would a 140 get around the scunthorpe speedway track well? i believe it's 285m long, just curious if a 140 would be a bit too underpowered for a track of that size or if it would be alright.
Why do riders repeatedly stamp and drag their foot on the ground when getting ready at the start of a race?
I've been riding a 125 for a while now and during my practice starts i've always been dumping the clutch and my bike stays relatively well on the ground.
i'm looking into getting a larger engine quite soon and i am aware that the increased engine size with the increase of power coming with it will affect how a start should be done.
here's my question to other riders, would it be better to rev it lower and still dump the clutch or to rev it more and feather the clutch out? i've watched riders do both but i think id just like to hear some of your opinions.
I’ve recently got back into speedway having not seen it for around 10 years or so. I like watching the uk competition and gp on tv in the UK.
However, I’m wondering if / where I can find watch the polish or other leagues on tv in the uk. Can anyone offer any suggestions other than using a vpn?
I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on pros/cons of gate picking after a team winning the coin toss.
Seems to me that it's nearly always better to choose heat 15 unless the weather is bad & you might not get there.
I know that the spread of gates is not even i.e. you will get more of one pair of gates in the first half of the meeting compared to the second & track conditions will probably change but possibly losing early on with the weaker gates + then maybe having the bonus of getting a tactical sub ride plus stronger gates later plus having the final gate pick, when you are certain which gates are strongest at the time, seems stronger to me.
Thoughts?
Hi, I’ve recently started to watch speedway (Sheffield Tigers) and I’ve noticed something when trying to have a look at some other competitions - namely there seems to be the more team focused (premiership, ekstraliga etc) and then the rider focused one’s (Grand Prix etc) and what I want to know is this: are there any team focused European wide leagues, like for example the Champions League in football, or is the sport not big enough for that? Also while I’m asking, are there any clubs that actually own their ground, because I’ve heard a big problem in the uk with speedway is that the grounds get closed or demolished, leaving clubs homeless?
Hi all i upload videos on speedway on my channel and itll mean alot if some people could watch the videos thanks

My grandfather was really into speedway. He got interested with Bristol bulldogs and then followed the Poole pirates, where he took me to see Zorro and his showmanship at the Poole stadium.
I've seen that Poole are no longer in the premier League, and it doesn't look like there is a promotion/relegation anymore... What happened?
I'm watching the Warsaw round 2 speedway and there is literally no commentator did the guy die or something?
Anyone know why the endurance racing is being broadcast rather then the speedway?
Hi all. I've uncovered in the depths of my memorabilia 4 Bristol Bulldogs programmes from 1977 and 78, including the Open Tournament which kicked off speedway at the Eastville Stadium. Anyone interested in them?
So?
Anyone know any stream or website where I can watch British speedway?
I saw him last year and he was quite fast I saw him at sun gold stadium in Warrnambool
2023 comes to the end. Which was the best heat in this year in your opinion?
To me it was the final of SGP Gorzów. Zmarzlik was chasing angrily Lindgren and Madsen. That was sick heat!!
Hi guys
Just wanted to ask if there were any of you guys who play speedway go 15 on the pc on steam? If so feel free to message me as I'm looking to try and get some races going again.
Are there any DLCs or separate games (3D) available for purchase? Can't find any. Will appreciate your advices.
i accidentally went to my first speedyway event in saturday. my dads friend is very into it but his friend pulled out so we went to cardiff
i must admit i hate stadiums and all the kids with horns but oh my god i love the sport! i’ve been watching clips and races non stop. as a motorsports fan i can 100% say speedway is currently more entertaining than formula 1 the biggest motorsport.
i liked his the fans all come together lots of foreign people coming to this massive stadium the atmosphere was amazing!
If you were given the chance, would you have a go? Or have you tried it before?
Your earliest memories?
Like the title says is there a way to watch? Also I just found a YouTube channel that has posted some premiership races and I love it.
Anyone been to belle Vue stadium would you recommend the stadium section with seating or the terrace section where you stand up? Are the more die hard fans in the terrace area?
Let's make this subreddit live again, can't believe there's only few speedway fans on reddit ;)
Next rounds of GP is coming (Teterow), but i would like to ask, whom you miss in GP? I would say Iversen and Zagar, somehow they (almost) always manage to win a around every season, maybe they weren't the best, but liked to watch em. What's your thought?
I know it's already in progress, but come on! It's a pleasure to watch Dan this season. With every GP he's getting better and better, thought Thomsen might be a rival for Zmarzlik, but seems like Ginger can beat him this season, good luck for him.
Usually how much long does the individual speedway world championship final be?
