Stoner Rock is the fuzzed-out step-child of hard rock and heavy metal, often with hints of pyschedelic and blues rock as well as doom metal. Songs typically feature a bass-heavy groove, detuned guitars and mind-expanding lyrics (if there are any, that is).

I am really obseced with this song by John Garcia (kyuss singer) of the álbum "the coyote Who spoke in tonges", that is full of acustic kyuss covers. It isnt stoner, groovy or heavy, but i think its a really good song with nice lyrics and vocals.
What are your toughts on It?

Fucking love this sub. Amazing feeling to scroll through and see how much everyone loves the genre, and all these bands and their songs that have become such a huge part of me for the last half of my life.
I’ve been trying to hit up more shows but it’s hard to keep track of it all! I’m in the Nor Cal/Bay Area, it seems like a lot of bands in general have been skipping out on us. Clutch swung by my city last year and they were fucking electric and I’m so grateful they did. Any tips to stay in the loop?

I’m not overly religious. I am a believer in a very abstract way. Satan is an interesting character. I just don’t understand why with stoner/doom/sludge etc. it’s an on going theme. Just wondering why?
I love getting recommendations from this sub. I was listening to a playlist on Spotify and listened to a new single by Stonekind, which is pretty bass heavy. Any recommendations for other bands with bass more upfront in the band or very distinct bass?
The Hazytones just dropped a new album today; Wild Fever. Anyone not hip to the band, or you are and it’s not n your radar, give it a listen. Very good album from the boys!
First single from the upcoming live session by Cypriot heavy rockers STONUS.
