Local Holiday Cookie Delivery?

Hi all - my older sister’s family recently moved to St. George, UT. I’ve personally never been there, but I want to send her family a few dozen cookies or other treats as a holiday gift. I would prefer to support a small local business if possible, but all I find on Google are the big corporate cookie companies.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m also open to other goodies - preferably edible ones! Thanks!

Gym suggestions?

As the title suggests, I am trying to decide what gym to go to, but not quite sure. Right now, I am set on Vasa fitness. How is Summit? How is the crowds at vasa? Any particular gym that you favor over the other for some reason?

Best free or inexpensive sites for an intimate, low-key wedding

My partner and I are considering marriage, but we want it to be very low-key, simple and easy. It would essentially be us and the officiant. We love Red Hills Desert Garden, but haven't found any literature on private events there or in city parks. We are in the Dixie-Sunset area. Any ideas, folks?

Butterball 4 ?

I was given a turkey at work, but I don't need it. Am going to family, out of town. Don't have anything to cook it in. So I'm giving it away. Hopefully to some family that wouldn't have one otherwise. But pretty much the first one to get my attention. Dm me with a reason you want it. 21.2 lbs

What do you do with kids and pets in the summer?

I have an almost 3 year old and a 3 month old & my husband and I are thinking about moving to St George from Park City. Up here, we never really have to stay inside because of the weather other than intense wind here and there because my three month old can’t breathe in it & my toddler has sensitive skin. Winters we can bundle them up if we want to spend time outdoors & summers/spring/fall are great and no issues for spending time outside, activities, etc.;

With the summer being as hot as it is down that way, how do you handle having a baby who may overheat (since they can’t regulate temp so young) and just overall worried about heat exposure, ?? More risk of sun burns, dehydration, etc.; all of which are dangerous, especially for kids.

Would love to hear from you locals on how this is done or any tips/tricks! Also tips/tricks for dogs that are furry and black.

So, lost my job and new to the area.

I've been working in manufacturing for about 20 years ranging from a line worker to engineering/management. Got a job in a completely new industry and boss man said he wanted my ideas on how to improve efficiency but it seems like that wasn't true. Anytime I started showing him the inefficient processes he was using in his business, I'd just get yelled at. Didn't think that place was gonna work out so been looking for about a month now, but he beat me to the punch. That's all my complaining I have about that.

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get some seasonal work or knows of a distribution/manufacturing center that's hiring. Would love to jump back into stream lining processes and I have no problem starting from the ground and building my way back up either.

Been looking but it does seem like this area isn't geared for my knowledge (continuous improvement, ISO management, quality management, process engineering). Let me know if you know anywhere that is looking.

Lift from St George on New Years

Hi, a friend and I are travelling to Zion national park from Las Vegas on Jan 1st. We're taking a cheaper shuttle to St George because we didn't want to pay 100$ for a direct shuttle. Apparently, the suntran buses are down that day and there doesn't seem to be any other way to Zion. Any tips on how to get there on New Year's Day? Also if anyone can give us a lift it would be immensely appreciated

Does anyone have random paper craft supplies they no longer want?

I lost all of my crafting supplies a few years back and have only recently pulled myself out of a really dark time in my life and I want to make a gratitude junk journal type of deal, because starting a gratitude journal really helped me out and im about finished with the normal store bought journal I've been using. My grandma bought me a book of beautiful stickers I want to use but I no longer have my large collection of scrapbook paper and all the random bits and bobs that go into junk journals. I plan on checking out DI and dollar tree on Monday, i just thought I'd see if anyone in the community had any "junk" they already wanted to get rid of. Thanks in advance. <3

Tldr; lost all my craft stuff, will take used and random bits for crafting a gratitude junk journal. <3

Track with rubberized surface

Is there a rubberized track that’s open to the public? I know there’s one at UTU but was told it’s only for students and is locked up when there’s no school sponsored event? I’d like to run but not on pavement or dirt. Thanks!

Seeking short term rental

Hello! I have been to St George for my job and and now looking to move there. Using Furnished Finders is helpful and using all avenues, but would like input from anyone who may have something short term. I have used Furnished Finder often as a travel nurse and am using it now to find something temporary while I search for a more permanent place. There would be two of us, but my better half travels more than I do. We are quiet, mature professionals, non smokers, good credit and stable positions. Looking to move to St George, but it has been a difficult task when you live in Virginia. I have been back and forth to St George with work a couple times and now ready to take that leap but do not want to lock into a lease until we can get a good feel of a property. Seeking to rent the entire unit, furnished, kitchen, 1 bed, with a full bathroom, he is a very tall guy! Would prefer utilities (or most) included. The budget is up to $1600 but would prefer to be lower. My time limit is from the end of December to the end of March on a month to month basis. This should allow us to look and give us time to find the perfect place!

Law firm / Lawyer for negligent company redoing road

Does anyone know of any firms or lawyers that would do cases of personal vehicle damage due to poor and negligent road repair?

The front bumper of my sports car was torn apart by how massive the ditch was compared to the old road. Approaching at a sharp angle didn’t help at all and it shouldn’t matter anyway.
