/r/Stateparks
This subreddit is for anything pertaining to state parks! There is a subreddit for National parks and I wanted there to be one for state parks as well because they were such a huge part of my childhood and are still a major part of my life.
Right now the only rules are that your post has to have something to do with a State Park.
Please do not post about National Parks! They are great, but should be submitted to /r/nationalparks or /r/nationalpark! Thanks!
Mexico and Australia also have State Parks and Canada has Provincial Parks. Feel free to post about those as well and head over to /r/provincialparks for more!
What things could you post?
Do you like kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain climbing? How about snorkeling, caving, or bird watching? Submit photos or videos that you take of you doing these activities in your favorite State Parks! Or just submit pictures of the park in general.
Submit stories about your trip to the state park!
Want to know what State parks are near you and hear from someone who has been there? Try asking!
I really want this subreddit to be successful because I believe there are a lot of treasures hidden in State Parks that people in other states do not always know about like they do with National Parks and I want to see and hear about them too!
If you are looking for some awesome places near you to go camping head on over to /r/campingspots for suggestions!
If you want to ask a park ranger some questions head on over to /r/parkrangers to get them answered!

Is there a way to filter the posts to only show ones with fresh water lakes and or streams/brooks?
If not, ca ya'll share your favorite state parks with tent sites that have water & electric & also have a lake you can swim in or a brook/stream you can sit in? Gratefully appreciated. Thanks!
Looking for a list of the pin numbers for the Indiana nature passport.

Took a hike up to Frary Peak at Antelope Island State Park in Utah. A great view of the salt lake from up here.
