Screen printing: Should I use 2 or 3 stencils for text on hoodies?
Screen printing on hoodies: 2 or 3 stencils for text?
I'm working on a screen printed hoodie design that features a girl in gray and white, text (logo) also white. The printer suggested using a separate stencil for the text, arguing that it will make the text brighter and more opaque. However, I'm concerned about the added cost and complexity of using a third stencil, the price is obviously higher for 3 stencils, but will the result be much different?.
My question:
- Should I use 2 or 3 stencils for screen printing text on hoodies?
- What are the pros and cons of each approach?
- What factors should I consider when making my decision?
Additional details:
- The girl image is in grayscale.
- The text is fairly simple and doesn't have any intricate details.
- I print on black hoodies
Do you have examples of photos of what it will look like if I use two or three stencils, I will be grateful.
I'm hoping to get some feedback from the community on this. What do you think?
