Update: thank you for trialing our business!

Some of you may have seen our post a couple of months ago where we were looking for people to trial our business, for those who didn't here's a quick rundown. A friend and I thought it would be cool if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers kit. That way you can paint your dog, cat, partner, the whole family or whatever you want without having to be an artist.

We looked up the idea and found that the current stores in the market were ridiculously expensive or only offered kits without a frame or with a DIY frame (who wants to put together their own frame? Don't you just want to open the box and start painting). So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers and eventually we were able to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed.

We reached out to you here on Reddit asking you to test them out at cost price and we've received some amazing feedback as a result. Thank you if you were one of our OG customers! We want to continue to grow and get more feedback and reviews though so we're re-opening the offer in case you missed it the first time around or you want to order some more kits.

You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now, we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early. If you've already ordered with that code it has no been reset so you can get the deal again!

We look forward to getting more feedback and hopefully you'll love our kits enough to spread the word to your family and friends!

Best Pharmacy in Town

I've been to multiple pharmacies in town like Smith's, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS, Brent's, Stucki, Costco, Stapleys, Lins, and Albertsons and I have always been treated like another brick in the wall. I stumbled accross a pharmacy named "Crimson Valley Pharmacy" next to dominos and decided to give them a shot.

They are hands down THE BEST pharmacy I've ever been to. I'm a Diabetic and have like 4 medications I take along side a few others for blood pressure and depression med (which they compound for me!!!). They always take care of me. They even deliver to my house. The staff here is always super friendly and you definitely feel at home.

They have a lot of stuff that other places are "out of".

They are also the only pharmacy in town that has Flumist (nasal flu mist vaccine thing lol..I hate needles).

Thought I'd share my experience in case someone was also facing similar issues finding a decent place to get their meds

Looking for parks with fire pits

I know some with barbecues, but is there any fire pits in town or in the neighboring cities? I would like to have a big-ish getogether and I thought a fire would be nice.

Commute times

Hello everyone,

Anyone around here commute to St. George from Cedar City? I'm thinking of living there because it seems quieter and more affordable. Google maps says my commute would be 45 minutes, which is right at my limit- just wanted to ask if it's expected to be worse with traffic in the mornings and whatnot. Any experiences are welcome! Tell me if you do it and what you think about it! Is it worth it?

Couple at liquor store parking lot.

There's these two couple at the liquor store parking lot asking to buy them alcohol. Couldn't tell if they are young or maybe undercover police officers. So what's your perspective? Just wondering.

You should try this if you're getting a pup any time soon

A friend of mine created this detailed dog training series a couple of years ago and I feel like it doesn't get the love it deserves. She's a fully accredited dog trainer and built this course over several years in order to save new dog owners money. Hiring a private trainer for your pup normally costs $100+ per hour and taking them to puppy preschool is typically $150 for 6 classes that just go over the basics (sit, stay etc.). Not to mention if you want to take your dog to the more advanced classes after puppy preschool it's hundreds more. She made this course so she can spend time with her pups whilst still helping people train their dogs.

Adrienne teaches everything covered there in this one course so you can teach your pup in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace and for a fraction of the price. The best part is, she works with you as you teach your pup, you can reach out to her whenever you run into any issues and she'll help. So you still get the 1 on 1 expert opinion that you'd get from a private trainer, all you have to do is send her an explanation or video of the problem you're trying to address or issues in teaching that you're having.

Delete this post if it's not allowed but I just thought this might help some new dog parents :)

Looking to get back into riding (off trail) and wanted to see if there were any others in the area that ride and may be willing to let a guy in his 30s tag along. Would have full Avi gear and a newer sled

Looking for my people

Dear southern utah I know it’s a big ask but is there a group of creative outcasts anywhere that meet up. Im looking for dancers, gays, musical theater geeks. People that are loving and accepting and wonderful and weird. Are there any underground drag shows. Or a dance community of fun adults. Help a sister out!

Pickup Basketball

If like to get back into playing ball. Been about twenty years since I've played. But I really enjoyed it when I did and it's a great workout. Anyone know where they have pickup games and what days are good to find em?

Trackmyballot working for others?

We dropped off our election ballots yesterday at a ballot box and I've been checking the status of our ballots via trackmyballot.utah.gov and it's not saying that there is any progress since Oct 15th when the ballot was sent to me. Is anyone else not seeing any updates? Am I doing something wrong when checking?

