This subreddit is an experimental TV channel for /r/sorceryofthespectacle. Don't gum it up with crap. Videos can still be posted in /r/sorceryofthespectacle, but this is a place that could be used to share more widely, including bits of the spectacle itself, rather than just focusing on critique. Music videos, satire, theory, documentaries, narratives, etc. of quality can all be shared.
The point of this TV subreddit is, since we're mostly all addicted to the spectacle anyway, maybe we can create an extremely high-quality channel so we can at least watch good stuff.
Existential TV Ethics
Really, think carefully, if you are going to spend 1 minute, or 1 second in front of the TV, that is a moment you will never get back on your inexorable slide towards death. How do you want to spend it, really? Watching some guy rant about how much TV sucks? Or watching a porpoise dance underwater? Choose wisely.
Enjoy the new channel, and remember to post only the highest qualty shit.
Building a Shared Mythoscape
A TV channel for spectacular anti-spectacle media—certain things are ideal to post:
Narratives which image the spectacle, allowing us to see the Language and the Megamyth
Satire of the spectacle (détournement)
Weird, amazing, and original shit which breaks our expectations of media
Documentaries are acceptable, but absurd, spectacular, mock, or anti-documentaries are even better
