I hear bands like CoC and The Sword being classified as stoner along with Sleep, Electric Wizard, etc. Im confused as to what stoner really is. Some CoC stuff is definitely stoner for me, like the closers on all of their albums from 1991-2005 (with the exception of Gettin It On from AVD). Some Sword stuff maybe, I can hear some doomyish stoner rock ish stuff in there but it sounds more like thrash ngl. Lament for the aurochs might be stoner to me? I even find some Metallica songs more stoner out of all bands, like The Outlaw Torn. Then Electric Wizard and Sleep are just pure stoner to me. Slow, discontorted (is that a word?), heavy, sludge territory. Maybe I just have the definition all off but Im confused. Could someone explain? Thanks
Slo Burns really awesome cool EP I’ve not heard in years with fresh ears is on Spotify now. Idk how long it’s been up, but it’s new to me, maybe to you as well now.

I.e who is the Metallica, Slater, Anthrax, Megadeth of stoner metal?
Sleep and Electric Wizard would be the obvious first two, but who after that? Is Kyuss metally enough? Are you counting Black Sabbath? High on Fire, Om, Weedeater, Boris, YOB, Spiritual Beggars?
I cannot find this albums lyrics anywhere. The only lyrics I can find are of the first track and that is litterly it. If there is a link to some website I cant seem to find or something, it would be great o have it!

Cool visuals to a live show by Colour Haze
I used to listen to a stoner metal band on youtube and all I can remember is that the album cover art was a bunch of zombified sheep.

I am a massive fan of Electric Wizard and am learning more about gear and bass in general.
so I come here to ask what model bass that Tim Bagshaw used in the early days of electric wizard
here is a reference image

All I know is that it's a Kramer bass, that's it
