Hello! I’m currently a senior in high school and I really want to apply to OU. I was wondering if anyone could send me their alumni application fee waiver please? Before the November 1st deadline.
Hi, I’m looking for elective course idea’s they can be upper or lower division. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!😊
Ima Bama fan but I’m kinda interested on how you guys feel about this
All the BV sunshine pumpers want to point to BV changing the defense as a reason to keep him and I don’t understand why accepting mediocrity is ok at this university. This isn’t the best stats but comparing our defense to others:
Temple least points: 0 v SMU (3 v OU)
Houston least points: 0 v cincy, ISU (12 v OU)
Tulane least points: 19 v OU
Tennessee least points: 14 v Ark (25 v OU)
Auburn least points: 13 v Georgia (21 v OU)
Texas least points: 15 v Georgia (34 v OU)
South Carolina least points: 3 v Ole Miss (35 v OU)
Ole Miss least points: 17 v Kentucky (26 v OU)
Only once have we allowed the least amount of points. Granted this is football and every game is different, but we aren’t even close in most cases and schools that are far inferior as far as talent seem to do just as good if not better than us in many cases. This is BV’s THIRD year, this is unacceptable for a team returning Bowman, Stutsman and others. I’m out on the BV train, I think the university would have to do a complete overhaul to get back to where we’re suppose to be.
The culture sucks, the team sucks, the defense is overrated by most fans and worst of all, you can tell the players aren’t having fun. I’m disgusted by the team in almost every way (because of the coaches).
I could write a novel on the offense… (BV is to blame at the end of the day)
Hey! I’m a current senior looking to apply to OU. I was wondering if there are any alumni willing to give me their fee waiver code before November 1st? Thank you so much!
Sooner fan here born and bred. I read something that said a lot of sooner fans also root for Oklahoma state in Oklahoma. Now, I don’t live in Oklahoma. But my dad is born and raised in Norman. He said couples and family were split on the schools. I was thinking also people who grew up Sooners fans and went to ok state or vise versa. Blake Shelton at college game day said he roots for both schools.
Me personally I would want ok state to win because it makes bedlam better. Wouldn’t really call myself a fan though. What do you guys think?
Edit: wow, didn’t expect to get this much reply’s. So, it does look like that most OU fans and even some Oklahoma state fans respect and even cheer for one another.
I seen a chart today with the cfb all time passing leaders.. LJ was 4th on the list. Idk if it’s bad memory or me being younger when he was at Oklahoma.. but for some reason I don’t remember him being that good, like I vividly remember him not being good and not liked. Don’t hate on me.. I was like 9-13 when he was playing so I could totally be wrong about this lol
Despite the tough loss, there are some real positives to take away from the first half, particularly with JJF’s game plan. For weeks, we’ve struggled with the run game, bashing our heads with inside zone and split zone yielded little success, and there wasn’t much complexity or layering to the attack.
But this time, JJF broke tendencies and it worked. We saw multiple variations of the counter play, paired with tight end inserts, and it gave us a much-needed spark. The physicality of guys like Bauer Sharp (yes, Bauer freaking Sharp) in the insert game really stood out, and it led to one of the best halves of football we’ve played in the SEC so far.
The second half was a different story. Protection issues started to show up, and the play-calling got a bit too cute. The 4th quarter sequence at the 7-minute mark, down two possessions, was a real turning point. We had 1st-and-10 at the 13-yard line and went with a tight end trick pass, a QB counter that got blown up, and then a sack to effectively end the game.
Pass protection continues to be a major concern. Opposing defenses are forcing us into negative game scripts, which allows them to tee off on our quarterback. This has to change.
It’s something tangible to build on as we move forward, and it shows there’s potential when the game plan evolves. We need to lean on he physicality in the run game. Stick to it, keep our quarterback decisive, and focus on protecting the ball. If we can establish the run and keep the pressure off our quarterback, we’ll get that second win needed for a bowl game .Let’s hope we see more of this creativity and execution in the weeks ahead.
For the first time all year - Counter and Insert are our top plays besides IZ/Spilt Zone.
Completion % vs Pressure Rate/Sack Rate.
Sack Rate rising each week. Pressure is getting home.
Missouri matches up well as they are struggling with Edge Pressure.
But Alabama and LSU both are in the top 5 in the SEC.
Anyone here donate to the NIL? What’s your experience so far?
I’d like to learn more. They’re gonna have to pay folks to dig themselves outta this hole.
Is there a way to donate a large sum annually? I only see an option of like $900 on the website.
Any alumni that would help me with an application fee waiver would be greatly appreciated. I am a senior in high school and very interested in air traffic control.
Hello from Alabama and yalls crimson cousins. Driving home from Tuscaloosa this morning, the wife and I were talking about trying to make it to Norman for our matchup next month. Always have loved OU when we weren’t playing each other so it seems like a great chance to see the Palace on the Plains. We have a travel trailer we take on trips, do yall have any suggestions where we could camp? Any must do things for visitors?
