A place for fans of Space Quest and love for Roger Wilco, as well as for fans of classic or new adventure games.

Did it release? How was it? I remember reading about it initially but I haven’t heard anything recent.
So in the original version of Droids B Us in Space Quest 1, there is a certain security droid called "The Peacemaker" on a pedestal on the main floor. You cannot buy it as it costs more buckazoids than you can earn on the slot machine (can only get 250 max before the machine breaks). I seem to have this memory, however, of buying the security droid and it killing you. Is this some kind of weird false memory?
After more than a year of having big Lego Roger around, it could only end one way….
You can see his former adventures on my instagram - hcbricks.
I dunno if i'm allowed to ask this here but theres a little track im trying to find that i KNOW is from space quest but i cant remember the name or which game its from :( i thought it was from the first one but i couldnt find it um heres a terrible rendition of me trying to copy it https://voca.ro/1l6p8NEUgOvK
Again i dont know if im allowed to ask this here so if not im sorry but i do really want to find it so i can hear how its supposed to sound againn
Heard the cd-rom version of Next Mutation WOULD have a vocal track, Gary Owens as narrator, the guy from SQ4 comin back as Roger Wilco (if there were any else I didn’t see a proposed cast list). So I would LOVE to see fans give this mid tier game the voiceworked it deserves and some decent funny people reading lines for Flo, Droole, Smirk and the rest of this maligned TNG spoof
I have been replaying all the Space Quest games recently on my Steam Deck, but I am using a few of the modern fan remakes for some of the releases (SQ2 and SQ3). I had issues getting this game working on my Steam Deck, so I wanted to know if Apple's newer Game Porting Kit would allow it to run.
I was pleasantly surprised that I could quickly get Space Quest 3D working on my M2 Macbook by installing Whisky and then using that to install Space Quest 3 3D from its installer.
Found these in my file cabinet today. Yes I am old.
Sorry for the stupid question, but this sub seem to be the closest place to ask about SpaceVenture. I don't get what is the current status of the game. The Kickstarter campaign is still running, but google says the game was already released, but it's not in any store, yet I hear it's been released to kickstarter backers. So many questions: is the game finished? Why can't I just buy it? Do I get the game if I back the kickstarter campaign now? Will I get a final version or a broken beta?
Could you explain please? I love SQ series since childhood and was looking forward to the spiritual successor, but it's so obscure, I can't find any info.
Hello all, just joined. I love this series and other sierra games. I have since I was a kid. Now I teach game design and I am doing a complete playthrough of the entire space quest series. I just finished space quest 4. I remember playing this as a kid and not liking it as much as 3 or 5. The first part in Xenon (SQ12) seems a bit janky on loading screens. The whole game really...I remember loading different disks but maybe I can adjust some settings to smooth this out? Maybe I am just used to being able to help students smooth things out. SQ5 seems a lot smoother. Any ideas? If I am over thinking, I totally get that. Haha Thanks for having this subreddit!
Besides Star Trek and Star Wars (obviously), what other major sci-fi series does the Space Quest Series parody?
I went decades before realizing a couple of the name jokes in Space Quest. We should get a list going because I'm sure there's many other fans that missed these as well. I'll start:
Ulence Flats : Flatulence Kiz Urazgubi : Kiss your ass goodbye
Anyone else find good ones????
