Anyone interested in a V20 game? Either hosted in Granite City, or can be playing in SL if we can find space. Also open to online play.
Are there any other good stores around town to pick up RPGs and supplies?
Ahhh. Another lovely day, for DND. Its Wednesday my amazing players and that, as always, means were back at it again c:
I would like to cordially invite any and all down to the wonderful Moonbasement tonight at 7 p.m., to join us in one of our campaigns. It is located directly under our awesome bar here at the Moonbase. We would request you check in with any one of our extremely hospitable Moonbase Staffers, you can locate them at or near the sales counter in the main hall.
Now for the important part, the games!! Haha tonight I am very excited to bring to you the continuing of our 2 homebrew campaigns. The Tales of Templeshore and the Worlds of Azurda tables should both be active c:
As a reminder, the games are being ran at 4th (Templeshore) and 7th (Azurda) level and we would ask any new players to role a character ahead of time if they so choose c: If you would like to do stats for them, we would request you use standard array, or 27 point buy c: if you would like you can roll for them at the table as well :)
There are always open spots available for any and all interested so please if you would like to invite your friends to join as well, we would love it c:
I hope everyone has a great day and we look forward to see you all tonight at the tables c:

Hey ya'll. Shameless Self Promotion time haha.
Moonbase Market (Address: 1921 S 9th St, St. Louis, MO 63104) in Soulard has Dungeons and Dragons on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
I run the overall group and currently we have 2 large tables with talk of adding a third game as well. Anyone could easily join either of the current games that are going on. We are also looking for more local dungeon masters to possibly run games as well!
We have a bar and a large gaming hall with all kinds of dice, minis and other games to look through.
Message me or the Moonbase Market facebook page for any questions c:
We also have a growing discord where I post info on the games c:
I also am available for private events and games, just send me a message.
I'm making a thread for anyone in the area looking for a game or players to check in on. I'll start.
I live in Cahokia, I'm familiar with most editions of D&D other than 4th, and I enjoy GURPS and Savage Worlds. I'm also familiar with several versions of Traveller. I can run standard fantasy, original space operatic, and any sort of historical from cavemen thumping dinosaurs in the head (yes, I know) to battling the Dae'sh in Tal Afar. I'm not so good at following established worlds found in books, movies, or TV, though I can have a go at Discworld. I can host, but my lair is a wreck and I got two needy cats that demolish things. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are bad for me, and my roommate takes the car for a game on Sundays. I can travel a reasonable distance on other days.
I know that this subreddit is pretty dead, but it is worth a shot. I am looking to start up a FFG SWRPG group. I have all three core books and dice so you don't need to bring anything - just a desire to play.
Diecon15 in Collinsville, IL is happening soon! http://www.diecon.com/Main/
We'll have Adventure League all weekend!
Adventure League is the organized play for 5e. We're at your Local Gaming Store Wednesday nights! It's a great way to learn to play RPG's or get back into the game you used to love.
Also, it's a great way to learn to GM. You're provided the adventure and you'll have some help to get over the jitters. Some stores even provide store credit.
I just started to get into the game, and I'm trying to find anyone, or any groups, that play x-wing. I'm located in South City, but willing to drive within reason.
Hey all, I know this subreddit is pretty dead, but I've got some DM'ing experience in Pathfinder and have a friend getting an early release copy of 5e that I should be able to borrow. I've DM'ed one game where the whole group had no prior experience and another with a semi-experienced group.
I'd gladly DM for a group that isn't looking to take things too seriously (i.e. won't abuse rules that haven't been explicitly established, but won't argue every outcome, either)--maybe one night a week at most, not every PC has to show up every week, and I can accommodate fractional XP for people that can't stay for a full session.
IRL I am a chaotic good guy, and try and keep the game fun and inclusive. I generally try and keep the campaigns as open-ended as possible. Consumption of alcoholic beverages during gameplay is also welcomed; steins even more so. Let me know if anyone out there's interested!
Is there anybody on here who would be interested in a Star Wars WEG/D6 game, either as GM or as a player?
Not offering a schedule or anything, just seeing if there's interest.
I was wondering if anyone else would be attending this event on Saturday or not. It's an all-day board game event. Here are the details from the website:
"Time: Noon - 11:00PM Cost: $15 (Covers food, beverages, and 6 raffle tickets)
Everyone who attends is welcome to bring a game (or games) they would like to play or just come and learn a new game. Food will be provided. Snacks, sodas, subs for lunch, and a pizza buffet later in the evening. Food will be set up in the game area as a buffet. Door prizes will be awarded (number based on attendance).
Door prizes to be awarded at approximately 3:00PM, 6:00PM, and 8:00PM. We will also raffle off a few games (based on attendance), raffle tickets are 1 for $1 and 6 for $5. Raffle drawings will take place at 8:00 PM. Each participant will receive a $5 coupon for use in the shop.
Over 300 games will be available for use. Table space for over 100 people will be available!"
So, it seems apparent to me that the largest problem isn't finding players, and there are definitely GMs willing to throw their hats in the mix. What I think is that finding a place to play is difficult.
So, I was wondering, does anyone perhaps know of any coffee shops or similar style locations that may be ok with having some nerds show up for 4-6 hours every week/every other week/whatever to play some RPGs? Perhaps this is a route more of us should consider?
So, I have a lot of experience DMing DnD and most recently 4E for the last couple of years. I've got a lot of resources, and will most likely run a pre-gen module. I'm open to new players and level of experience is not a problem for me. You don't need to really have anything but some dice, some pencils and paper and an imagination to play with me.
Thing I need though, is a place to play. I live on Scott AFB, and while I have a nice house, it's hard for people to get to me. So, if anyone wants to play 4E and is willing to host, I'm willing to run a 4E game with 3-6 players. My best days are the weekends and I'm free anytime then, but I can make myself available on a weeknight after 5.
Seriously guys, I'm loving that so many people are interested in gaming, but I can only run one game if I don't want to screw myself up.
Any other GMs willing to run something for these fine people?
So, I've been wanting to run a game of 50 Fathoms for a while now, and even though I have some interest with people that I actually know, this seems like a decent venue to throw it out to. I live in Belleville, but have no qualms about driving into the city, and can't host any games for multiple reasons (city people hate crossing the river, my apartment is tiny, my cat doesn't like when I have several guests), so the main thing I need is a place to run it.
I was hoping to do it on Wednesdays every other week, and don't mind if the players have absolutely no experience with Savage Worlds (the system). The one thing I'll ask is that anyone who is interested does not read the actual 50 Fathoms book. The Players Guide is fine, but please don't explore the setting any more beyond that.
So, is there interest out there?
As a GM, make a thread with what you can run and a general idea of your schedule. As a player, just reply to GMs. =)
I'm free any day after 3 but before 10 pm except Wednesdays. I'm also free all day Mondays.
I can run D&D 3.5, Shadowrun, or BESM and am more than willing to show a new player how to play =).
