Star Wars Legends: Boba Fett Blood Ties TPB found at Ollie’s for $7.99

I had seen this at comic shops shortly before the release of The Book Of Boba Fett, likely as a cash-in. $34.99 was a bit steep at the time, so this became an obscurity on my Expanded Universe hit list.

Then I took a pit stop at Ollie’s to look at some Trades. The rest is history. It’s all the more appropriate considering I do not own any of the comics collected in this compilation.

Is the modern era collection the same as legends? Or is legends over?

I've been collecting the epic collection for many years and it looks like droids & ewoks is the last one, and now we have the modern era. However I'm confused as to whether the modern era is just a reprint or completely new? E.g. are the Darth Vader shadows stories no in the legends collection within the 8 empire volumes? Thank you all

About the bled kyber crystal in Soule's run of Star Wars.

Let me preface this by saying that I loved this arc. I loved, loved, loved it. Easily my favorite one of the whole run.

But the way it ended was singularly bizarre. I do not understand the decision to have this crystal that Luke heals be a different one from the one in his green Lightsaber. To write all of these comics where he goes through all of this effort to heal a kyber crystal only to then say "nah, I don't want this one" is such a strange decision, from a writing perspective.

To nip the most obvious reason in the bud – yes, I am aware of the implication that bled kyber crystal turn white, not green, when purified. But that's just the thing – that's only implied. There is no explicit lore that that's always the case, and no previous stories would have been contradicted by having Luke heal a crystal and it turning green.

And I think that would have made for a better story, frankly. He made a real bond with the red crystal, went through so much effort to heal it, and then just... Got rid of it. It turned a potentially brilliant origin story for his lightsaber into this jarring tangent on par with him throwing the Skywalker blade over his shoulder in The Last Jedi.

I have a 14 hour flight in a few weeks, and have never read a Star Wars comic. Where do I start? (more info below)

I have seen all of the movies multiple times, I’ve watched most of the Clone Wars tv show.

Until recently the underbelly was not appealing, the gunslinger stuff wasn’t what interested me at all. Star Wars was always about the power fantasy of magic users with cool glowing swords. The Jedi fallen games satisfied that, and weirdly enough Outlaws has grown on me and I’m a big fan of the underworld crime side of stuff.

I know there is a titular series for pretty much every major character, but I also don’t want slop. It can be focused on Vader (I know his run is a big deal of course) or it could be on a jedi I’ve never heard of. Shit, it could be non-canon, I played a fuck ton of the star wars MMO so I’m not sure if that’s canon or not, but that whole era is so cool with it’s world building and specifically the yellow sabers).

I’m an average fan of the universe, who is ready to take the plunge. Thanks!

Why wouldn't Chanath go along with Lando's plan here? Isn't "getting Vader sent after me" exactly what she wants?

I know the real answer is that this came out before Soule's later works that further fleshed out her motivations but in-universe it does come off a bit strange. Was she trying to protect Lando? Did she want to assemble a team before taking on Vader? In Crimson Reign it's established that she became one of Palpatine's operatives in the hopes of getting closer to Vader so that lasy option doesn't make a ton of sense.

What do you guys think?

Need help with pricing!

Hello all :D

I am clearing out my room and came across an old gem. 'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The Marvel Comics Version'. The colours and pages are all fine, just a few age related marks to the cover. Would anyone have any clue as to what this would go for ?

Many thanks!

Got this during Black Friday...

... And I don't regret AT ALL!

I read the Darth Vader and the main Star Wars series and wasn't very into Aphra character, but her series is sooooooooooo good 😱

I'm already at 1/3 of the first omnibus and I can't believe i slept on this series for so long ahaha.

Any other star wars stories I need to read after Aphra?

Do you guys think there will be a third series ?

Legacy omnibus question

Does the Legacy Omnibus 1 & 2 cover the whole of the first series? I know the War mini/follow up isn’t in it, but is #0-50 in these two books?
