So I want to get a game where I play as a space organization that has to research, develop, launch rockets, and manage funds.
It eventually goes from aiming for the moon, to Mars, to colonization. and further onwards. Ideally there would be a space race.
I have tried kerbal space program, It isn't exactly what I am looking for.
What have you been playing right now? What are you excited to see come out in the near future? If you're making a game, what are you working on? Anything Space Sim Game related, let us know.
Hey all, brand new here, and to the genre in general. I'm looking for a game (on PC) that I can play with my wife, brother, and friends. Ideally, everyone has different roles on the ship; Captain, engineering, gunners, etc. Being able to move about the ship is something I am set on, and some degree of customization as far as ship loadout, and different ship types are a plus. Looking for something that has a lot of replayability, and is primarily pve focused, but I'm not 100% against something that has pvp. Ideally the learning curve isn't insane, but I'm open to games with more complexity.
Void Crew looks like a very close match to what I'm looking for, but I was hoping for some more suggestions to check out. Thanks for your time!
i thought it was a good game but the bugs and tedium made it so i spent half my time trying to understand what was happening, 30% of my time dying and having to get new stuff, and 20% of my time actually flying
any advice?

I was wondering if folks had any game recommendations for RTS or 4x games with ground combat where you can actually control or otherwise get involved with ground combat, ideally seamlessly? I'd prefer deeper\crunchier mechanics if possible, but if there's a game that fits the bill I won't complain!
Some games that come to mind that I know of, or have played that get close to this are:
Star Wars Empire at War (not seamless, but really good) Fragile Existence (bang on, but unreleased) Dual Worlds 2 (combat is hands-off) Stellaris (hands-off)
If anyone has any recommendations, I'd appreciate it! Thanks all!
Hey guys I would like to know about some low spec stellaris alternatives, something that I can easily learn and master, it’s ok if it has a learning curve but I don’t want to read 19393 pages of a wiki to make a building. Also it doesn’t have to be limited to 4X.
I also accept suggestions for games like galimulator, etc etc
I wanted to ask if there is any sim that is similar or better than space engine. I'm looking for one that is just the raw experience of flying a ship, from take off, to going into space, alongside having mechanics like docking etc. I'm not really interested in the game having any purpose or goal in mind, just simply to fly around in space. I have seen multiple posts with a lot of recommendations, but none of them seem to be similar to space engine (even though the main purpose of space engine isn't flying around in a ship). Elite dangerous was the most common one I saw, but after seeing its gameplay i wasnt really interested in the warping and extra parts. Like i said, I just want to fly around and explore space in a decent looking sim (with a accurate scale) that has realistic physics. Any recommendations are welcome, thank you
Hi spacesimgamers,
We're working hard on the next big update of Earth Analog, called v2.0.0. It will change the game in radical ways. The highlights are listed here: Steam page
To make sure the new gameplay systems are polished and engaging, we’re inviting players to join a playtest of the build, which includes the first 2.5 planets of the main quest line. If you’re interested in playtesting and providing valuable feedback, please email us at info at funcraft-games dot net for further instructions. All playtest participants will receive a free copy of the full game as a thank-you!
Best regards,
nkm

Looking for some good space sim games for mobile and i was hoping this wonderful group could suggest things outside of the google play store ??
I normally pillage everything i can from google play and looking to scratch the itch but want to look outwards and try to find something not typically listed or no longer listed.
any and all suggestions welcome and appricated :) thank you
As title says, a space sim game where exploration could also be trading or a combination of both and ship management is the focus. i want something I can play on trips on my laptop. So better not too demanding on hardware.
I have a Asus Flow Z13, so it's not too bad, but struggles with cooling after a while.
EDIT: I should add, I'm no big fan of those deck games I guess they are called? Those you attack other ships based on a deck of cards.
I'm trying to find my niche so to speak. I love all space sims, and space games, but I'm looking for a game to associate myself with.
I tried some Elite Dangerous, but the material collection grind is unfun. I almost filled up my bins with manufactured materials, but the material trading ratio is so shit that it's becoming a waste of my time.
Star Citizen is my second choice, but I lack a PC powerful enough to wield it properly.
My next choice after that is X4 Foundations. With the DLC, and the open sandbox nature of the game, I figured I could get many hours worth of gameplay out of it. The only concern I have with that is the gameplay itself becomes mostly menu based towards the mid to late game. Might be boring for people to watch?
I welcome any and all input, maybe there's a game with replayability that's gone under my radar. Love y'all.
