My Astros A40’s just gave out on me and I bought the artics nova pro wired. What would be the best setup for apex legends that’s the main game I play. TIA!!

I have set idle timout to 1 minute but it always keeps the screen on while the pc is on. I updated the software on the steelseries app, I also tried putting windows in power but it still doenst shut the screen off. Does anyone know the fix?

I do have Dolby Atmos, so should I just use the game profile that they provide? Or just I just keep it in stereo mode in Sonar and just tweak the EQ?

This is a last resort - seen a couple of threads here with no solution. Niche issue but has affected users before so I hope there’s a known fix.

After an hour or so my mic will stop working on my Arctis 5 while plugged into PS5. The only way I can tell it’s not working is if party chat members say i’ve gone quiet, no disconnection message, happens whether i’m in party, discord or game chat. When it has dropped out and I go to calibrate the mic no audio is detected.

In order to get the mic back I have to unplug and replug the headset in or swap from Arctis 5 mic to controller mic and back again in the PS5 UI.

Tried firmware updates etc.

Steel Series support just goes in circles of offering me a warranty replacement and then denying it.

Could this be a power issue? Is 3D audio known to mess with this headset atall?

Is there a way to fix this? Found a thread from 3 years ago and i would guess it was fixed or at least someone found a fix?

Has anyone seen any info on what's coming on May 14? I want to buy the Arctis Nova Pros, but not if they're launch a new set of headsets

Hey Steelseries. My older Arctis pro wired finally gave out. I'm looking to replace it.

I'm wondering what the differences are between the nova pro wired and wireless.

More specifically is the wireless worth the extra $$$?

I liked the older Arctis pro, expecially the headband. I'm hoping this next one will be a bit lighter and not clamp as hard.

Also does the wireless make any abnormal whines? I've had issues with some other wireless headsets in the past making a low level buzz when idling.

I was thinking of buying the the arctis Nova 3 cuse it fits what I'm looking for in a gaming headset. Just had a question, can u save the custom eq and rgb on the headset or do u need the software running in the background to apply them? Actually, I had the same question about the arctis 5 as well....

Just bought myself the Arctis Nova Pro wireless coming from Astro A50’s with the purpose of strict use with my Xbox series x. However out of the box my audio sounded horrible like I was listing through a tin can and almost distant sounding even though still loud of course(I did do EQ tweaking to try to fix without success). I am thinking this could be due to not being able to run their software as I am on console. However one of the batteries that came with my headset was completely dead out the box, ( as in it will not show as charging in the base station nor power on the device) so perhaps I just got a lemon. I’m just unsure at this point I am highly considering returning and going back to my A50’s before I’d give these another shot since the sound quality in comparison was extremely lacking. If anyone knows any possible reason as to why that may be I might be willing to give them another shot. Either way due to the fully dead battery this pair is being returned.

I've been using the Arctics 7 for the past 4-5 years, and it is still working great. The battery life is getting lower and lower though, and the cloth strap is getting longer than my desk at this point, but my biggest worry is that the usb connecting the special radio thingy is also having issues. Meaning, it is nearing its end of life.

I am thinking about upgrading to an arctics nova pro wireless. Unfortunately I've been reading 2 different opinions about it: Its either the best thing they bought, or the worst thing. I just wanted to check if anyone can help me with some up-to-date opinion, and how is it compared to the artics 7, if anyone upgraded from it.

I would mainly use it for listening to music, gaming, listening to podcasts, and making music too (I create music as a hobby for myself, no need to get the pitchfork audiophile people)

Is there a way to factory reset this thing? I can barely see the keys now. I know its not broken because when holding down the steelseries button certain lights turn on as well as caps lock. i tried messing around in the steelseries app to no avail...

I'm out of ideas to fix the audio echoing issue on my ps5.

A couple days ago the audio on my ps5 started echoing constantly to anybody I party chat with, with nothing getting rid of it. I went and bought new headphones, steel series arctis 7 wireless ones because I heard people saying that switching to wireless worked for them to get rid of it. It's now even worse because I hear the echo myself and not even any audio. I have the little dongle thing attached and everything. What do I do?? Please help

does anyone have experience with these ear cushions? If the link wont open or something, its a geekria microsuede, but it says its compatible with various ath m50, m45 etc headsets. It seems to be the same dimensions but a bit thicker, which is just what Im looking, as the headset causes me a bit of discomfort when my ear touches the driver for long hours. Additionally, has anyone else fixed the issue by buying a different pair of cushions? I was looking at brainwavzs but they cost twice as much as the ones i linked. Wicked cushions also has an option but i hear those are narrow and the same thickness so they dont help with the issue

It has been 3 weeks since I’ve used both my Xbox and my headset. Before I stopped, I had no issues.