This guy hasn’t put together a relevant class since the Baker era… the “makeshift” line of underrated guys might have worked in the big 12 but this is SEC football now. The standard at Oklahoma is not the 128th nationally ranked line and it won’t fly in the SEC. I don’t care who you put in the league in the past this is now. Here are some recruiting numbers (WHICH IS A PART OF COACHING) to back up why me and so many others are done with him.
2021 SEC announced, Brent and Sark vouch to get better in trenches to prepare…
Texas in 2022: 7 OL recruits, 2 5stars, 2 4stars all on roster
OU in 2022: 2 OL recruits, Taylor (4 star) & Sexton unranked 4 star hometown kid 2 transfers Guyton 4 star TCU Mettauer 4 star cal both gone
Texas in 2023: 5 OL recruits 2 4stars all there
OU in 2023: 4 OL recruits 2 4star Bates & (Cayden green gone) 3 transfers in: Everett: App st 3 star Shaffer: Miami Ohio 3 star Rouse: Stanford 4 star not on roster anymore
Total: Texas: 12 recruits, x2 5 stars, x4 4 stars all still on roster, 6 4star+ & 6 3star recruits on roster from SEC announcement.
OU: 6 recruits total: 3 4star+ (-1 to portal) 5 transfers in (3 still on roster all 3 star guys 2 NFL guys that were rentals)
Both coaches said they needed to focus heavy on the trenches before entering the SEC to be ready, only one coach delivered (I think Brent delivered on the defensive side) and is a national championship contender back to back years. Oh and our 2021 class? Also all transferred out/not good (Byrd might get drafted)
WE ONLY HAVE 3 4star+ recruits on roster from SEC the 2021 announcement (not counting 2024 freshman because we refuse to play them not counting 2024 transfers but they were all 3 stars so still wouldn’t count) and our rival who joined at the same time has 6 and 2 of which are 5stars and 1 will be the top tackle in the draft… 2 17 year old coming in next year will not save us, Bill B is 3 years late on getting his lone 5 star since Bray Walker. This line is ranked 128 goin into Ole Miss and gave up a program record 10 sacks after program record 9 vs South Carolina!!! Bill B is lazy, didn’t recruit for shit and relied on rentals that were already good to put a mediocre line together and now it has bit him in the ass and tanked all momentum we had going into the SEC. This is only going to get worse with lack of transfers wanting to come here next year with our performance who wants to join a sinking ship? Oh and we might lose Arnold and Hawkins next year because we can’t block anyone and benched both to add a cherry on top. Our top 5 receivers quit because QBs don’t have time to throw. Which is why Bill B has failed this team not just this year, but since the SEC announcement and should be relieved of his duties.
If you are okay with becoming Nebraska comment your defense of him below.
Just applied to OU (very excited)! Their website says that "If you apply by November 1, an admission decision will be delivered to you ASAP after receiving the completed application."
How long is ASAP? A few weeks or a few months?
PROS
OU broke 300+ yards for the first time since week 3 vs Tulane.
OU held Ole Miss to 2.2 yards per rush and 68 total rush yards.
OU had a better 3rd down conversion @ 44%
Jackson went 22/31 71% 182 yards passing and 39 yards rushing.
CONS
7 sacks given up.
2 fumbles.
Secondary looked average.
Missed scoring opportunity early.
Zero defensive takeaways. Again.
Say what you will about BV. Whether you support him or not. Three coaches hired around the same time as him have their teams in the top 12 being Oregon at 1, Miami at 6, and ND at 12. There's no reason we shouldn't be ranked in year 3.
Never going to win giving that up! A tale of 2 half's. No offense in the second half.
53 Tackles for loss and 29 sacks in SEC play… he is probably the worst OL coach in the nation and we probably are the worst OL in the nation to go along with his blunder.
I don’t care about guys that played here 10 years ago… I don’t care about 5 stars coming in “next year” you are delusional if you think this man should still be employed here. We are a national embarrassment on offense and his line probably couldn’t block high school players at this rate.
Why does Arnold get all the hate when his O-line feeds any other team sacks ? It really upsets me because we’ve all seen how good he can be
It would be nice to have both sides in rhythm for a whole game.
Am I crazy or are we giving up +5 yards every damn time Ole Miss throws the ball? I’m not the most experienced football watcher but it’s so fricking frustrating watching us give the damn opponent every chance imaginable to convert 3rd down every time we’re half decent on defense.
Most anemic play calling ever think he knew he was done
Hi, I am very much eager to learn driving but I don't have a car. Is there anyway I can take driving lessons from anyone/any school who can make it possible? I am just stuck in my home in the weekends for not knowing driving. But I want to drive a rented car and roam around. Please help me with your suggestions guys.
Sorry I'm late - as someone predicted, I was in fact asleep lol
Oklahoma (4-3) vs [18] Ole Miss (5-2)

At this point it is what it is.
Our defense looks like it's finally just giving up until the offense does anything.
Even before I can finish typing this we're already down 7-0
just throwing this out there for fun! Get them in b4 kickoff …LOL
My prediction: OU 10 Ole Miss 20 Yes, I’m an OU fan and alumni and this hurts!
Hey all! Headed down to Norman for the Bama game in November and want to get right with some vintage gear. Any stores or places online I should be looking at?
