ve heard from many people that it doesn’t matter where you go abroad, just that you do it! While this is definitely true, everyone who studies abroad has a moment of pondering where they would find the most happiness, get pushed the most, or learn something completely different when making their decisions.

While everyone’s decision is unique, I found that my path to discovering the best option for me coincided with exactly what I wanted to get out of abroad. As a result, I landed in Prague for my fall semester. Why Prague? While there are so many reasons why, it’s definitely not the most popular destination. Most students I went to school with were heading to Milan, Paris, or Barcelona, instead of the fairytale Central European city I found myself in.

When I first arrived at college, I had barely heard about Prague and had no idea what the city defined itself by. It wasn’t until I took an international relations course that touched on the economic transition of the former Soviet Bloc that I became intrigued by the city. In this class, I learned about the historic Prague Spring, the Velvet Revolution, and all that came after! So much history had touched the city and upon further research, I realized that it was also beautiful.

CIEE gave me the opportunity to dive into my interests! Through their program in Prague called Central European Studies I found myself in the most interesting classes. While there I took Cold War Confrontation, Central European Politics, Intro to Czech, and a film class that touched on the times of Hitler and Stalin. The time I spent wandering around the city I would see what we were discussing in class which made it all the more special.

By the end of my time there, when friends had come and visited I could take them around the city and point out all the historic sites as well as the little things I found that you can’t discover on a typical tour. I had fallen in love with Prague and the history that characterizes it.

While my academic interests brought me to Prague I know people that choose locations for very different reasons. Some of my friends loved Spanish food so they went to Spain, other friends were trying to become fluent in Italian so they went to Italy, other people I know wanted something totally unique so they went to Chile. Whatever reasoning they had, they made the most of it. CIEE allowed me to have the most amazing time where I was, and with their more than 150 number of programs, they can do the same for you! #CIEE #CIEEambassador

pursue college abroad or stay in the Philippines and have a degree first?

Hi! I'm really confused and idk what to do.

My family has been planning to send me to Adelaide, Australia (my aunt is a citizen there) and pursue my college there but there's a few situations to consider:

  1. Establish my self early abroad. Study for college in Australia but i am working at the same time. After graduating, I can apply for a job. Note: My choices are Bachelors in Aviation, Bachelors in Pharmaceuticals, Bachelors in Chemical Engineering.

  2. I should get a degree first and apply for a job in Australia afterwards.

My brother's concern is that maybe I can't handle being a working student. Also, money is also a problem here. please help me. what should i do?

Regarding jobs after graduation from any xyz German University

Hello everyone,

I am currently in my final semester of my bachelor's degree. As graduation approaches, I am beginning to search for job opportunities. I am planning to move to Germany for my master's studies and subsequent employment. However, I have some concerns about potential language barriers in Germany.

My question is: If I complete my master's degree in Germany in the German language, will I face any language-related difficulties in the future, particularly regarding the value of my degree and job prospects?

Thank you for your insights.