Now, my Xbox is on. My headset is on. I’ve checked for updates. I don’t see any. I’m getting sound thru my TV, but I’m not getting any sound other than the beeps that indicate the headset is on or off. I don’t know what the issue is. I’ve reset my Xbox. I’ve reset the thingy that comes with the headset. I’ve turned the headset on and off again. I’ve checked for updates. I’m getting really pissed off about this issue. What’s going on? How in the hell do I fix this?

I got tired of having to plug swap between 3 devices. Confirmed working ELECABLE usb-c KVM switch (8k@60, X00451ZTGB). Base stations Xbox jack to XSX, Base stations USB jack to KVM switch, Plug PC & PS5 to KVM Switch. It's now just an easy button press to switch between PC & PS5. KVM switch comes with a lot of cables but I still needed longer ones for my rig. So a couple 6' Anker USB-C to A are a good bet.

I'm experiencing a problem with my Arctis 7+ where the chat audio despite being at 100% volume in Windows, the fader being in the middle or maxed on chat, is still quieter than it's supposed to be. Not only that, sometimes it produces weird sound artifacts (hard to really quantify) where certain sounds will come through louder sounding a bit distorted or something. Normal chat audio seems to normally be fine, but other things that might come through like on Discord with screen sharing tends to have the issue.

I tried disabling EQ, reinstalling the drivers, reinstalling GG, factory resetting the headset. Nothing seems to be working. I did notice that despite the headset fader being in the middle that in GG the fader is in fact not showing up in the middle, but that shouldn't really matter. It's possible the drivers aren't uninstalling or re-installing properly, I'm not sure to be honest.

I tried opening up a ticket and they offered the potential solution of doing the factory reset which didn't work. Afterwards they asked if I could try without GG software, which doesn't make sense because Sonar isn't going to work if Sonar isn't on.

Afterwards they hit me with the warranty email. After replying with my info, it turns out my headset is no longer under warranty and they just said "okay, ticket closed".

I'm not sure what to do at this point. Should I just give up on this headset? Considering that the game audio sounds completely fine, why would I think that this is an issue with the headset itself? I believe this may be a software issue, but I don't honestly have any idea.

I've recommended SteelSeries to about 4-5 people now who have all bought their headsets. I feel like I trust SteelSeries quite a lot, but I'm seeing more and more issues with their headsets and I'm starting to lose faith in this company. It's just hard to justify dropping another $150+ out of pocket for a headset that may just break again after a year.

Anyone else have an issue like this before? Any suggestions?

I broke the USB-C transmitter on my headset a couple weeks after I bought it. I tried to use the aux cord that came with the headset to use it but audio only comes through the left ear and the mic doesn’t work. Am I missing something? Does it not function wired?

Hello everyone, I want to ask, I have the steel series arctis 9x, but I decided to buy the PS5, it works for me by connecting them with a jack cable, my question would be, these work with a dongle and because connecting them to the PC jack sounds better than when they are connected to control the ps5

I would love these:

#1-Make it available for separate purchase day 1.

#2-Full color screen with eq animation options & option to fully turn off screen until touching controls again.

#3-Fully intergrate sonar in the dac. This is more for console users & would greatly strengthen the brand imo. Allow up to 12 custom eq/mic saves

#4-Option for dual usb inputs simultaneously, on/off option.

#5-2 additional jacks for balanced headphone & mic.

I know it sounds like it is asking alot but next gen needs more than a 3 slapped on it with a slight cosmetic change.

I own a sensei ten which I haven’t had any problems with until today, the mouse have been randomly disconnected 5 times today and refuses to work until I take out the usb and put it back in. When this happend the lights on my apex pro keyboard turned off and turned on after a second or so.

The only things I have tried it switching usb port, restarted PC, checked for updates in steelseries app and on Windows, updated my drivers. But still doesn’t work.
