What do you guys think about the bright star on the top right corner what is it?
Device 15 PM contrast +2.0
I recently took this in Croatia. It took my phone 4min in astronomy mode, not sure if this is the real shutter time tho. There is definitely some HDR and AI magic in play as well i guess. What do you think?
Just looked beautiful. Could even see the Andromeda Galaxy on the left side.
30 second exposure on my iPhone 15 pro max. I thought maybe some weird lens reflection from the leds in the garden below… but the line is really straight in the sky. Meteor? Aliens?
So I’m from the southern hemisphere and I typically use those 3 stars to show me where East is. If they are on my left I know I’m facing east.
Now I live in the northern hemisphere(where that pic was taken), and it seems that they have to be on my right hand side for me to be facing east.
What is the name of the constellation? I want to learn more about it and why it’s flipped.
recently i have been seeing so many shooting stars! growing up i NEVER saw them, but in the past month i have seen like 3 or 4, are they more common than i thought? i’ve grown up in LA my whole life so perhaps light pollution comes into play.
I always see it when I’m out in my garden. I’m in the UK
No context. Just stars.