Ballot status

Does anyone know what “your mail ballot was not counted” means? I’m tracking my ballot on vote search.utah.gov and I am trying to figure out if it just hasn’t been counted yet, or if there was an issue with my ballot.

Chess?

Is there anywhere in St. George to play chess or any chess clubs? I’ve played my whole life but don’t have anyone to play with regularly and I’d like to.

Where to stay recommendations

I’m coming to St. George for a boys trip to take in some of the golf, National Parks, and otherwise amazing looking scenery that St George has to offer. We will have 6 of us.

I’d love to know what folks recommend for where to stay in the general St George area. I was looking at Airbnbs near Sand Hallow for the golf and also the reservoir that is nearby, but it seems quite removed from downtown and any potential fun/night life.

Where should I look to book our house? Is the Hurricane area fun or should I stick closer to downtown St George?

HOA assistance

Title says it all. I bought a house 5-6 years ago that the HOA was in shambles. My wife and I have held it together with tape and bubblegum long enough. Does anyone know a good resource I can utilize or know anyone that would help me for a small fee? We are a small poor HOA but I need to get this going. I appreciate any info ahead of time

New music video from Utah based band UFO Religion

My band UFO Religion just released a new single, with a music video. The song was written and recorded in Ivins, Utah, as well as Ray Michigan. Footage for the video is mostly shot in Mesquite NV, and Detroit MI. UFO Religion is Peter Litvin and Chris Whiteside. If you don't know Chris Whiteside by name, he was the main bearded barista at Caffe Elevato, when it was still open. Song is on Spotify/Apple/YT/etc.

Anyone giving away pokemon cards around here?

Tryna get some more cards to play with right now, so if anyone has old cards they don’t want to keep around, I’d love to take them. Doesn’t have to be rare cards.

I also find it satisfying to price check pokemon cards and I will do that for anyone for free just to give me something to do.

RV spots monthly

Does anyone have insights on monthy rates for rv spots on the county? Asking for a friend who is looking for a place to park an rv to live in for a while. They're having a hard time finding anything that isn't like a thousand a month plus.

Reckless captain of that station

The department knew the brakes were out on this vehicle, they were aware there was no functional seat belt, they were aware they man they made drive it was uncomfortable doing so and still made him do it almost costing him his life. The department is taking no responsibility and blaming it on him as he was the operator. Someone needs to be held accountable for endangering him ( he broke his back in this accident as he was thrown from the vehicle) and the public

Helping my shy toddler

I have a three year old who is very shy and very nervous.

We go to parks and I try my best to help them feel brave enough to go play without me, but they are so afraid and anxious around kids. I work full time and they’re at home with my partner and don’t get a lot of interaction with other kids, I know that’s why they are so shy.

Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know of any programs or activities you can take your kid to? I am wanting them to get used to being around and talking to other kids so they aren’t so shellshocked when they’re school aged.

Where are the trick or treaters?

Why don’t parents take their kids trick or treating anymore? My husband and I are at home really bummed that we don’t have kids coming to our town home to get some candy. We always go all out with decorations and make sure to have plenty of candy, but it gets more depressing every year. We’re wondering if Halloween culture has died here. Not to mention the lack of houses decorated. Losing the magic of Halloween is worse than losing the magic of Christmas😩

Edited because I put apartment but it’s actually a town home next to a rich neighborhood. I was outside a lot throughout the night and saw 1 kid in the neighborhood.

Thank You Saint George

I'd like to take a moment to thank the community of Saint George for being such a great place to visit as a couple of cyclists from Canada.

We rode the Veyo Loop, we dipped into Nevada to ride the Valley of Fire, went from La Verkin to Zion and drove up to ride Bryce Canyon.

We got into Vegas and after putting our bikes together we noticed both had issues. Red Rock Cycling helped us out and got our bikes in working shape within a couple of hours which was amazing for us. Back home it would be a week to get the bikes in. Actually, it seemed every interaction we had with people was outstanding.

For example, while riding the Veyo Loop we got a puncture and then our hand pump actually broke the spare tubes' valves (yes we have a new hand pump now). A young gentlemen actually stopped, and drove us back to Saint George where our vehicle was parked. We grabbed his address and we're looking forward to sending him down some Ketchup chips and Hawkins Cheezies. :)

I guess I just wanted to drive home what an awesome community you all have here and publically thank you all for making our trip a memorable one.

Thanks again!
