Help & Questions

So i love exploring and have always loved caves but recently got interested in it after finding one in Adk by accident while taking a leak. To this day i still can't remember where it is. I didn't go in just looked in it with a flashlight. Fast forward a few months later and searching for it online i stumble across a old pdf of a cave call Spencer's Cave. Its exact location is kept secret in this pdf. But a map with its general location is given. I will put the link here. I wanna know a few things.

  1. Does anyone know of this cave?
  2. Can you help me locate a small search area to find it based on the map?
  3. Is it possible its gone due to man made and natural effects?

Pdf is close the top right or just search spencers cave in google. Really interesting read about rocks as well besides the cave.

What cave was I in, in Cheddar Gorge?

I've been caving once, a friend took me into a cave in Cheddar Gorge, at least 40 years ago. I think the entrance was low and close to the ground. At first we had to squeeze between flat slabs of rock, later there was more squeezing through constricted tunnels, I think there was something called a tie-press, there was a section where you had to lower your legs through a hole, not able to see what you were going to land on.

I wonder if anyone is able to identify the cave from that description.

Has anyone had the idea of taking a 360 camera into the caves with them?

This activity has recently caught my interest and was wondering if anyone has thought of using some of the new cameras available. I don't think there's enough videos of this stuff online and this would create more interest in what you're doing. Just a thought.
