My family is planning to move from London Ontario (we no longer feel that London is safe) and my wife and I wanted to know which neighbourhood would be the safest to bring up our kids in (access to the best school and basic amenities in mind).
Edit:Thank you to the ones that actually answered my question and recommended some areas to look into with amenities.
As the title says, tell me where you think the best baklava is in the city! Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I’ve been working in fast food chains in the region for over three years, and I’m glad this issue is finally being exposed on a national level. Tipped off: Exposing where your tips really go | CBC News
Did you know that in many places where you tip, those tips often don’t go to the employees? Instead, they end up in the pockets of the owners.
I wanted to bring this up because it’s a harsh reality that many workers face, especially in the fast food and service industries. It’s frustrating to see customers tipping, thinking they’re supporting the hardworking staff, only for that money to line the pockets of the owners instead. Employees are often forbidden from speaking up about this. Many fear losing their jobs if they try to expose this unfair practice.
Let’s discuss and spread awareness on it.
Hello, My mother in law is looking to move from her bungalow to a seniors residence. But it seems like all the independent living retirement homes have kitchenettes and not full kitchens. My MIL likes to bake, sometimes makes kombucha and other stuff and would like a full size kitchen. On the other hand, she would appreciate being able to have meals provided when she wants, as well as other services like cleaning, social activities, etc.
I feel like she’s looking for a unicorn. As any place that provides meals seems to be full service only (3 meals) and therefore the units don’t have kitchens.
Is there somewhere in at Catherine’s that has both? If not, is there a nice seniors rental building that has no meals but may have some other amenities a regular rental wouldn’t?
Thanks
I used to see soup bones in supermarkets all the time. I like them use them as a treat for my dog. Does anyone know a place where they sell them fairly regularly?
Sabrina Kauldhar, 30, is charged with first-degree murder in a Toronto homicide and second-degree murder in connection with homicides in Niagara Falls and Hamilton.Updated 1 hr agoNov. 29, 20241 min readSaveSabrina Kauldhar.Niagara Regional Police photoBy Alison LangleyReporter Niagara Falls ReviewA Toronto woman accused in three slayings over three days in early October, including the murder of a Niagara Falls father, made a brief appearance in a St. Catharines courtroom on Friday.Sabrina Kauldhar, 30, appeared in Ontario Court of Justice via video from Vanier Centre for Women in Milton.Wearing a green sweatshirt and a dark-coloured head covering, Kauldhar remained standing for the duration of the appearance and mumbled incoherently when asked questions by justice of the peace Patricia Lavallee. A representative from Legal Aid told court “there might be some impairment going on” and said she would contact the woman’s lawyer to advise her about her next appearance. No one appeared in court on behalf of Toronto lawyer Sherif Foda, who has been appearing on the woman’s behalf relating to a murder charge in Toronto.Assistant Crown attorney Suzanne Johnson said the Crown’s office is in the process of reviewing information recently provided by Niagara Regional Police and requested the matter be adjourned.Kauldhar is to return to court in Niagara on Monday. She is charged with first-degree murder in a Toronto homicide and second-degree murder in connection with homicides in Niagara Falls and Hamilton. She appeared in a Toronto courtroom on Wednesday. At that hearing, the judge expressed frustration over the fact a Crown attorney had yet to be assigned to the “complicated” matter, and asked that a mental health assessment scheduled for next month not take place until the designation is made. The court heard a Crown attorney needs to be assigned to the case before an assessment hearing can take place.Ontario Court Justice Heather Pringle asked that a message be passed along to the deputy Crown’s office: “Please tell them (I’m) very frustrated that no Crown has been assigned (and) that it’s a very complicated matter that needs to be assigned ASAP.”Added Pringle, “I don’t think it should go any further without an assigned Crown.” The Toronto matter was adjourned to Dec. 20.The first homicide victim, Trinh Thi Vu, 66, was found dead inside a Toronto basement apartment on Oct. 1.Forty-seven-year-old Lance Cunningham was killed on Oct. 2 while walking his dogs at John N Allan Park in Niagara Falls. Apologies for yet another moving post, but trying to get an actual grasp on things has been a bit nebulous. I'm from the Maritimes originally, but have been in the States for a long time, so I don't exactly have a grasp on the true cost of living in the Niagara region.
I was offered a job and my partner and I are looking at a relocation. We have one young child. My partner is not a Canadian citizen, so I worry how long the process will take for her to obtain a work visa, much less a job. The offer is ~$100,000 CAD. Is that enough to properly sustain a family in St. Catherine's? What I've been able to find suggests that monthly expenses between hydro, housing and food is around $4,000 per month. Of course, that isn't account any childcare or that sort of thing.
Appreciate any insight, and thank you for reading this far.
Is it just me or have Zooz (Safari Niagara) season passes gotten crazy expensive. I checked my reciept and I paid $33 in 2022. This year its $89 which is apparently $25 off the regular price. I thought they usually go about 50% off at Christmas. Do we think that they will be reduced more or is this as good as it gets?
Where is the most affordable place to get a real Christmas tree?
